1 John

We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning,a whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.

Аб тым, што было ад пачатку, што мы чулі, што бачылі сваімі вачыма, што разглядалі і да чаго датыкаліся рукі нашыя, аб Слове жыцьця, —

This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us.

(бо жыцьцё зьявілася, і мы бачылі, і сьве́дчым, і абвяшчаем вам гэтае ве́чнае жыцьцё, якое было ў Айца і зьявілася нам),

We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

аб тым, што мы бачылі і чулі, абвяшчаем вам, каб і вы ме́лі лучнасьць з намі; а нашая лучнасьць — з Айцом і Сынам Яго Ісусам Хрыстом.

We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.b

І гэтае пішам вам, каб радасьць ваша была поўная.

This is the message we heard from Jesusc and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

І вось тое абвяшчэньне, якое мы чулі ад Яго і абвяшчаем вам: Бог ёсьць сьвятло́, і няма ў Ім жаднае це́мры.

So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.

Калі мы кажам, што маем лучнасьць з Ім, а ходзім у це́мры, дык манім і ня робім па праўдзе;

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

а калі ходзім у сьвятле́, як Ён у сьвятле́, дык маем лучнасьць між сабою, і кроў Ісуса Хрыста, Сына Ягонага, ачышчае нас ад усякага грэху.

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.

Калі кажам, што ня маем грэху, — — ашуківаем самых сябе́, і няма́ ў нас праўды.

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Калі вызнаём грахі нашыя, дык Ён — ве́рны і справядлівы, каб дараваць нам грахі нашыя і ачысьціць нас ад усякае няпраўды.

If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.

Калі кажам, што мы не саграшылі, дык робім ілжывым Яго, і няма́ ў нас слова Ягонага.
