This is what the LORD says: “The people of Moab have sinned again and again,a and I will not let them go unpunished! They desecrated the bones of Edom’s king, burning them to ashes.

Так говорит Господь: за три преступления Моава и за четыре не пощажу его, потому что он пережег кости царя Едомского в известь.

So I will send down fire on the land of Moab, and all the fortresses in Kerioth will be destroyed. The people will fall in the noise of battle, as the warriors shout and the ram’s horn sounds.

И пошлю огонь на Моава, и пожрет чертоги Кериофа, и погибнет Моав среди разгрома с шумом, при звуке трубы.

And I will destroy their king and slaughter all their princes,” says the LORD.

Истреблю судью из среды его и умерщвлю всех князей его вместе с ним, говорит Господь.

This is what the LORD says: “The people of Judah have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished! They have rejected the instruction of the LORD, refusing to obey his decrees. They have been led astray by the same lies that deceived their ancestors.

Так говорит Господь: за три преступления Иуды и за четыре не пощажу его, потому что отвергли закон Господень и постановлений Его не сохранили, и идолы их, вслед которых ходили отцы их, совратили их с пути.

So I will send down fire on Judah, and all the fortresses of Jerusalem will be destroyed.”

И пошлю огонь на Иуду, и пожрет чертоги Иерусалима.

This is what the LORD says: “The people of Israel have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished! They sell honorable people for silver and poor people for a pair of sandals.

Так говорит Господь: за три преступления Израиля и за четыре не пощажу его, потому что продают правого за серебро и бедного — за пару сандалий.

They trample helpless people in the dust and shove the oppressed out of the way. Both father and son sleep with the same woman, corrupting my holy name.

Жаждут, чтобы прах земной был на голове бедных, и путь кротких извращают; даже отец и сын ходят к одной женщине, чтобы бесславить святое имя Мое.

At their religious festivals, they lounge in clothing their debtors put up as security. In the house of their gods,b they drink wine bought with unjust fines.

На одеждах, взятых в залог, возлежат при всяком жертвеннике, и вино, [взыскиваемое] с обвиненных, пьют в доме богов своих.

“But as my people watched, I destroyed the Amorites, though they were as tall as cedars and as strong as oaks. I destroyed the fruit on their branches and dug out their roots.

А Я истребил перед лицем их Аморрея, которого высота была как высота кедра и который был крепок как дуб; Я истребил плод его вверху и корни его внизу.

It was I who rescued you from Egypt and led you through the desert for forty years, so you could possess the land of the Amorites.

Вас же Я вывел из земли Египетской и водил вас в пустыне сорок лет, чтобы вам наследовать землю Аморрейскую.

I chose some of your sons to be prophets and others to be Nazirites. Can you deny this, my people of Israel?” asks the LORD.

Из сыновей ваших Я избирал в пророки и из юношей ваших — в назореи; не так ли это, сыны Израиля? говорит Господь.

“But you caused the Nazirites to sin by making them drink wine, and you commanded the prophets, ‘Shut up!’

А вы назореев поили вином и пророкам приказывали, говоря: «не пророчествуйте».

“So I will make you groan like a wagon loaded down with sheaves of grain.

Вот, Я придавлю вас, как давит колесница, нагруженная снопами, —

Your fastest runners will not get away. The strongest among you will become weak. Even mighty warriors will be unable to save themselves.

и у проворного не станет силы бежать, и крепкий не удержит крепости своей, и храбрый не спасет своей жизни,

The archers will not stand their ground. The swiftest runners won’t be fast enough to escape. Even those riding horses won’t be able to save themselves.

ни стреляющий из лука не устоит, ни скороход не убежит, ни сидящий на коне не спасет своей жизни.

On that day the most courageous of your fighting men will drop their weapons and run for their lives,” says the LORD.

И самый отважный из храбрых убежит нагой в тот день, говорит Господь.
