Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Savior, and of Christ Jesus, who is our hope,

Павел, Апостал Іісуса Хрыста па наказу Бога, Спасіцеля нашага, і Госпада Іісуса Хрыста, надзеі нашай,

To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Цімафею, сапраўднаму сыну ў веры: благадаць, міласць, мір ад Бога, Айца нашага, і Хрыста Іісуса, Госпада нашага.

As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines,

Адпраўля́ючыся ў Македонію, я папрасіў цябе застацца ў Эфесе, і наказваць некаторым, каб яны не вучылі нічому іншаму

nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith.

ды не займаліся байкамі і радаслоўямі бясконцымі, якія служаць больш узнікненню спрэчак, чым Божай задумеспасенняпраз веру.

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion,

адступіўшы ад чаго, некаторыя ўхіліліся ў пустаслоўе,

wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.

жадаючы быць законавучы́целямі, але не разумеючы ні таго, пра што гавораць, ні таго, што сцвярджаюць.

But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully,

А мы ведаем, што закон добры, калі хто законна ім карыстаецца,

realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers

ведаючы, што закон устаноўлены недля праведніка, а для беззаконных і непакорлівых, бязбожных і грэшных, нячыстых і паганых, для забойцаў бацькі і маці, для душагу́баў,

and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,

для блуднікоў, мужаложцаў,гандляроў людзьмі, паклёпнікаў, скаталожцаў, лгуноў, клятвапаруша́льнікаў і ў адносінах да ўсяго іншага, што супрацьстаíць здароваму вучэнню,

according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

паводле даве́ранага мне дабраве́сця славыблажэннага Бога.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service,

Я дзя́кую Таму, Хто даў мне сілу, Хрысту Іісусу, Госпаду нашаму, што Ён прызнаў мяне верным, паставіўшы на служэнне,

even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief;

мяне, які раней быў богазневажа́льнікам і ганіцелем і крыўдзіцелем, але быў памíлаваны, таму штоз-за няведання рабіў я так, у няве́р’і;

and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.

благадаць жа Госпада нашага Іісуса Хрыста шчодра праявíлася ўва мне з вераю і любоўю ў Хрысце Іісусе.

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.

Вартае даверу і заслугоўваепоўнага прызна́ння слова, што Хрыстос Іісус прыйшоў у свет спасці грэшнікаў, з якіх першы — я.

Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

Але для таго я быў памíлаваны, каб на мне першым Іісус Хрыстос паказаў усю доўгацярплівасць, у прыклад тым, якія будуць вераваць у Яго дзеля жыцця вечнага.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

А Цару вякоў нятле́ннаму, нябачнаму, адзінаму прамудраму Богу — пашана і слава на векі вякоў. Амінь.

This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight,

Даю табе, сыне Цімафею, згодна з ранейшымі пра цябе прароцтвамі, такі наказ, каб ты змагаўся адпаведна ім як добры воін,

keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith.

маючы веру і добрае сумленне, адкінуўшы якое, некаторыя пацярпелі крушэнне веры;

Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught not to blaspheme.

сярод іх Імяней і Аляксандр, якіх я аддаў сатане, каб яны адвучы́ліся блюзне́рыць.
