Again a message came to me from the LORD:

Было ко мне слово Господне:

“Son of man, turn and face the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.

— Сын человеческий! Повернись лицом к горам Израильским и изреки против них пророчество!

Proclaim this message from the Sovereign LORD against the mountains of Israel. This is what the Sovereign LORD says to the mountains and hills and to the ravines and valleys: I am about to bring war upon you, and I will smash your pagan shrines.

Скажи им так: горы Израильские, выслушайте прорицание Владыки Господа. Так говорит Владыка Господь горам и холмам, долинам и равнинам: наведу Я на вас меч, разрушу святилища ваши!

All your altars will be demolished, and your places of worship will be destroyed. I will kill your people in front of your idols.a

Заброшены будут ваши алтари, повержены ваши курильницы, прямо перед вашими идолами лягут трупы.

I will lay your corpses in front of your idols and scatter your bones around your altars.

Трупы израильтян прямо перед их идолами лягут, вокруг алтарей ваших рассыплю кости!

Wherever you live there will be desolation, and I will destroy your pagan shrines. Your altars will be demolished, your idols will be smashed, your places of worship will be torn down, and all the religious objects you have made will be destroyed.

Где бы ни жили вы, города опустеют, никого не останется и в святилищах опустошенных: алтари заброшены и разрушены, идолы сокрушены и повержены, курильницы сломаны, труды ваши погублены,

The place will be littered with corpses, and you will know that I alone am the LORD.

а среди вас будут падать убитые — тогда будете знать, что Я Господь!

“But I will let a few of my people escape destruction, and they will be scattered among the nations of the world.

Но сберегу остаток — тех из вас, кто избежит меча, когда рассеетесь по разным странам и народам.

Then when they are exiled among the nations, they will remember me. They will recognize how hurt I am by their unfaithful hearts and lustful eyes that long for their idols. Then at last they will hate themselves for all their detestable sins.

Вспомнят обо Мне те, кто уцелел среди язычников, куда их уведут. Я сокрушу их блудное сердце, что оставило Меня, и блудные глаза, что засматривались на идолов, и станут они сами себе противны из-за зла, что творили, и всех своих мерзостей.

They will know that I alone am the LORD and that I was serious when I said I would bring this calamity on them.

И будут знать, что Я, Господь, не зря предупреждал их о грядущем бедствии!

“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Clap your hands in horror, and stamp your feet. Cry out because of all the detestable sins the people of Israel have committed. Now they are going to die from war and famine and disease.

Велит Владыка Господь хлопнуть в ладони, топнуть ногой и сказать: «Горе дому Израилеву за все мерзкие его злодеяния — меч, голод и мор его погубят!»

Disease will strike down those who are far away in exile. War will destroy those who are nearby. And anyone who survives will be killed by famine. So at last I will spend my fury on them.

Мор свалит того, кто вдали, а меч — того, кто вблизи; а кто выживет, кто уцелеет — того погубит голод. Так постигнет вас Моя ярость!

They will know that I am the LORD when their dead lie scattered among their idols and altars on every hill and mountain and under every green tree and every great shade tree — the places where they offered sacrifices to their idols.

И будете знать, что Я — Господь, когда трупы будут у вас лежать между идолами и вокруг алтарей, что у вас на всяком высоком холме, на всякой горной вершине, под всяким тенистым деревом, ветвистым дубом — где бы ни курили благовоний своим идолам.

I will crush them and make their cities desolate from the wilderness in the south to Riblahb in the north. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

Занесу над ними руку, дочиста опустошу их землю от пустыни и до Дивлы, где бы они ни жили, и будут тогда знать, что Я — Господь!
