Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christa has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.

Кто верит, что Иисус — это Христос, тот Божье дитя. Кто любит Родителя — любит и Его Сына.

We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments.

Мы только тогда знаем, что любим чад Божьих, когда любим Бога и соблюдаем Его заповеди.

Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome.

Любить Бога — значит жить по Его заповедям. И заповеди Его — не бремя невыносимое.

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

Божье дитя побеждает мир. Победа в этом мире за нашей победительной верой.

And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

Да и кто побеждает мир, как не тот, кто верит, что Иисус — Сын Божий!

And Jesus Christ was revealed as God’s Son by his baptism in water and by shedding his blood on the crossb — not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit, who is truth, confirms it with his testimony.

Это Он, Иисус Христос, пришел водой и кровью. Не просто водой, а водой и кровью. Этому есть свидетель — Дух. А Дух — это истина.

So we have these three witnessesc —

Свидетельствуют трое:

the Spirit, the water, and the blood — and all three agree.

Дух, вода и кровь. И все трое — о том же.

Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son.

Мы принимаем свидетельство человека, а в свидетельстве Бога куда больше веса, ведь это свидетельство Бога: Бог свидетельствует о Своем Сыне.

All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.

У того, кто верит в Сына Божьего, свидетельство — в нем самом. Кто Богу не верит, тот выставляет Его лжецом, потому что отвергает Свидетеля, когда о Своем Сыне свидетельствует Сам Бог.

And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Вот это свидетельство: Бог даровал нам вечную жизнь, и эта жизнь — в Его Сыне.

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.

Кто с Сыном — у того есть жизнь. Кто не с Сыном Божьим — у того нет жизни.

I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.

Вам, верующим в Сына Божьего, пишу это, чтобы вы знали, что у вас есть вечная жизнь.

And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.

И мы не зря бесстрашны перед Ним: когда просим в согласии с Его волей, Он слушает, о чем просим.

And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

А если мы знаем, что Он нашей просьбе, о чем бы мы ни просили, внемлет, то знаем и то, что просимое, если просим у Него, уже берем.

If you see a fellow believerd sinning in a way that does not lead to death, you should pray, and God will give that person life. But there is a sin that leads to death, and I am not saying you should pray for those who commit it.

Если в деяниях брата нет греха к смерти, увидишь это — молись, и Бог даст ему жизнь, как другим, кто не делает греха к смерти. А есть грех к смерти. Но не о таком грехе говорю молись.

All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death.

Всякая неправда — грех, но есть грех не к смерти.

We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them.

Мы знаем, что Божье дитя не грешит: Сын Божий ограждает его, и Окаянному его не достать.

We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.

Мы знаем, что мы — Божьи и что весь мир — в руках Окаянного.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God.e And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.

Но мы знаем и то, что Сын Божий пришел и наставил нас на путь, чтобы мы знали Истинного. Мы — в Истинном, в Его Сыне Иисусе Христе. Он — истинный Бог и вечная жизнь.

Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.f

Чада мои! Чурайтесь идолов.
