Второе послание к Коринфянам святого апостола Павла

Впрочем, ни к чему мне писать вам о служении святому Божьему народу,

For concerning the ministration which [is] for the saints, it is superfluous my writing to you.

я же знаю ваше усердие. Потому я и хвалил вас перед македонскими общинами: мол, Ахайя была готова еще в прошлом году, — так что ваше рвение передалось многим.

For I know your readiness, which I boast of as respects you to Macedonians, that Achaia is prepared since a year ago, and the zeal [reported] of you has stimulated the mass [of the brethren].

Итак, я послал этих братьев, и пусть на деле не выйдет так, что мы вас хвалили зря. Как я говорил, вам надо приготовиться,

But I have sent the brethren, in order that our boasting about you may not be made void in this respect, in order that, as I have said, ye may be prepared;

а не то, когда к вам вместе со мной придут македоняне, они застанут вас не готовыми, и будет нам стыдно за былую уверенность, не говоря уже о вас.

lest haply, if Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we, that we say not ye, may be put to shame in this confidence.

Потому я счел необходимым призвать братьев отправиться к вам заранее и всё устроить, чтобы пожертвования были уже приготовлены, как обещано, и именно как дары, а не как поборы.

I thought it necessary therefore to beg the brethren that they would come to you, and complete beforehand your fore-announced blessing, that this may be ready thus as blessing, and not as got out of you.

Кто сеет скупо, пожнет скупой урожай, а кто сеет с благословенной щедростью, у того урожай будет благословенным.

But this [is true], he that sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he that sows in [the spirit of] blessing shall reap also in blessing:

Словом, каждый пусть дает по велению сердца, без печали и не по принуждению, ибо «кто дает с радостью, того любит Бог».

each according as he is purposed in his heart; not grievingly, or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Бог властен даровать вам всякую благодать в изобилии, чтобы везде и всегда вы имели в изобилии всё, что потребуется для всякого доброго дела.

But God is able to make every gracious gift abound towards you, that, having in every way always all-sufficiency, ye may abound to every good work:

Как написано: «он всё растратил, раздал нищим, и праведность его пребывает вовек».

according as it is written, He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor, his righteousness remains for ever.

Бог подает «семя сеятелю и хлеб в пищу», и вам подаст, что сеять, и произрастит, как колос, вашу праведность —

Now he that supplies seed to the sower and bread for eating shall supply and make abundant your sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:

всем вы будете богаты, во всем щедры, и за вас люди будут благодарить Бога.

enriched in every way unto all free-hearted liberality, which works through us thanksgiving to God.

Ваше участие в этом служении общему делу не только поможет нуждающимся святым общинам, но и умножит благодарность Богу от многих людей.

Because the ministration of this service is not only filling up the measure of what is lacking to the saints, but also abounding by many thanksgivings to God;

Люди прославят Бога, когда это служение покажет, как послушны вы Евангелию Христову: вы на деле следуете тому, во что верите, когда щедро делитесь с ними и с остальными.

they glorifying God through the proof of this ministration, by reason of your subjection, by profession, to the glad tidings of the Christ, and your free-hearted liberality in communicating towards them and towards all;

О вас станут они молиться, к вам их привлечет обильно проявившаяся в вашей жизни Божья благодать.

and in their supplication for you, full of ardent desire for you, on account of the exceeding grace of God [which is] upon you.

Благодарение Богу за Его неописуемый дар!

Thanks [be] to God for his unspeakable free gift.
