This is the vision that the Sovereign LORD revealed to Obadiah concerning the land of Edom.

Відзень Аўдава. Гэтак кажа Спадар Едому: дзейкі мы чулі ад СПАДАРА, і пасол меж народаў пасланы: «Устаньце й станьма на бітву зь ім!

The LORD says to Edom, “I will cut you down to size among the nations; you will be greatly despised.

Вось, малым даў цябе меж народаў, цябе вельма ўлегцы замелі.

You have been deceived by your own pride because you live in a rock fortress and make your home high in the mountains. ‘Who can ever reach us way up here?’ you ask boastfully.

Гордасьць сэрца твайго зьвяла цябе, о жывучы ў раськепінах скалы, што на вышыні гаспода ягоная, што кажа ў сэрцу сваім: "Хто зьвядзець мяне на зямлю?"

But even if you soar as high as eagles and build your nest among the stars, I will bring you crashing down,” says the LORD.

Калі ўзвышшыся, як арол, і калі меж гвездаў заўеш сабе гняздо, стуль Я зьвяду цябе», — агалашае СПАДАР.

“If thieves came at night and robbed you (what a disaster awaits you!), they would not take everything. Those who harvest grapes always leave a few for the poor. But your enemies will wipe you out completely!

«Калі б злодзеі прышлі да цябе, калі б ночныя глабаньнікі, дык як быў бы ты загублены? Ці ня ўкралі б яны, колькі ім даволі? Калі б абіраньнікі віна прышлі да цябе, то ці не пакінулі б яны недабіркі?

Every nook and cranny of Edoma will be searched and looted. Every treasure will be found and taken.

Як мы вышукалі Ісава, і як раскрыліся схаваныя ягоныя!

“All your allies will turn against you. They will help to chase you from your land. They will promise you peace while plotting to deceive and destroy you. Your trusted friends will set traps for you, and you won’t even know about it.

Аж да граніцы прагналі цябе ўсі мужы змовы твае, ашукалі цябе, перамаглі цябе, каторыя былі ў міру з табою; тыя, што елі хлеб твой, расьцягнулі сеці пад табою, няма цямлівасьці ў яго.

At that time not a single wise person will be left in the whole land of Edom,” says the LORD. “For on the mountains of Edom I will destroy everyone who has understanding.

Ці ня будзе таго дня, — агалашае СПАДАР, што Я загублю мудрых ізь Едому і цямлівасьць ад гары Ісавовае?

The mightiest warriors of Teman will be terrified, and everyone on the mountains of Edom will be cut down in the slaughter. Reasons for Edom’s Punishment

І зьлякаюцца дужасілы твае, Фемане, каб была адцята людзіна ад гары Ісавовае ўбіўствам.

“Because of the violence you did to your close relatives in Israel,b you will be filled with shame and destroyed forever.

За ўсілства тваё да брата твайго Якава пакрые цябе сорам, і ты будзеш адцяты на векі.

When they were invaded, you stood aloof, refusing to help them. Foreign invaders carried off their wealth and cast lots to divide up Jerusalem, but you acted like one of Israel’s enemies.

Таго дня, як ты стаяў насупроці, дня, як чужаземцы забралі ў палон маемасьць ягоную, і чужыя ўвыйшлі брамамі ягонымі і на Ерузалім кідалі на жэрабя, то й ты быў як адзін ізь іх.

“You should not have gloated when they exiled your relatives to distant lands. You should not have rejoiced when the people of Judah suffered such misfortune. You should not have spoken arrogantly in that terrible time of trouble.

І ты ня бачыў у дзень брата свайго, у дзень, калі ён стаў чужым; і ты ня меў цешыцца із сыноў Юдзіных у дзень загубы іх, ты ня меў павялічыць роту свайго ў дзень бяды.

You should not have plundered the land of Israel when they were suffering such calamity. You should not have gloated over their destruction when they were suffering such calamity. You should not have seized their wealth when they were suffering such calamity.

Ты ня меў увыйсьці ў брамы люду Майго ў дзень няшчасьця іхнага, ня меў і ты глядзець на ліха ягонае ў дзень няшчасьця ягонага, ты ня меў выцягнуць рукі свае па маемасьць ягоную ў дзень няшчасьця ягонага;

You should not have stood at the crossroads, killing those who tried to escape. You should not have captured the survivors and handed them over in their terrible time of trouble. Edom Destroyed, Israel Restored

Ты ня меў стаяць на ростанях, каб заскочыць дарогу ўцекачом ягоным, Ты ня меў перадаваць засталых ягоных у дзень бяды;

“The day is near when I, the LORD, will judge all godless nations! As you have done to Israel, so it will be done to you. All your evil deeds will fall back on your own heads.

Бо блізкі дзень СПАДАРОЎ на ўсі народы: як ты зрабіў, будзе зроблена табе, адплата зьвернецца на галаву тваю;

Just as you swallowed up my people on my holy mountain, so you and the surrounding nations will swallow the punishment I pour out on you. Yes, all you nations will drink and stagger and disappear from history.

Бо як вы п’янчыліся на сьвятой гары Маёй, так будуць заўсёды п’янчыцца ўсі народы і будуць піць а глытаць; і яны будуць, бы ня былі.

“But Jerusalemc will become a refuge for those who escape; it will be a holy place. And the people of Israeld will come back to reclaim their inheritance.

А на гары Сыёне будзе прытулішча, і будзе сьвятая; і дом Якаваў адзяржыць спадак свой.

The people of Israel will be a raging fire, and Edom a field of dry stubble. The descendants of Joseph will be a flame roaring across the field, devouring everything. There will be no survivors in Edom. I, the LORD, have spoken!

І будзе дом Якаваў цяплом і дом Язэпаў — поламям, а дом Ісавоў — умецьцям: і запаляць іх, і пажаруць іх, і ня будзе астачы дому Ісавоваму», — бо СПАДАР кажа.

“Then my people living in the Negev will occupy the mountains of Edom. Those living in the foothills of Judahe will possess the Philistine plains and take over the fields of Ephraim and Samaria. And the people of Benjamin will occupy the land of Gilead.

І спадзець паўднявым гара Ісавова, а даліне — Пілішчане; і спадзець поле Яхрэмскае й поле Самарскае, а Веняміну — Ґілеад.

The exiles of Israel will return to their land and occupy the Phoenician coast as far north as Zarephath. The captives from Jerusalem exiled in the northf will return home and resettle the towns of the Negev.

І палону войска гэтага сыноў Ізраелявых спадуць Канааняне аж да Сарэфату, і палону Ерузаліму, што ў Сэфарадзе, спадуць месты паўднявыя.

Those who have been rescuedg will go up toh Mount Zion in Jerusalem to rule over the mountains of Edom. And the LORD himself will be king!”

І ўзыйдуць ратаваньнікі на гару Сыён, каб судзіць гару Ісавову, і будзе СПАДАРУ каралеўства.
