Манассии было двенадцать лет, когда он стал царём. Он правил пятьдесят пять лет в Иерусалиме. Мать его звали Хефциба.

Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hephzibah.

Он делал то, что Господь считал злом. Он делал мерзости, какие делали народы, которых Господь прогнал из их страны, когда пришли израильтяне.

And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.

Манассия снова построил высоты, которые уничтожил его отец Езекия. Он также поставил алтари для Ваала и столб Ашеры, как сделал Ахав, царь Израильский. Манассия поклонялся и служил всем светилам небесным.

For he rebuilt the [a]high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; he raised up altars for Baal, and made a [b]wooden image, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshiped all [c]the host of heaven and served them.

Манассия построил алтари в храме Господа, о котором Господь говорил: "Я помещу имя Моё в Иерусалиме".

He also built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem I will put My name.”

Манассия построил алтари всем светилам небесным в обоих дворах храма Господа.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.

Манассия принёс в жертву своего сына, и сжёг его на алтаре. Он использовал разные пути, чтобы узнать будущее. Он ходил к колдунам, и к людям, которые вызывали духи умерших. Манассия сделал много такого, что Господь считал злом, и это разгневало Господа.

Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

Манассия сделал резную статую Ашеры и поставил эту статую в храме. Господь говорил об этом храме Давиду, и сыну Давида, Соломону: "Я выбрал Иерусалим из всех городов Израиля. Я помещу Моё имя в храме в Иерусалиме навсегда.

He even set a carved image of [d]Asherah that he had made, in the [e]house of which the Lord had said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever;

Я не сделаю так, чтобы народ Израиля оставил землю, которую Я дал их предкам. Я позволю людям остаться в их земле, если они будут подчиняться всем Моим повелениям, и всем учениям, которые дал им Мой слуга Моисей".

and I will not make the feet of Israel wander anymore from the land which I gave their fathers — only if they are careful to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.”

Но люди не послушались Бога. Манассия делал больше зла, чем все народы, которые жили до того, как пришли израильтяне. Господь истребил эти народы, когда народ Израиля пришёл взять их землю.

But they paid no attention, and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.

Господь говорил через Своих слуг, пророков, и сказал:

And the Lord spoke by His servants the prophets, saying,

"Манассия, царь Иудейский, творил мерзости и сделал больше зла, чем делали до него аморреи; Манассия также ввел в грех Иудею своими идолами".

“Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations (he has acted more wickedly than all the Amorites who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols),

И сказал Господь, Бог Израиля: "Так как Манассия совершил всё это зло, Я пошлю на Израиль и на Иудею столько бед, что любой, кто услышит об этом, ужаснётся.

therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.

Я протяну на Иерусалим мерную линию Самарии и отвес семьи Ахава. Я вытру Иерусалим, как вытирают посуду, — вытрут, а затем перевернут её. Я сделаю то же самое с Иерусалимом.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab; I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

Там всё ещё останутся Мои люди. Но Я оставлю этих людей. Я отдам их врагам, и враги возьмут их в плен. Они будут как ценные вещи, добытые солдатами в войне.

So I will forsake the remnant of My inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become victims of plunder to all their enemies,

Я сделаю это, ибо Мои люди делали то, что Я считал злом. Они гневили Меня с того дня, как их предки вышли из Египта, и до сих пор.

because they have done evil in My sight, and have provoked Me to anger since the day their fathers came out of Egypt, even to this day.’ ”

Манассия убил много невинных людей. Он наполнил Иерусалим кровью от края до края. И все эти грехи были сверх грехов, которые ввели Иудею в грех. Из-за Манассии Иудея делала то, что Господь считал злом".

Moreover Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides his sin by which he made Judah sin, in doing evil in the sight of the Lord.

Остальные дела, которые совершил Манассия, включая грехи, которые он совершил, описаны в летописи царей Иудейских.

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh — all that he did, and the sin that he committed — are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Манассия умер, и был похоронен в саду своего дома. Сад назывался садом Уззы. Аммон, сын Манассии, стал новым царём после него.

So Manasseh [f]rested with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza. Then his son Amon reigned in his place.

Аммону было двадцать два года, когда он стал царём. Он правил в Иерусалиме два года. Его мать звали Мешуллемеф, дочь Харуца, из Ятбы.

Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.

Аммон, как и его отец Манассия, делал то, что Господь считал злом.

And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh had done.

Он жил точно так, как его отец. Аммон поклонялся и служил тем же идолам, что и его отец.

So he walked in all the ways that his father had walked; and he served the idols that his father had served, and worshiped them.

Он оставил Господа, Бога своих предков, и не жил так, как хотел Господь.

He forsook the Lord God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the Lord.

Слуги Аммона составили против него заговор, и убили его в его собственном доме.

Then the servants of Amon conspired against him, and killed the king in his own house.

Простой народ убил командиров, которые составили заговор против царя Аммона. Затем люди сделали Иосию, сына Аммона, новым царём после него.

But the people of the land executed all those who had conspired against King Amon. Then the people of the land made his son Josiah king in his place.

Остальное, что сделал Аммон, описано в летописи царей Иудейских.

Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Аммон был похоронен в могиле в саду Уззы. Новым царём стал Иосия, сын Аммона.

And he was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza. Then Josiah his son reigned in his place.
