Пятый ангел протрубил в бараний рог; и я увидел звезду, упавшую с небес на землю, и дан был ей ключ от подземной полости, ведущей в Бездну.

Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the [a]bottomless pit.

Она открыла полость Бездны, и дым поднялся из полости, словно дым из огромной печи; и померкло солнце и небо от дыма из полости.

And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.

Затем из дыма на землю вышла саранча, и ей была дана власть, подобная той, которую имеют на земле скорпионы.

Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

Ей было сказано, чтобы она не наносила вред траве земной, всякому зелёному растению или дереву, но только людям, не имевшим печати Бога на своих лбах.

They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

Саранче не было позволено убивать их, а только причинять им боль пять месяцев; и боль, которую они причиняли, была подобна боли от жала скорпиона.

And [b]they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

В те дни люди будут искать смерти, но не найдут её; они захотят умереть, но смерть ускользнёт от них.

In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

Саранча же напоминала своим видом коней, приготовленных к сражению. На голове у неё было нечто, напоминающее золотую корону, а лицо было подобно человеческому,

The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.

волосы её напоминали волосы женщины, а зубы у неё были, как у льва.

They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.

Грудь её была словно броня, а крылья издавали звук, подобный грохоту множества коней и колесниц, спешащих на битву.

And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle.

Хвост её был похож на хвост скорпиона, с жалом на конце, и в хвосте её была власть причинять людям вред в течение пяти месяцев.

They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months.

Ангел Бездны был царём над ней, имя которого по-еврейски — "Абадон", а на нашем языке — "Губитель".

And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is [c]Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name [d]Apollyon.

Первое горе прошло, но впереди были ещё два.

One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.

Шестой ангел протрубил в бараний рог; и услышал я голос от четырёх рогов золотого жертвенника, стоящего перед Богом,

Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

говоривший шестому ангелу, державшему бараний рог: "Освободи четырёх ангелов, связанных у великой реки Евфрат!"

saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.”

И они были освобождены. Этих четырёх ангелов стерегли и готовили для этого момента, для этого дня и месяца и года, чтобы они убили третью часть человечества;

So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.

и число конного войска составляло двести миллионов! — я услышал число.

Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.

И вот как выглядели эти кони в видении: всадники были в броне, огненно-красной, ирисно-голубой, зеленовато-жёлтой; головы коней были словно львиные; а рты их извергали огонь, дым и серу.

And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.

От этих язв — огня, дыма и серы, которые извергали их рты, — погибла треть всего человечества.

By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed — by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths.

Ибо сила коней заключалась в их ртах, а также в их хвостах, так как хвосты их были словно змеи, и имели головы, и ими они могли наносить увечья.

For [e]their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm.

Оставшиеся же из людей, те, кто не погибли от этих язв, даже тогда не отвернулись от дел рук своих — они не перестали поклоняться бесам и идолам, сделанным из золота, серебра, бронзы, камня и дерева, которые не могут ни видеть, ни слышать, ни говорить.

But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.

Не оставили они и убийства, оккультную практику с применением наркотиков, распутство и воровство.

And they did not repent of their murders or their [f]sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
