In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

На пачатку стварыў Бог нябёсы й зямлю.

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

А зямля была бяз хормы а пустая, і цемнь была над бяздоньням; і Дух Божы лунаў над відам водаў.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

І сказаў Бог: «Станься сьвятліня». І сталася сьвятліня.

And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.

І бачыў Бог тую сьвятліню, што добрая, і адлучыў Бог тую сьвятліню ад тае цемні.

God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

І назваў Бог сьвятліню днём, а цемнь назваў ночай. І быў вечар, і была раніца: дзень адзін.

And God said, “Let there be an expansea in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”

І сказаў Бог: «Станься прасьцяг сярод водаў і дзялі воды ад водаў».

And God madeb the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.

І ўчыніў Бог прасьцяг, і адлучыў воды, што пад прасьцягам, ад водаў, што над прасьцягам. І сталася так.

And God called the expanse Heaven.c And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

І назваў Бог прасьцяг нябёсамі. І быў вечар, і была раніца: дзень другі.

And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so.

І сказаў Бог: «Няхай зьбяруцца воды з пад нябёсаў у вадно месца, і няхай зьявіцца сухазем». І сталася так.

God called the dry land Earth,d and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

І назваў Бог сухазем зямлёю, а збор водаў назваў морамі. І бачыў Бог, што добра.

And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plantse yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so.

І сказаў Бог: «Няхай выдасьць зямля траву, зяленіва сеючае семя, пладовае дзерва, што даець плод подле роду свайго, у каторым семя ягонае ў ім на зямлі». І сталася так.

The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

І выдала зямля траву, зяленіва, семя сеючае подле роду свайго, і дзерва, што даець плод, у каторым семя яго подле роду яго. І бачыў Бог, што добра.

And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

І быў вечар, і была раніца: дзень трэйці.

And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons,f and for days and years,

І сказаў Бог: «Станьцеся сьветлы на прасьцязе нябёс, дзеля адрозьненьня дня ад ночы, і будуць на знакі а на поры а на дні а на гады.

and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.

І будуць яны сьветламі на прасьцязе нябёс сьвяціць на зямлі». І сталася так.

And God made the two great lights — the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night — and the stars.

І ўчыніў Бог тыя два сьветлы вялікія: сьветла вялікае, радзіць дзень, і сьветла малое, радзіць ноч, і гвезды.

And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,

І пастанавіў іх Бог на прасьцязе нябёс, сьвяціць на зямлю,

to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

І радзіць дзень і ноч, і адлучаць сьвятліню ад цемні. І бачыў Бог, што добра.

And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

І быў вечар, і была раніца: дзень чацьверты.

And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birdsg fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.”

І сказаў Бог: «Няхай выдадуць воды паўзуны, істу дыхаючую; і птуства няхай лётае над зямлёю скрозь прасьцяг нябёс».

So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

І стварыў Бог дзіўствы вялікія і ўсялякую поўзаючую істу дыхаючую, каторыя выдалі воды, подле роду іх, і ўсялякае птуства крылатае подле роду ягонага. І бачыў Бог, што добра.

And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”

І дабраславіў іх Бог, кажучы: «Пладзіцеся а множчася а напаўняйце воды ў морах, і птуства няхай множыцца на зямлі».

And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

І быў вечар, і была раніца: дзень пяты.

And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds — livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so.

І сказаў Бог: «Няхай выдасьць зямля дыхаючую істу подле роду ейнага, статак а паўзуны а жывёлу земную подле роду ейнага». І сталася так.

And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

І ўчыніў Бог жывёлу земную подле роду ейнага, і статак подле роду ягонага, і ўсякага паўзуна зямлі подле роду ягонага. І бачыў Бог, што добра.

Then God said, “Let us make manh in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

І сказаў Бог: «Учыніма чалавека на абраз наш, подле падобнасьці нашае; і няхай пануе над рыбаю морскай, і птушкаю нябёснай, і статкам, і ўсёй зямлёю, і ўсякім паўзуном, што поўзае па зямлі».

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

І стварыў Бог чалавека на абраз Свой, на абраз Божы стварыў яго; мужчыну й жонку стварыў іх.

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

І дабраславіў іх Бог, і сказаў ім: «Пладзіцеся а множчася а напаўняйце зямлю, і паддайце яе сабе, і пануйце над рыбаю морскай, і птушкаю нябёснай, і ўсялякім жывучым, што поўзае па зямлі».

And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

І сказаў Бог: «Вось, Я даў вам усялякую траву, што выдаець ізь сябе насеньне, якая ё на відзе ўсяе зямлі, і ўсялякае дзерва, у каторым ё плод дзерва, што сее насеньне; гэта будзе вам на емя.

And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.

А ўсёй жывёле земнай, і ўсёй птушцы нябёснай, і ўсяму, што поўзае па зямлі, у каторым дыханьне жывое, даў Я ўсе зяленіва траўнае на жыр». І сталася так.

And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

І бачыў Бог усе, што ўчыніў, і вось, добра вельмі ё. І быў вечар, і была раніца: дзень шосты.
