Paul, Silasa and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you.

Паўла, і Сіліван, і Цімафей Тэсалонскай царкве ў Богу Айцу і Госпадзе Ісусе Хрысце: ласка вам і супакой ад Бога Айца нашага, і Госпада Ісуса Хрыста.

We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers.

Дзякуем Богу заўсёды за вас усіх, успамінаючы пра вас безупынна ў малітвах нашых,

We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

памятаючы дзейнасць веры вашай, працу любові і трываласць надзеі ў Госпадзе нашым Ісусе Хрысце перад Богам і Айцом нашым,

For we know, brothers and sistersb loved by God, that he has chosen you,

ведаючы, улюбёныя Богам браты, выбранне ваша,

because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.

бо дабравешчанне наша не было да вас толькі ў словах, але ў сіле і ў Духу Святым ды ў шматлікіх сведчаннях, бо ж самі ведаеце, якімі мы былі ў вас для вас.

You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.

І вы сталіся паслядоўнікамі нашымі і Госпада, прыняўшы слова ў горы вялікім з радасцю Духа Святога,

And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

і так вы сталіся ўзорам усім верным у Мацэдоніі і Ахаі.

The Lord’s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia — your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it,

Бо ад вас разышлося слова Божае не толькі ў Мацэдоніі і Ахаі, але ва ўсякае месца дайшла вера ваша ў Бога, так што нам няма патрэбы гаварыць пра гэта.

for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

Бо самі людзі абвяшчаюць пра нас, якое прыняцце мелі мы ў вас ды як вы навярнуліся да Бога ад ідалаў, каб служыць Богу жывому і праўдзіваму

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead — Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

і чакаць Сына Яго з неба, Якога Ён уваскрасіў з мёртвых, Ісуса, Які ратуе нас ад будучага гневу.
