Peter, apostle of Jesus Christ, to [the] sojourners of [the] dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

Пётра, Апостал Ісуса Хрыста, — выбраным захаджэнцам, расьцярушаным у Поньце, Галятыі, Каппадокіі, Азіі й Вітыніі,

elect according to [the] foreknowledge of God [the] Father, by sanctification of [the] Spirit, unto [the] obedience and sprinkling of [the] blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

згодна з прадве́даньнем Бога Айца, праз асьвячэньне ад Духа, дзеля паслухмянасьці й акрапле́ньня крывёю Ісуса Хрыста: няхай памножыцца вам ласка і мір!

Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ from among [the] dead,

Багаслаўлены Бог і Аце́ц Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста, Які праз вялікую ласку Сваю адрадзіў нас ускрасе́ньнем Ісуса Хрыста з мёртвых дзеля жывое надзе́і,

to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance, reserved in [the] heavens for you,

дзеля спадчыны нятле́ннае, бяз сказы, што не завяне й захавана на нябёсах для вас,

who are kept guarded by [the] power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in [the] last time.

сілаю Божаю праз ве́ру аховываных дзеля выбаўле́ньня, што гатова адкрыцца ў астатні час!

Wherein ye exult, for a little while at present, if needed, put to grief by various trials,

З гэтага це́шцеся, крыху цяпер (калі трэба) ад розных спакусаў патужыўшы,

that the proving of your faith, much more precious than of gold which perishes, though it be proved by fire, be found to praise and glory and honour in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ:

каб выпрабаваная ве́ра вашая, шмат каштаўне́йшая за гібнучае, хоць і агнём прабаванае золата, аказалася на хвалу і чэсьць і славу ў адкрыцьці Ісуса Хрыста,

whom, having not seen, ye love; on whom [though] not now looking, but believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and filled with [the] glory,

Якога, ня бачыўшы, любіце і, хоць ня гле́дзячы на яго, але ве́ручы ў Яго, радуецеся радасьцю нявымоўнаю і найслаўне́йшаю,

receiving the end of your faith, [the] salvation of [your] souls.

дасягаючы нарэшце ве́раю вашаю збаўле́ньня душ.

Concerning which salvation prophets, who have prophesied of the grace towards you, sought out and searched out;

Гэтага то збаўле́ньня шукалі й дапытываліся прарокі, якія прадвяшчалі вызначаную вам ласку,

searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ which [was] in them pointed out, testifying before of the sufferings which [belonged] to Christ, and the glories after these.

даходзячы, на калі і ў які час паказваў у іх Дух Хрыстовы, прадвяшчаючы мукі Хрыстовыя і славу за імі.

To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves but to you they ministered those things, which have now been announced to you by those who have declared to you the glad tidings by [the] Holy Spirit, sent from heaven, which angels desire to look into.

Ім было адкрыта, што ня ім, а нам служыла абве́шчанае вам сягоньня тымі, якія нясьлі вам добрую ве́сьць праз Духа Сьвятога, пасланага з нябёсаў, у што навет Ангелы жадаюць пранікнуць.

Wherefore, having girded up the loins of your mind, [be] sober [and] hope with perfect stedfastness in the grace [which will be] brought to you at [the] revelation of Jesus Christ;

Дзеля гэтага, падперазаўшы паясьніцы розуму вашага, чувайце й да канца спадзявайцеся на ласку, што прыносіцца вам у адкрыцьці Ісуса Хрыста.

as children of obedience, not conformed to [your] former lusts in your ignorance;

Як послухмяныя дзе́ці, ня кіруйцеся ране́йшымі вашымі пажаданьнямі ў няве́даньні вашым;

but as he who has called you is holy, be ye also holy in all [your] conversation;

але, па прыкладу паклікаўшага вас сьвятога, і самі будзьце сьвятымі ў-ва ўсіх учынках.

because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy.

Бо напісана: будзьце сьвятыя, бо Я сьвяты (Лявіт 19:2).

And if ye invoke as Father him who, without regard of persons, judges according to the work of each, pass your time of sojourn in fear,

І калі называеце Айцом Таго, Хто судзіць кожнага паводле дзе́ла яго, ня ўзіраючыся на аблічча ягонае, дык са страхам праводзьце час бытаваньня вашага,

knowing that ye have been redeemed, not by corruptible [things, as] silver or gold, from your vain conversation handed down from [your] fathers,

ве́даючы, што не трухле́ючым серабром ці золатам адкуплены вы ад марнага жыцьця, данага вам ад айцоў,

but by precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, [the blood] of Christ,

але многацэннаю крывёю Хрыста, як чыстага агняці бяз сказы,

foreknown indeed before [the] foundation of [the] world, but who has been manifested at the end of times for your sakes,

празначанага яшчэ да стварэньня сьве́ту, але зьявіўшагася ў апошнія часы дзеля вас,

who by him do believe on God, who has raised him from among [the] dead and given him glory, that your faith and hope should be in God.

паве́рыўшых праз Яго ў Бога, Які ўскрасіў Яго з мёртвых і даў Яму славу, каб была ве́ра ваша й надзе́я на Бога.

Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another out of a pure heart fervently;

Паслухмянасьцяй праўдзе праз Духа ачысьціўшы душы вашыя дзеля некрывадушнае любві братняе, заўсёды любе́це адзін аднаго ад чыстага сэрца,

being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by [the] living and abiding word of God.

як адроджаныя ня з тле́ючага насеньня, але з нятле́ннага, праз слова Бога Жывога і прабываючага даве́ку.

Because all flesh [is] as grass, and all its glory as [the] flower of grass. The grass has withered and [its] flower has fallen;

Бо ўсякае це́ла, як трава, і ўсякая слава чалаве́чая, як цьве́т на траве́: засохла трава, і цьве́т яе́ апаў;

but the word of [the] Lord abides for eternity. But this is the word which in the glad tidings [is] preached to you.

але слова Госпадавае трывае даве́ку (Ісая 40:6−8). А гэта й ёсьць тое слова, якое вам абве́шчана.
