Паўла, раб Ісуса Хрыста, пакліканы Апостал, выбраны дзеля абвяшча́ньня Эвангельля Божага,

This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach his Good News.

(якое Бог напе́рад абяцаў праз прарокаў Сваіх, у сьвятых пісаньнях,)

God promised this Good News long ago through his prophets in the holy Scriptures.

аб Сыне Яго, (які це́лам радзіўся ад насе́ньня Давідавага па це́лу

The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line,

і адкрыўся, як Сын Божы, у сіле, духам сьвятасьці праз уваскрасе́ньне з мёртвых) аб Ісусе Хрысьце́, Госпадзе нашым,

and he was shown to bea the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.b He is Jesus Christ our Lord.

(праз Якога мы атрымалі ласку й апостальства, каб у імя Яго прыдбаць дзеля ве́ры ўсе́ народы,

Through Christ, God has given us the privilegec and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.

між якімі і вы, сягоньня Ісусам Хрыстом пакліканыя), —

And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.

усім, што ёсьць у Рыме, улюбленым Богам, пакліканым сьвятым: ласка вам і мір ад Бога Айца нашага і Госпада Ісуса Хрыста.

I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

Найпе́рш дзякую Богу майму праз Ісуса Хрыста за ўсіх вас, што ве́ра ваша абвяшчаецца па ўсім сьве́це;

Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in him is being talked about all over the world.

сьве́дка мне́ Бог, якому служу духам маім у дабраве́шчаньні Сына Яго, што ўсьцяж успамінаю аб вас,

God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, whom I serve with all my heartd by spreading the Good News about his Son.

заўсёды просячы ў малітвах маіх, каб калі-не́будзь давялося мне́ прыйсьці да вас паводле волі Божае.

One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you.

Бо я ве́льмі жадаю ўгле́дзіць вас, каб даць вам не́йкі падарунак духоўны дзеля ўмацаваньня вашага,

For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord.

ці то парадавацца з вамі супольнаю ве́раю вашаю і мае́ю.

When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.

Не хачу, браты, пакінуць вас у няве́даньні, што я часта думаў прыйсьці да вас (ды сустракаў перашкоды яжно па сягоньняшні дзе́нь), каб ме́ць не́йкі плод і ў вас, як і ў іншых народаў.

I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters,e that I planned many times to visit you, but I was prevented until now. I want to work among you and see spiritual fruit, just as I have seen among other Gentiles.

Я даўжнік і Грэкам, і барбарам, мудрым і неразумным;

For I have a great sense of obligation to people in both the civilized world and the rest of the world,f to the educated and uneducated alike.

дык, што да мяне́, я гатоў абвяшчаць Эвангельле і вам, каторыя ў Рыме.

So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach the Good News.

Бо ня стыдаюся Эвангельля Хрыстовага, бо сіла Божая ёсьць на збаўленьне кожнаму, хто ве́руе, сьпярша Жыду, а потым і Грэку.

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes — the Jew first and also the Gentile.g

Бо ў ім адкрываецца праўда Божая ад ве́ры да ве́ры, як напісана: праведны жыць будзе ве́раю (Авак 2:4).

This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”h

Бо адкрываецца гне́ў Божы з не́ба на ўсякую бязбожнасьць і няпраўду людзе́й, што маюць праўду ў няпраўдзе.

But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.i

Бо што́ можна ве́даць пра Бога, яўна для іх, бо Бог выявіў ім;

They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.

бо нявідомае Яго, ве́чная сіла Яго і Божства ад стварэньня сьве́ту праз разважаньне аб творах відомым робіцца, каб быць ім без апраўданьня

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

за тое, што яны, пазнаўшы Бога, не як Бога славілі Яго ці дзякавалі, але марным займаліся ў разважаньнях сваіх, і прыцьмілася неразумнае сэрца іх:

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.

кажучы аб сабе́, што яны мудрыя, яны адурэлі

Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.

і славу нятле́ннага Бога замянілі на ўзор абраза тле́ннага чалаве́ка і птушак, і чацьвёраногіх, і га́даў.

And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

Дык і аддаў іх Бог у пажаданьнях сэрцаў іх нячыстасьці, каб яны апаганілі це́лы свае́ міжы сабою.

So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.

Яны замянілі праўду Божую на ілжу і пакланіліся і служылі стварэньню заме́ст стварыцеля, які багаслаўлены наве́кі, амін.

They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

Дзеля гэтага аддаў іх Бог цярпе́ць ганьбу: бо жанчыны іх замянілі прыроднае карыстаньне на проціпрыроднае.

That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.

Гэтак сама і мужчыны, пакінуўшы прыроднае карыстаньне з жаночага полу, распаляліся пажадлівасьцяй адзін да аднаго, мужчыны на мужчынах сорам робячы і атрымліваючы ў самых сабе́ нале́жную адплату за свой блуд.

And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

І, як яны ня рупіліся ме́ць Бога ў розуме, дык аддаў іх Бог ілжываму розуму рабіць непатрэбшчыну,

Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.

і яны напоўнены ўсякай няпраўдаю, распустай, крывадушнасьцяй, прагавітасьцяй, злосьцяй, напоўнены зайздрасьцяй, забойствам, сваркай, ашуканствам, благімі абычаямі;

Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.

яны — зьвяглівыя манюкі, боганенавісьнікі, крыўдзіцелі, самахвалы, гардуны, выдумшчыкі ліхога, непаслухмяныя бацьком,

They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents.

неразумныя, вераломныя, пазбаўленыя любві, непагодлівыя, неміласэрныя.

They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy.

Яны ве́даюць праведны прысуд Божы, што тыя, хто гэткае робіць, варты сьме́рці; аднак, яны ня толькі гэта робяць, але й пахваляюць тых, хто робіць.

They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
