Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Дети, будьте послушны своим родителям в Господе, это ваш долг.

HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise),

"Чти отца своего и мать, — это первая заповедь с обещанием, —

SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.

быть счастливым и долго жить на земле".

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Отцы, не раздражайте своих детей, но, наоборот, воспитывайте их, приучая к порядку, и наставляя в Господнем учении.

Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ;

Рабы, подчиняйтесь своим земным хозяевам со страхом и трепетом, от чистого сердца, как вы подчинялись бы и Христу.

not by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

Делайте это не напоказ, только, чтобы заслужить их доброе отношение, но делайте это как рабы Христа, от души исполняющие волю Бога.

With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men,

Служите со старанием, как вы служили бы Господу, а не людям.

knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free.

Знайте, что Господь вознаградит каждое доброе дело, кто бы его ни сделал, раб или свободный.

And masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.

И вы, хозяева, так же относитесь к своим рабам. Перестаньте им угрожать. Помните, что на небесах есть Господь — хозяин над ними и над вами, и Он никому не отдает предпочтения.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.

И в заключение хочу сказать: укрепляйтесь в Господе Его мощью и силой.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Наденьте на себя все вооружение, которое дал вам Бог, чтобы вы могли отразить козни сатаны.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Потому что мы боремся не против людей, а против духовных правителей и властей, против владык этого мрачного мира — против духов зла на небесах.

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Возьмите поэтому всё Божье оружие, чтобы вы смогли противостать им, когда наступит злой день, и, все преодолев, выстоять.

Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,

Встаньте твердо, подпоясавшись ремнем истины, надев панцирь праведности,

and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;

обув ноги в готовность провозглашать Радостную весть о мире.

in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

A прежде всего возьмите щит веры, которым вы сможете погасить горящие стрелы дьявола.

And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Наденьте шлем спасения и возьмите духовный меч — слово Божье.

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,

Молитесь всякими молитвами и во всякое время в Духе, будьте постоянны в молитве за всех святых.

and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,

Молитесь и обо мне, чтобы, когда я говорю, мне были даны нужные слова и чтобы я мог бесстрашно объяснять тайну Евангелия,

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

посланником которого я являюсь даже в этих кандалах. Молитесь о том, чтобы я говорил об этом как должно, без страха.

But that you also may know about my circumstances, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make everything known to you.

Обо мне, о том, что я делаю, вам все расскажет Тихик, наш дорогой брат и верный служитель Господа.

I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us, and that he may comfort your hearts.

Для этого я и посылаю его к вам, чтобы вы узнали о нас и ободрились.

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Пусть у вас, братья, будет мир, любовь и вера от Бога Отца и Господа Иисуса Христа.

Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love.

Благодать со всеми, кто бесконечно любит нашего Господа Иисуса Христа.
