Послание к Евреям святого апостола Павла

Бог, многократно и многообразно говоривший в древности отцам в пророках,

Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.

в эти дни последние говорил нам в Сыне, Которого поставил наследником всего, чрез Которого и сотворил миры.

And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.

Сын, будучи излучением славы и отпечатком сущности Его, и держа всё словом силы Своей, совершив очищение грехов, воссел по правую сторону Величества в небесах,

The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.

сделавшись настолько превосходнейшим ангелов, насколько отличнейшее пред ними унаследовал Имя.

This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.

Ибо кому когда Бог сказал из ангелов: Ты Сын Мой, Я сегодня родил Тебя? и еще: Я буду Ему Отцом, и Он будет Мне Сыном?

For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus: “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.a” God also said, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”b

А еще, когда Он вводит Первородного во вселенную, Он говорит: И да поклонятся Ему все ангелы Божии.

And when he brought his supremec Son into the world, God said,d “Let all of God’s angels worship him.”e

И, если об ангелах Он говорит: Делающий ангелов Своих ветрами и служителей Своих пламенем огня, —

Regarding the angels, he says, “He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire.”f

то о Сыне: Престол Твой, Боже, во век века, и: скипетр правоты есть скипетр Царства Его.

But to the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.

Ты возлюбил праведность и возненавидел беззаконие; поэтому помазал Тебя, Боже, Бог Твой елеем радости преимущественно перед общниками Твоими.

You love justice and hate evil. Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”g

и: Ты в начале. Господи, основал землю, и дела рук Твоих — небеса:

He also says to the Son, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands.

они погибнут, а Ты пребываешь, и все, как одежда, обветшают,

They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing.

и, подобно одеянию. Ты свернешь их; как одежду, и будут изменены; но Ты — один и тот же, и лета Твои не кончатся.

You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same; you will live forever.”h

Кому когда из ангелов Бог сказал: Сядь по правую Мою сторону, доколе Я не положу врагов Твоих в подножие ног Твоих?

And God never said to any of the angels, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”i

Не все ли они служебные духи, посылаемые на служение для имеющих наследовать спасение?

Therefore, angels are only servants — spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.
