Царь Иосия праздновал Пасху Господу в Иерусалиме. Пасхальный ягнёнок был заколот на четырнадцатый день первого месяца.

And Josiah held a passover to Jehovah in Jerusalem; and they slaughtered the passover on the fourteenth of the first month.

Иосия избрал священников, чтобы они выполняли свои обязанности. Он ободрил священников, когда они служили в храме Господа.

And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of Jehovah.

Он говорил с левитами, которые учили народ Израиля и освятились для службы Господу. Он сказал этим левитам: «Поставьте святой ковчег в храм, который построил Соломон, сын Давида, царя Израиля. Не носите его снова с места на место на своих плечах. Служите Господу, Богу вашему, и Его народу, Израилю!

And he said to the Levites, that taught all Israel, [and] who were holy to Jehovah, Put the holy ark in the house that Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, built; ye have not to carry it upon your shoulders. Serve now Jehovah your God, and his people Israel;

Подготовьтесь к службе в храме по вашим племенам. Исполняйте те обязанности, которые царь Давид и его сын, царь Соломон, поручили вам.

and prepare yourselves by your fathers' houses, in your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son;

Стойте на святом месте с левитами. Сделайте это для каждого колена, чтобы вы могли помочь людям.

and stand in the sanctuary for the classes of the fathers' houses, for your brethren, the children of the people, and [according] to the divisions of the fathers' houses of the Levites;

Заколите пасхальных ягнят и освятитесь для Господа. Подготовьте ягнят для ваших братьев, израильтян. Делайте всё, что Господь приказал нам делать. Господь дал нам все эти указания через Моисея».

and slaughter the passover, and hallow yourselves, and prepare it for your brethren, that they may do according to the word of Jehovah through Moses.

Иосия дал израильтянам тридцать тысяч овец и коз, чтобы принести их в жертву на Пасху. Он также дал народу три тысячи голов крупного рогатого скота. Все эти животные принадлежали царю Иосии.

And Josiah gave for the children of the people a heave-offering of the flocks, lambs and goats, all for the passover-offerings, for all that were present -- to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king's substance.

Приближённые царя также раздавали народу, священникам и левитам животных и вещи на Пасху. За храм Божий отвечали Хелкия, Захария и Иехиил. Они дали священникам две тысячи шестьсот ягнят и козлят и триста быков для пасхальных жертвоприношений.

And his princes gave a voluntary heave-offering for the people, for the priests, and for the Levites: Hilkijah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave to the priests for the passover-offerings two thousand six hundred [small cattle] and three hundred oxen;

Хонания, Шемаия, Нафанаил и его братья, а также Хашавия, Иеиел и Иозавад также дали левитам пять тысяч овец и коз и пятьсот быков для пасхальных жертвоприношений. Эти люди были вождями левитов.

and Conaniah, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave as heave-offering to the Levites for the passover-offerings five thousand [small cattle] and five hundred oxen.

Когда всё было готово для начала пасхальной службы, священники и левиты заняли свои места согласно повелению царя.

And the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the king's commandment.

После того как пасхальные ягнята были заколоты, левиты сняли кожу с животных и отдали кровь священникам, которые окропили кровью алтарь.

And they slaughtered the passover, and the priests sprinkled [the blood] from their hand, and the Levites flayed them.

Затем они раздали животных разным коленам народа для всесожжения. Это было сделано для того, чтобы жертвы всесожжения могли быть принесены так, как учила книга Закона Моисея. Затем они сделали то же самое с быками.

And they set apart the burnt-offerings to give them to the classes of the fathers' houses of the children of the people, to present them to Jehovah, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so [did they] with the oxen.

Левиты зажарили пасхальные жертвоприношения над огнём, как им было приказано. Они сварили священные приношения в горшках, котлах и кастрюлях и быстро раздали мясо людям.

And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance; and the consecrated things they boiled in pots and in cauldrons and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the children of the people.

После того как это было закончено, левиты взяли мясо для себя и для священников, которые были потомками Аарона. Эти священники были очень заняты, работая, пока не стемнело. Они много трудились, сжигая жертвы всесожжения и жир от жертв.

And afterwards they made ready for themselves and for the priests; because the priests, the sons of Aaron, [were engaged] in offering up the burnt-offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests, the sons of Aaron.

Певцы-левиты из колена Асафа стояли на местах, как было приказано царём Давидом. Асафу, Еману, царскому пророку Идифуну и всем привратникам не было необходимости уходить со своих мест, потому что их братья-левиты приготовили им всё для Пасхи.

And the singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the doorkeepers were at every gate; they had not to depart from their service, for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

Всё было сделано в тот день для поклонения Господу, как приказал царь Иосия. Пасха праздновалась, и жертвы всесожжения были принесены на алтаре Господа.

And all the service of Jehovah was prepared the same day, to hold the passover, and to offer burnt-offerings on the altar of Jehovah according to the commandment of king Josiah.

Народ Израиля, который был там, семь дней праздновал Пасху и праздник Пресных Хлебов.

And the children of Israel that were present held the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

И не праздновалась в Израиле Пасха с таким размахом со времён пророка Самуила! Никто из израильских царей не праздновал Пасху так, как праздновали её царь Иосия, священники, левиты и народ Иудеи и Израиля, который находился со всеми людьми в Иерусалиме.

And there was no passover like to that holden in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel hold such a passover as Josiah held, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Они праздновали эту Пасху в восемнадцатый год царствования Иосии.

In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover holden.

Иосия сделал все эти добрые дела для храма. После этого Нехао, египетский царь, повёл своё войско сразиться против города Кархемис на реке Евфрат. Царь Иосия вышел сразиться против Нехао.

After all this, when Josiah had arranged the house, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Karkemish at the Euphrates; and Josiah went out against him.

Но Нехао отправил к Иосии послов с таким сообщением: «Царь Иосия, это тебя не касается. Я не с тобой пришёл биться, а с моими врагами. Бог велел мне торопиться. Бог на моей стороне, так что не иди против Него. Если ты решишь сразиться против меня, то Бог уничтожит тебя!»

And he sent messengers to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house with which I have war; and God has told me to make haste: keep aloof from God who is with me, that he destroy thee not.

Однако Иосия не ушёл, а решил сразиться с Нехао. Он переоделся в другие одежды и вышел на битву на равнину Мегиддон. Он отказался прислушаться к тому, что сказал Нехао об указании Бога.

But Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight against him; and he hearkened not to the words of Necho from the mouth of God; and he came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

Во время битвы Иосия был ранен лучниками. Он сказал своим слугам: «Уведите меня, я тяжело ранен!»

And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away, for I am sore wounded.

Слуги вынесли Иосию из его колесницы и положили его в другую колесницу, которую он привёз с собой. Затем они привезли Иосию в Иерусалим, где он и умер. Иосия был похоронен в могиле, где были похоронены его предки. Весь народ Иудеи и Иерусалима был очень опечален смертью Иосии.

And his servants took him out from the chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had, and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died, and was buried in the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

Иеремия написал и спел несколько похоронных песен для Иосии. Мужчины и женщины и сегодня ещё поют эти печальные песни. Это стало традицией для народа Израиля — петь печальную песню для Иосии. Все эти песни записаны в книге «Похоронных песен».

And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah; and all the singing men and singing women spoke of Josiah in their lamentations to this day; and they made them an ordinance for Israel. And behold, they are written in the lamentations.

Всё остальное, что сделал Иосия во время своего царствования, от начала и до конца правления, описано в книге «Цари израильские и иудейские».

And the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his good deeds, according to that which is written in the law of Jehovah,

Эта книга рассказывает о его верности Господу и о том, как он подчинялся закону Господа.

and his acts, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
