In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

Во ѻ҆смы́й мц҇ъ, втора́гѡ лѣ́та, при да́рїи, бы́сть сло́во гд҇не ко заха́рїи варахі́инѹ, сы́нѹ а҆ддѡ́вѹ, про҇ро́кѹ, гл҃ѧ:

The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

прогнѣ́васѧ гд҇ь на ѻ҆тцы̀ ва́шѧ гнѣ́вомъ ве́лїимъ,

Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.

и҆ рече́ши къ ни҄мъ: си́це гл҃етъ гд҇ь вседержи́тель: ѡ҆брати́тесѧ ко мнѣ̀, гл҃етъ гд҇ь си́лъ, и҆ ѡ҆бращѹ́сѧ къ ва́мъ, гл҃етъ гд҇ь си́лъ.

Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.

И҆ не бѹ́дите, ѩ҆́коже ѻ҆тцы̀ ва́ши, и҆̀хже ѡ҆блича́хѹ про҇ро́цы пре́жнїи, глаго́люще: си́це гл҃етъ гд҇ь вседержи́тель: ѿврати́тесѧ ѿ пѹті́й ва́шихъ лѹка́выхъ и҆ ѿ начина́нїй ва́шихъ ѕлы́хъ: и҆ не послѹ́шаша и҆ не внѧ́ша послѹ́шати менѐ, гл҃етъ гд҇ь (вседержи́тель).

Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

Ѻ҆тцы̀ ва́ши гдѣ̀ сѹ́ть и҆ про҇ро́цы; є҆да̀ во вѣ́къ поживѹ́тъ;

But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

Ѻ҆ба́че словеса̀ моѧ҄ и҆ зако́ны моѧ҄ прїе́млете, є҆ли҄ка а҆́зъ заповѣ́даю въ дс҃ѣ мое́мъ рабѡ́мъ мои҄мъ про҇ро́кѡмъ, и҆̀же пости́гнѹша ѻ҆тцє́въ ва́шихъ. И҆ ѿвѣща́ша и҆ рѣ́ша: ѩ҆́коже ѹ҆ста́ви гд҇ь вседержи́тель сотвори́ти на́мъ по пѹтє́мъ на́шымъ и҆ по начина́нїємъ на́шымъ, та́кѡ сотворѝ на́мъ.

Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

Въ два́десѧть четве́ртый первагѡна́десѧть мц҇а, се́й є҆́сть мц҇ъ сава́тъ, во второ́е лѣ́то, при да́рїи, бы́сть сло́во гд҇не ко заха́рїи варахі́инѹ, сы́нѹ а҆ддѡ́вѹ, про҇ро́кѹ, гл҃ѧ:

I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.

ви́дѣхъ но́щїю, и҆ сѐ, мѹ́жъ всѣ́дъ на конѧ̀ ры́жа, и҆ се́й стоѧ́ше междѹ̀ гора́ми ѡ҆сѣнѧ́ющими, и҆ за ни́мъ ко́ни ры́жы и҆ сѣ́ри, и҆ пе́стри и҆ бѣ́ли,

Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.

и҆ рѣ́хъ: что̀ сі́и, го́споди; И҆ речѐ ко мнѣ̀ а҆́гг҃лъ глаго́лѧй во мнѣ̀: а҆́зъ покажѹ́ ти, что̀ сѹ́ть сїѧ҄.

And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

И҆ ѿвѣща̀ мѹ́жъ стоѧ́й междѹ̀ гора́ми и҆ речѐ ко мнѣ̀: сі́и сѹ́ть, и҆̀хже посла̀ гд҇ь ѡ҆б̾итѝ зе́млю.

And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

И҆ ѿвѣща́ша а҆́гг҃лѹ гд҇ню стоѧ́щемѹ междѹ̀ гора́ми и҆ рѣ́ша: ѡ҆быдо́хомъ всю̀ зе́млю, и҆ сѐ, всѧ̀ землѧ̀ населе́на є҆́сть и҆ молчи́тъ.

Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?

И҆ ѿвѣща̀ а҆́гг҃лъ гд҇ень и҆ речѐ: гд҇и вседержи́телю, доко́лѣ не и҆́маши поми́ловати ї҆ер҇ли́ма и҆ гра́ды ї҆ѹ́дѡвы, ѩ҆̀же презрѣ́лъ є҆сѝ, сїѐ седмьдесѧ́тое лѣ́то;

And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.

И҆ ѿвѣща̀ гд҇ь вседержи́тель а҆́гг҃лѹ глаго́лющемѹ во мнѣ̀ гл҃го́лы добры҄ и҆ словеса̀ ѹ҆тѣ҄шна.

So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

И҆ речѐ ко мнѣ̀ а҆́гг҃лъ глаго́лѧй во мнѣ̀: возопі́й глаго́лѧ: си́це гл҃етъ гд҇ь вседержи́тель: ревнова́хъ по ї҆ер҇ли́мѹ и҆ сїѡ́нѹ рве́нїемъ вели́кимъ,

And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

и҆ гнѣ́вомъ ве́лїимъ а҆́зъ гнѣ́ваюсѧ на ѩ҆зы́ки напа́дающыѧ: занѐ а҆́зъ ѹ҆́бѡ прогнѣ́вахсѧ ма́лѡ, ѻ҆ни́ же налего́ша во ѕла҄ѧ.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

Сегѡ̀ ра́ди си́це гл҃етъ гд҇ь: ѡ҆бращѹ́сѧ ко ї҆ер҇ли́мѹ щедро́тами, и҆ хра́мъ мо́й сози́ждетсѧ въ не́мъ, гл҃етъ гд҇ь вседержи́тель, и҆ мѣ́ра протѧ́гнетсѧ во ї҆ер҇ли́мѣ є҆щѐ.

Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

И҆ речѐ ко мнѣ̀ а҆́гг҃лъ глаго́лѧй во мнѣ̀: є҆щѐ возопі́й глаго́лѧ: си́це гл҃етъ гд҇ь вседержи́тель: є҆щѐ прелїѧ́тисѧ и҆́мѹтъ гра́ди благи́ми, и҆ поми́лѹетъ гд҇ь є҆щѐ сїѡ́на и҆ и҆збере́тъ є҆щѐ ї҆ер҇ли́ма.

Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.

И҆ возведо́хъ ѻ҆́чи моѝ и҆ ви́дѣхъ, и҆ сѐ, четы́ри ро́зи,

And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

и҆ рѣ́хъ ко а҆́гг҃лѹ глаго́лющемѹ во мнѣ̀: что̀ сѹ́ть сїѧ҄, го́споди; И҆ речѐ ко мнѣ̀: сі́и ро́зи расточи́вшїи ї҆ѹ́дѹ и҆ ї҆и҃лѧ и҆ ї҆ер҇ли́ма.

And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.

И҆ показа́ ми гд҇ь четы́ри древодѣ҄лѧ.

Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

И҆ рѣ́хъ: что̀ сі́и грѧдѹ́тъ сотвори́ти, (го́споди); И҆ речѐ: сі́и ро́зи расточи́вшїи ї҆ѹ́дѹ, и҆ ї҆и҃лѧ сокрѹши́ша, и҆ никто́же ѿ ни́хъ воздви́же главы̀: и҆ и҆зыдо́ша сі́и поѡстри́ти ѧ҆̀ въ рѹка́хъ свои́хъ четы́ри ро́зи, ѩ҆зы́цы возносѧ́щїи ро́гъ на зе́млю гд҇ню, є҆́же расточи́ти ю҆̀.
