Пе́ршую кнігу, Фео́філе, напіса́ў я пра ўсё, што Іісус рабíў і чаму вучы́ў

The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

ад пача́тку да таго́ дня, калі Ён ўзнёсся, да́ўшы праз Духа Свято́га настаўле́нні Апо́сталам, якіх Ён абра́ў,

until the day in which [a]He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

пе́рад якíмі Ён і пасля́ паку́т Сваіх паказа́ў Сябе́ жывы́м у шматлíкіх до́казах, на праця́гу сарака́ дзён яўля́ючыся ім і гаво́рачы пра Царства Бо́жае;

to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many [b]infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

і, сабра́ўшы іх, Ён загада́ў ім: з Іерусалíма не адлуча́йцеся, а чака́йце абяца́нага Айцо́м, пра што вы чу́лі ад Мяне́;

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;

бо Іаа́н хрысцíў вадо́ю, а вы бу́дзеце хры́шчаны Ду́хам Святы́м праз не́калькі дзён.

for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Таму́ яны, сышо́ўшыся, пыта́ліся ў Яго́, ка́жучы: Го́спадзі, ці не ў гэты час аднаўля́еш Ты ца́рства Ізра́ілю́

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

Ён жа сказа́ў ім: не ва́ша спра́ва ве́даць часы́ і тэ́рміны, якíя Айце́ц устанавíў Сваёю ўла́даю;

And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

але вы атрыма́еце сілу, калі сы́дзе Святы́ Дух на вас, і бу́дзеце Мне све́дкамі ў Іерусалíме, і ва ўсёй Іудзе́і і Самары́і, і аж да кра́ю зямлі.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [c]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

І, сказа́ўшы гэта, Ён узня́ўся, паку́ль яны глядзе́лі, і во́блака схава́ла Яго ад вачэ́й іх.

Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

І калі яны ўзіра́ліся ў не́ба, як Ён аддаля́ўся, ра́птам паўста́лі перад íмі два мужы́ ў бе́лым адзе́нні,

And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

якія сказа́лі: мужы́ Галіле́йскія! чаго вы стаіце́, угляда́ючыся ў неба́ Гэты Іісус, Які ўзнёсся ад вас на неба, пры́йдзе такім са́мым чы́нам, як вы ба́чылі Яго, калі ўзыхо́дзіў на неба.

who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Тады вярну́ліся яны ў Іерусалíм з гары́, называ́най Елео́н, што непадалёку ад Іерусалíма, на адле́гласці хады́ субо́тняга дня.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey.

І, увайшо́ўшы, паднялíся ў святлíцу, дзе і застава́ліся яны: Пётр і Іа́каў, Іаа́н і Андрэ́й, Філíп і Фама́, Варфаламе́й і Матфе́й, Іа́каў Алфе́еў і Сíман Зіло́т, ды Іу́да Іа́каўлеў;

And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James.

усе яны аднаду́шна трыва́лі ў малíтве і мале́нні ра́зам з жанчы́намі і Мары́яй, Маці Іісу́савай, і з брата́мі Яго.

These all continued with one [d]accord in prayer [e]and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

І ў дні тыя Пётр, ста́ўшы пасяро́д ву́чняў, —

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the [f]disciples (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty), and said,

а было́ сабра́ных каля́ ста дваццацí асо́б, — сказаў: мужы́ браты́! нале́жала здзе́йсніцца таму́, што ў Піса́нні прадказа́ў Дух Святы́ ву́снамі Давíда пра Іу́ду, які стаў павадыро́м тых, што ўзялí Іісуса;

“Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus;

бо ён быў залíчаны да нас і атрыма́ў прызначэ́нне на служэ́нне гэ́тае;

for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry.”

але ён набы́ў зямлю́ за ўзнагаро́ду няпра́ведную і, нізры́нуўшыся, разадра́ўся пасярэ́дзіне, і вы́валілася ўсё нутро́ яго;

(Now this man purchased a field with the [g]wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his [h]entrails gushed out.

і гэта ста́ла вядо́ма ўсім жыхара́м Іерусалíма, так што была́ назва́на зямля́ та́я на іх ула́снай мо́ве Акелдама́, што зна́чыць «зямля́ крывí»;

And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem; so that field is called in their own language, Akel Dama, that is, Field of Blood.)

бо напíсана ў кнíзе псалмо́ў: «няха́й ста́не двор яго пусты́м, і няха́й ніхто́ не жыве́ ў ім», і: «паса́ду яго няха́й пры́ме íншы»;

“For it is written in the Book of Psalms: ‘Let his dwelling place be [i]desolate, And let no one live in it’; and, ‘Let another take his [j]office.’

таму́ трэба, каб з тых мужо́ў, што хадзíлі з на́мі ўвесь час, — калі прыйшо́ў і знахо́дзіўся сяро́д нас Гаспо́дзь Іісус,

“Therefore, of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

пачына́ючы ад хрышчэ́ння Іаа́навага і да таго́ дня, як Ён узнёсся ад нас, — адзін стаў ра́зам з намі све́дкам уваскрасе́ння Яго.

beginning from the baptism of John to that day when He was taken up from us, one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”

І паста́вілі дваіх: Іо́сіфа, называ́нага Варса́вам, які быў празва́ны Іу́стам, і Матфíя;

And they proposed two: Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

і, памалíўшыся, сказалі: Ты, Го́спадзі, Сэрцаве́дзе ўсіх, пакажы́ аднаго́, якога Ты вы́браў з гэтых двух,

And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen

каб ён прыня́ў прызначэ́нне на служэ́нне гэтае і апо́стальства, ад якога адпа́ў Іу́да і пайшо́ў у сваё месца.

to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.”

І далí жэ́рабі ім, і вы́пала жэ́рабя на Матфíя, і ён быў прылíчаны да адзіна́ццаці Апо́сталаў.

And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
