Когда я пришел к вам, братья, моя проповедь о тайне Божьей не отличалась ни красноречием, ни особой мудростью.

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

Находясь среди вас, я решил не знать ничего, кроме распятого Иисуса Христа.

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Слабым, полным страха и трепета я пришел к вам.

And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

Но моя весть и моя проповедь были сильны проявлением силы Духа, а не мудростью и не убедительными словами,

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

чтобы ваша вера основывалась не на человеческой мудрости, а на Божьей силе.

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Мудрость же мы проповедуем среди людей, духовно зрелых, но это не мудрость этого мира и не мудрость властителей этого мира, которые рано или поздно превращаются в ничто.

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

Нет, мы говорим о тайной мудрости Божьей, которая до сих пор была скрыта, но от начала существования мира была предназначена для нашей славы.

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Те, кому принадлежит власть в этом мире, не поняли ее, иначе они не распяли бы Господа славы.

Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Мы возвещаем то, о чем написано: "Не видел глаз, не слышало ухо и не приходило на сердце человеку, что Бог приготовил любящим Его".

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Нам же Бог открыл это Духом, потому что Духу известно все. Он проникает во все глубины премудрости Божьей.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Кто может знать мысли человека, кроме его собственного духа, живущего в нем? Так же и замыслов Бога никто не знает, кроме Духа Божьего.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Мы получили не дух этого мира, а Дух от Бога, чтобы нам понять все дарованное нам Богом.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Об этом мы проповедуем не словами человеческой мудрости, но словами, которым нас научил Дух. Духовные истины мы проповедуем на духовном языке.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Человек, в котором не обитает Божий Дух, не принимает того, что Божий Дух говорит ему, он считает это глупостью и не может понять, потому что об этом можно судить только духовно.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Духовный же человек может судить обо всем, о нем же никакой человек судить не может,

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

потому что кто способен познать разум Господа, чтобы ему учить Его? Мы же имеем разум Христов.

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
