Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.

Всякий, верующий, что Иисус — Христос, от Бога рожден, и всякий, любящий Родившего, любит и рожденного от Него.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.

Что мы любим детей Божиих, узнаём из того, если любим Бога и соблюдаем заповеди Его.

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Ибо это любовь к Богу, чтобы мы соблюдали заповеди Его; и заповеди Его не тяжки.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — [a]our faith.

Ибо всякий, рожденный от Бога, побеждает мир; и эта победа, победившая мир, — вера наша.

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Кто побеждает мир, как не тот, кто верует, что Иисус — Сын Божий?

This is He who came by water and blood — Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Сей есть Иисус Христос, пришедший водою, и кровью, и Духом, не водою только, но водою и кровью; и Дух свидетельствует о Нем, потому что Дух есть истина.

For there are three that bear witness [b]in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

Ибо три свидетельствуют на небе: Отец, Слово и Святой Дух; и Сии три едины.

And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

И три свидетельствуют на земле: дух, вода и кровь; и сии три об одном.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of [c]God which He has testified of His Son.

Если мы принимаем свидетельство человеческое, свидетельство Божие — больше, ибо это свидетельство Божие, которым Бог свидетельствовал о Сыне Своем.

He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.

Верующий в Сына Божьего имеет свидетельство в себе самом; не верующий Богу представляет Его лживым, потому что не верует в свидетельство, которым Бог свидетельствовал о Сыне Своем.

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

Свидетельство это состоит в том, что Бог даровал нам жизнь вечную, и эта жизнь в Сыне Его.

He who has the Son has [d]life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Имеющий Сына (Божьего) имеет жизнь; не имеющий Сына Божьего не имеет жизни.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, [e]and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Это написал я вам, верующим во имя Сына Божьего, дабы вы знали, что вы, веруя в Сына Божьего, имеете жизнь вечную.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

И вот какое дерзновение мы имеем к Нему, что, когда просим чего по воле Его, Он слушает нас.

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

А когда мы знаем, что Он слышит нас, чего бы мы ни просили, знаем и то, что получаем просимое от Него.

If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that.

Если кто видит брата своего, согрешающего грехом не к смерти, то пусть молится, и Бог даст ему жизнь, то есть согрешающему грехом не к смерти. Есть грех к смерти; не о том говорю, чтобы он молился.

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.

Всякая неправда есть грех, но есть грех не к смерти.

We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps[f] [g]himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

Мы знаем, что всякий, рожденный от Бога, не грешит; но рожденный от Бога хранит себя, и лукавый не прикасается к нему.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

Мы знаем, что мы от Бога и что весь мир лежит во зле.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Знаем также, что Сын Божий пришел и дал нам разумение, чтобы мы познали (Бога) Истинного; и мы — в Истинном, Сыне Его Иисусе Христе. Сей есть истинный Бог и жизнь вечная.

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Дети! Храните себя от идолов. Аминь.
