Паўла, з волі Божае апостал Ісуса Хрыста, а Цімох брат, царкве Божай, што ў Карынце, з усімі сьвятымі, што ў вусёй Ахаі:

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

ласка вам а супакой ад Бога Айца а Спадара Ісуса Хрыста.

Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Дабраславёны Бог а Ацец Спадара нашага Ісуса Хрыста, Ацец міласэрдзя і Бог усялякага пацяшэньня,

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

Каторы цеша нас у кажнай атузе нашай, каб і мы маглі цешыць тых, што былі б у якой-лень атузе, тым пацяшэньням, каторым Бог цеша нас самых!

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Бо як збыткуюць у нас цярпеньні Хрыстовы, так пераз Хрыста збыткуюць таксама пацяшэньні нашы.

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

Калі мы ў ватузе, дык дзеля вашага пацяшэньня а спасеньня, каторае дзеецца ператрываньням тых самых цярпеньняў, каторыя й мы церпім;

And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

І надзея наша на вас пэўная. Калі ж цешымся, дык із вашага пацяшэньня а спасеньня, ведаючы, што як вы ўчасьнікі цярпеньня, так і пацяшэньня.

And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

Бо мы ня зычым, каб вы ня ведалі, браты, праз атугу, каторая сталася нам ув Азі, што мы ацяжараны былі звыш меры а сілы, ажно былі ў безнадзеяньню ўзглядам жыцьця.

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

Але самы ў сабе мелі рассудак сьмерці, каб не спадзявацца на самых сябе, але на Бога, Каторы ўскрышае мертвых,

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

Каторы выбавіў нас ад так блізкое сьмерці і выбаўляе, і на Каторага спадзяемся, што й яшчэ выбаве.

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

І вы супрацаваць будзеце малітвамі за нас, каб за дары нам, за прычынаю шмат каго, дзякаваньне было за нас.

Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

Бо пахвала нашая гэта, сьветчаньне сумленьня нашага, што ў прасьціні а шчырасьці перад Богам. ня ў мудрасьці цялеснай, але ў ласцы Божай, мы паступалі на сьвеце, асабліва ж із вамі.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Бо мы ня пішам вам нічога іншага, але што вы чытаеце й разумееце, і спадзяюся, што будзеце разумець аж да канца;

For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;

Бо вы часткава й даведаліся ўжо, што мы будзем вашай пахвалаю, аднолькава й вы нашай, у дзень Спадара нашага Ісуса.

As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

гэтай пэўнасьцю я маніўся прыйсьці да вас уперад, каб вы ўдругава ласку мелі,

And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;

І пераз вас прайсьці да Макядоні, з Макядоні ж ізноў прыйсьці да вас, а вы праводзілі б мяне да Юдэі.

And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.

Ці ўлегцы я зрабіў, маючы такі замер? Ці што я замяраю, подле цела замяраю, так што ў мяне «Але, але» і «Не, не»?

When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?

Вось жа, верны Бог, што слова наша да вас ня ёсьць «Але» й «Не».

But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.

Бо Сын Божы, Ісус Хрыстос, абяшчаны памеж вас намі, імною а Сіланом а Цімохам, ня быў «Але» й «Не»; але ў Ім было «Але»,

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

Бо ўсі абяцаньні Божыя ў Ім «Але» і ў Ім «Амін», — на славу Божую пераз нас.

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

А тый, што зацьвярджае нас із вамі ў Хрысту і памазаў нас, ё Бог,

Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

Каторы таксама запячатаваў нас і даў задатку Духа ў сэрцы нашы.

Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Бо гукаю Бога за сьветку на душу сваю, што, шчаджаючы вас, я дагэтуль ня прыходзіў да Карынту,

Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.

Не затым, быццам мы бярэм уладу над вераю вашаю; але мы супрацаўні радасьці вашае: бо вераю вы стаіце.

Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
