Першы нарыс, о Хахілю, уклаў я праз усе, што Ісус пачаў заразом чыніць і навучаць,

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Аж да тога дня, каторага Ён узьнёсься, даўшы Сьвятым Духам расказаньне апосталам, каторых Ён абраў,

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Перад каторымі й стаў жывы, па замучаньню, зь бесьпярэчнымі довадамі, будучы бачаны імі на працягу сараку дзён і кажучы праз гаспадарства Божае.

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

І, зьбершы, расказаў ім не адхінацца ад Ерузаліму, але «чакайце абяцанага ад Айца, што вы чулі ад Мяне;

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

Бо Яан запраўды хрысьціў у вадзе, а вы будзеце хрышчаны за колькі дзён Сьвятым Духам».

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Затым яны, зышоўшыся, пыталіся ў Яго, кажучы: «Спадару, ці ня гэтага часу Ты адновіш гаспадарства Ізраелю?»

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Ён жа сказаў ім: «Ня вам знаць часы альбо поры, каторыя Айцец паклаў у ўладзе Сваёй;

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Але вы прыймеце магутнасьць, як зыйдзе на вас Дух Сьвяты, і будзеце Імне сьветкамі ў Ерузаліме а ў вусёй Юдэі а ў Самары а аж да канца зямлі».

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

І, сказаўшы гэта, як яны глядзелі, Ён быў узяты, і булак прыняў Яго ад ачоў іхных.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

І як яны ўцяміліся ў неба, як Ён узыходзіў, і вось, два мужы сталі перад імі ў белым адзецьцю,

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

І каторыя сказалі: «Мужы Ґалілейскія, чаго вы стаіце, гледзячы на неба? Гэта Ісус, узяты ад вас на неба, такім парадкам прыйдзе, як вы бачылі ўзыходзячага Яго на неба».

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Тады яны зьвярнуліся да Ерузаліму з гары, званае Аліўнаю, што ля Ерузаліму, маючы сыботняга дня дарогу.

Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

І, увыйшоўшы, узышлі да верхняга пакою, ідзе перабывалі разам Пётра а Яан а Якаў а Андрэй, Піліп а Хама, Баўтрамей а Мацьвей, Якаў Алфеенак а Сымон Зылот а Юда, брат Якаваў.

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

Гэтыя ўсі перабывалі згодна, кажначасна ў малітве із жанкамі а Марыяй, Маці Ісусавай, а з братамі Ягонымі.

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

І тымі днямі Пётра, стаўшы пасярод братоў, — груду наймя разам было каля сту дваццацёх, —сказаў:

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

«Мужы браты, належыла выпаўніцца Пісьму, што Дух Сьвяты прарок вуснамі Давіда празь Юду, каторы стаў правадыром тых, што ўзялі Ісуса;

Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

Бо ён лічыўся меж нас і адзяржаў дзель у службе гэтай.

For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

Дык гэты купіў поле заплатаю за бяспраў’е і, стрымгалоў паўшы, раськяпіўся пасярэдзіне, і выпаў увесь нутр ягоны.

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

І гэта стала ведама ўсім жыхарам Ерузаліму, так што тое поле было названа ў нарэччу іхным собскім Акельдама, значыцца, поле крыві.

And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

Бо напісана ў кнізе псальмаў: "Няхай дамова ягоная будзе пустая, і няхай ня будзе жывучага ў ёй", а "Урад ягоны вазьмі іншы".

For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

Дык належыцца, каб із мужоў, што прапушчалі нас увесь час, у каторым Спадар Ісус уходзіў і выходзіў памеж нас,

Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

Пачынаючы ад хрысту Яанавага аж да дня, як быў узяты ад нас, каб адзін із тых стаў сьветкаю з намі ўскрысеньня Ягонага».

Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

І яны пастанавілі двух: Язэпа, званага Вараваю, каторага мянушка была Юст, і Мацьвея.

And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

І, молячыся, сказалі: «Ты, Спадару, усіх сэрцаў ведамча, пакажы з гэтых двух аднаго, каторага Ты абраў,

And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

Заняць месца ў службе гэтай і апосталства, ад каторага Юда адпаў, каб ісьці на месца свае».

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

І кінулі на жэрабя на іх, і пала жэрабя на Мацьвея, і ён быў залічаны да адзінанцацёх апосталаў.

And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
