Ich befehle euch aber unsere Schwester Phöbe, welche ist am Dienste der Gemeinde zu Kenchreä,

I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

daß ihr sie aufnehmet in dem HErrn, wie sich's ziemet den Heiligen, und tut ihr Beistand in allem Geschäfte, darinnen sie euer bedarf. Denn sie hat auch vielen Beistand getan, auch mir selbst.

That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

Grüßet die Priscilla und den Aquila, meine Gehilfen in Christo JEsu,

Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:

welche haben für mein Leben ihre Hälse dargegeben, welchen nicht allein ich danke, sondern alle Gemeinden unter den Heiden.

Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

Auch grüßet die Gemeinde in ihrem Hause. Grüßet Epänetum, meinen Liebsten, welcher ist der Erstling unter denen aus Achaja in Christo.

Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

Grüßet Maria, welche viel Mühe und Arbeit mit uns gehabt hat.

Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

Grüsset den Andronikus und den Junias, meine Gefreundeten und meine Mitgefangenen, welche sind berühmte Apostel und vor mir gewesen in Christo.

Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

Grüßet Amplias, meinen Lieben in dem HErrn.

Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.

Grüßet Urban, unsern Gehilfen in Christo und Stachys, meinen Lieben.

Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.

Grüßet Apelles, den Bewährten in Christo. Grüßet, die da sind von des Aristobulus Gesinde.

Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' household.

Grüßet Herodionus, meinen Gefreundeten. Grüßet, die da sind von des Narcissus Gesinde in dem HErrn.

Salute Herodion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord.

Grüßet die Tryphäna und die Tryphosa, welche in dem HErrn gearbeitet haben. Grüßet die Persida, meine Liebe, welche in dem HErrn viel gearbeitet hat.

Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.

Grüßet Rufus, den Auserwählten in dem HErrn, und seine und meine Mutter.

Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

Grüßet Asynkritus und Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes und die Brüder bei ihnen.

Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them.

Grüßet Philologus und die Julia, Nereus und seine Schwester und Olympas und alle Heiligen bei ihnen.

Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.

Grüßet euch untereinander mit dem heiligen Kuß. Es grüßen euch die Gemeinden Christi.

Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

Ich ermahne aber euch, liebe Brüder, daß ihr aufsehet auf die, die da Zertrennung und Ärgernis anrichten neben der Lehre, die ihr gelernet habt, und weichet von denselbigen!

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Denn solche dienen nicht dem HErr JEsu Christo, sondern ihrem Bauche; und durch süße Worte und prächtige Rede verführen sie die unschuldigen Herzen.

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Denn euer Gehorsam ist unter jedermann auskommen. Derhalben freue ich mich über euch. Ich will aber, daß ihr weise seid aufs Gute, aber einfältig aufs Böse.

For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

Aber der GOtt des Friedens zertrete den Satan unter eure Füße in kurzem! Die Gnade unsers HErrn JEsu Christi sei mit euch!

And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Es grüßen euch Timotheus, mein Gehilfe, und Lucius und Jason und Sosipater, meine Gefreundeten.

Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.

Ich, Tertius, grüße euch, der ich diesen Brief geschrieben habe, in dem HErrn

I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.

Es grüßet euch Gajus, mein und der ganzen Gemeinde Wirt. Es grüßet euch Erastus, der Stadt Rentmeister, und Quartus, der Bruder.

Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.

Die Gnade unsers HErrn Jesu Christi sei mit euch allen! Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Dem aber, der euch stärken kann laut meines Evangeliums und Predigt von JEsu Christo, durch welche das Geheimnis offenbaret ist, das von der Welt her verschwiegen gewesen ist,

Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

nun aber offenbaret, auch kundgemacht durch der Propheten Schriften aus Befehl des ewigen GOttes, den Gehorsam des Glaubens aufzurichten unter allen Heiden:

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

demselbigen GOtt, der allein weise ist, sei Ehre durch Jesum Christum in Ewigkeit! Amen. «An die Römer gesandt von Korinth durch Phöbe, die am Dienst war der Gemeinde zu Kenchrea.»

To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. { Written to the Romans from Corinthus, and sent by Phebe servant of the church at Cenchrea. }
