In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

“The Lord has been very angry with your fathers.

«Загневаўся гневам ГОСПАД на бацькоў вашых.

Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.

І ты скажы ім: “Гэта кажа ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў. Павярніцеся да Мяне, кажа ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў, і Я павярнуся да вас, кажа ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў.

“Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord.

Ня будзьце як бацькі вашыя, да якіх клікалі прарокі, кажучы: “Гэта кажа ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў. Адвярніцеся, прашу, ад шляхоў сваіх злых і ад учынкаў сваіх злых; але яны ня слухалі і не зважалі на Мяне, кажа ГОСПАД”.

“Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?

Бацькі вашыя, дзе яны? І прарокі ці жывуць вечна?

Yet surely My words and My statutes, Which I commanded My servants the prophets, Did they not overtake your fathers? “So they returned and said: ‘Just as the Lord of hosts determined to do to us, According to our ways and according to our deeds, So He has dealt with us.’ ” ’ ”

Толькі словы Мае і пастановы Мае, якія Я загадаў слугам Маім прарокам, ці не дасягалі бацькоў вашых? І яны навярнуліся, і сказалі: “Як ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў думаў зрабіць нам паводле шляхоў нашых і паводле ўчынкаў нашых, так і зрабіў нам”».

On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet:

У дваццаць чацьвёрты дзень адзінаццатага месяца, гэта месяц Шэват, у другім годзе Дарыя было слова ГОСПАДА да Захарыі, сына Бэрэхіі, сына Іддо, прарока, кажучы:

I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white.

«Я бачыў у гэтую ноч; і вось, муж едзе на кані чырвоным, ён стаіць паміж міртаў, якія ў нізіне, а за ім коні чырвоныя, рудыя і белыя.

Then I said, “My lord, what are these?” So the angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what they are.”

І я сказаў: “Што гэта, Госпадзе мой?” І сказаў мне анёл, які гаварыў са мною: “Я пакажу табе, што гэта”.

And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, “These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.”

І адказаў муж, які стаяў паміж міртаў, і сказаў: “Гэта тыя, якіх паслаў ГОСПАД абыйсьці зямлю”.

So they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked to and fro throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is [a]resting quietly.”

І адказалі яны анёлу ГОСПАДА, які стаяў паміж міртаў, і сказалі: “Мы абыйшлі зямлю, і вось, уся зямля заселеная і ў супакоі”.

Then the Angel of the Lord answered and said, “O Lord of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?”

І адказаў анёл ГОСПАДА, і сказаў: “ГОСПАДЗЕ Магуцьцяў, калі Ты зьлітуешся над Ерусалімам і над гарадамі Юды, на якія Ты гневаешся ўжо семдзясят гадоў?”

And the Lord answered the angel who talked to me, with good and comforting words.

І адказаў ГОСПАД анёлу, які гаварыў са мною, словы добрыя, словы пацяшальныя.

So the angel who spoke with me said to me, [b]“Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I am zealous[c] for Jerusalem And for Zion with great [d]zeal.

І сказаў мне анёл, які гаварыў са мною: “Клікай, кажучы: "Гэта кажа ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў. Я раўную пра Ерусалім і пра Сыён рэўнасьцю вялікай.

I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; For I was a little angry, And they helped — but with evil intent.”

І гневам вялікім Я гневаюся на народы, якія ў супакоі, бо Я загневаўся крыху, а яны дапамагалі [рабіць] зло"”.

‘Therefore thus says the Lord: “I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it,” says the Lord of hosts, “And a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.” ’

Дзеля гэтага кажа ГОСПАД: “Я зьвярнуся да Ерусаліму з літасьцю. Дом Мой будзе адбудаваны ў ім, кажа ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў, і меральны шнур будзе расьцягнуты над Ерусалімам”.

“Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “My cities shall again [e]spread out through prosperity; The Lord will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem.” ’ ”

І зноў клікай, кажучы: “Гэта кажа ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў. Зноўку напоўняцца гарады Мае дабром, і зноў пацешыць ГОСПАД Сыён, і выбярэ ізноў Ерусалім”.

Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were four horns.

І ўзьняў я вочы мае, і ўбачыў, і вось, чатыры рогі.

And I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” So he answered me, “These are the [f]horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

І я сказаў анёлу, які гаварыў са мною: “Што гэта?” І ён сказаў мне: “Гэта рогі, якія раскідалі Юду, Ізраіля і Ерусалім”.

Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.

І паказаў мне ГОСПАД чатырох рамесьнікаў.

And I said, “What are these coming to do?” So he said, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but [g]the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

І я сказаў: “Што яны прыходзяць рабіць?” І Ён сказаў, кажучы: “Гэта рогі, якія раскідалі Юду, так што ніхто не падняў галавы сваёй. А яны прыйшлі, каб стрывожыць іх, каб скрышыць рогі народаў, якія паднялі рог супраць зямлі Юды, каб раскідаць яе”.
