The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

Відзеж Ісаі, сына Амоса, які ён бачыў адносна Юды і Ерусаліму ў дні Узіі, Ётама, Ахаза і Эзэкіі, валадароў Юды.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children, And they have rebelled against Me;

Слухайце, нябёсы, і ты, зямля, прыхілі вушы, бо ГОСПАД прамаўляе: «Я выкарміў сыноў і ўзгадаваў іх, а яны пайшлі супраць Мяне.

The ox knows its owner And the donkey its master’s [a]crib; But Israel does not know, My people do not [b]consider.”

Вол ведае гаспадара свайго, і асёл — жолаб уласьніка свайго, а Ізраіль ня ведае [Мяне], народ Мой не разумее».

Alas, sinful nation, A people [c]laden with iniquity, A [d]brood of evildoers, Children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the Lord, They have provoked to anger The Holy One of Israel, They have turned away backward.

Гора табе, народ грэшны, народ, абцяжараны беззаконьнем, насеньне ліхадзейскае, сыны сапсутасьці! Вы пакінулі ГОСПАДА, пагардзілі Сьвятым Ізраіля, павярнуліся сьпінай [да Яго].

Why should you be stricken again? You will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick, And the whole heart faints.

Дзе вас яшчэ ўдарыць, калі вы множыце злачынствы? Уся галава хворая, і ўсё сэрца млоснае;

From the sole of the foot even to the head, There is no soundness in it, But wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; They have not been closed or bound up, Or soothed with ointment.

ад стапы нагі аж да чубу галавы няма на ім месца здаровага, раны і сінякі, і апухлыя шнары, не агледжаныя, не перавязаныя, і алеем не злагоджаныя.

Your country is desolate, Your cities are burned with fire; Strangers devour your land in your presence; And it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

Зямля вашая спустошана, гарады вашыя агнём папалены; чужынцы топчуць палеткі вашыя на вачах вашых; спусташэньне як пасьля зьнішчэньня Садому.

So the daughter of Zion is left as a [e]booth in a vineyard, As a hut in a garden of cucumbers, As a besieged city.

Дачка Сыёну пакінута як намёт у вінаградніку, як будан у агародзе, як горад у аблозе.

Unless the Lord of hosts Had left to us a very small remnant, We would have become like Sodom, We would have been made like Gomorrah.

Калі б ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў не пакінуў нам рэшты, сталіся б мы як Садом, былі б падобныя да Гаморы.

Hear the word of the Lord, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the law of our God, You people of Gomorrah:

Слухайце слова ГОСПАДА, князі Садомскія, пачуйце закон Бога нашага, народ Гаморы!

“To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord. “I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats.

«Навошта Мне мноства ахвяраў вашых? — кажа ГОСПАД. — Я насычаны цэласпаленьнямі казлоў і тлустасьцю кормных цялятаў; кроў валоў, бараноў і казлоў Мне абрыдла.

“When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts?

Калі вы прыходзіце перад аблічча Маё, хто жадае, каб вы тапталі панадворак Мой?

Bring no more futile[f] sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies — I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.

Не складайце больш ахвяраў пустых! Каджэньне абрыдла Мне. Сьвятаў маладзіка, суботаў і голасу сходаў не магу вытрываць, бо нягодныя ўрачыстасьці [вашыя].

Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.

Брыдзіцца душа Мая сьвятамі маладзіка і ўрачыстасьцямі вашымі. Яны сталіся Мне цяжарам, Я мучуся, іх пераносячы!

When you [g]spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of [h]blood.

Калі вы выцягваеце рукі, Я адварочваю вочы Мае ад вас, і нават калі павялічыце малітвы вашыя, ня выслухаю, бо рукі вашыя ў крыві.

“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,

Абмыйцеся, будзьце чыстымі! Прыбярыце ліхоту ўчынкаў вашых з вачэй Маіх! Спыніцеся чыніць зло!

Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke [i]the oppressor; [j]Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.

Навучыцеся рабіць дабро, рупцеся пра суд, дапамагайце пакрыўджанаму, абараняйце сіротаў, заступайцеся за ўдоваў!

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

Тады прыходзьце і спрачайцеся са Мною, — кажа ГОСПАД. Хоць бы грахі вашыя былі, як пурпур, як сьнег стануцца белымі; хоць бы былі чырвоныя, як кармазын, стануцца як воўна.

If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;

Калі вы скарыцеся і будзеце слухаць Мяне, будзеце спажываць даброцьці зямлі.

But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword”; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

А калі адмовіцеся і ня будзеце слухаць, вынішчыць вас меч, бо гэта сказалі вусны ГОСПАДА!»

How the faithful city has become a [k]harlot! It was full of justice; Righteousness lodged in it, But now murderers.

Як стаўся распусьніцай горад верны, поўны суду? Праведнасьць жыла ў ім, а цяпер — забойцы.

Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water.

Срэбра тваё сталася жужалем, віно зьмяшалася з вадою.

Your princes are rebellious, And companions of thieves; Everyone loves bribes, And follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, Nor does the cause of the widow come before them.

Князі твае — бунтаўнікі і супольнікі злодзеяў; яны ўсе любяць падарункі і гоняцца за хабарамі, а не спагадаюць сіраце, і справа ўдоваў іх не цікавіць.

Therefore the Lord says, The Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, “Ah, I will [l]rid Myself of My adversaries, And [m]take vengeance on My enemies.

Дзеля гэтага так кажа Госпад, ГОСПАД Магуцьцяў, Моцны Ізраіля: «Я буду цешыцца з супраціўнікаў Маіх, і адпомшчу ворагам Маім.

I will turn My hand against you, And thoroughly[n] purge away your dross, And take away all your alloy.

І павярну руку Маю на цябе, і лугам ачышчу руду тваю, і прыбяру ўсё волава тваё.

I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.”

І ўзнаўлю судзьдзяў тваіх, як былі раней, і раднікаў тваіх — як было на пачатку. Тады назавуць цябе Горадам Праведнасьці, Цьвярдыняй вернай».

Zion shall be redeemed with justice, And her [o]penitents with righteousness.

Сыён будзе выбаўлены праз правасудзьдзе, а тыя, што навернуцца ў ім — праз праведнасьць.

The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, And those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.

І [будзе] загуба для адступнікаў і грэшнікаў, і тыя, што пакідаюць ГОСПАДА, загінуць.

For [p]they shall be ashamed of the [q]terebinth trees Which you have desired; And you shall be embarrassed because of the gardens Which you have chosen.

Бо сорамна будзе вам дзеля дуброваў, якія вам падабаюцца, у ганьбе будзеце дзеля садоў, якія вы сабе выбралі.

For you shall be as a terebinth whose leaf fades, And as a garden that has no water.

Бо вы станецеся як той дуб, лісьце якога ссохла, і як сад, у якім няма вады.

The strong shall be as tinder, And the work of it as a spark; Both will burn together, And no one shall quench them.

І станецца дужы як зрэб’е, а праца ягоная — як зьнічка, і згараць яны разам, і ня будзе каму тушыць.
