Вот перечень священников и левитов, которые вернулись в Иудейскую землю. Они вернулись с Зоровавелем, сыном Салафииля, и с Иисусом. Вот их список по именам: Сераия, Иеремия, Ездра,

Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

Амария, Маллух, Хаттуш,

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

Шехания, Рехум, Меремоф,

Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,

Адда, Гиннефой, Авия,

Iddo, Ginnetho, Abijah,

Миямин, Маадия, Вилга,

Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

Шемаия, Иоиарив, Иедаия,

Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,

Саллу, Амок, Хелкия и Иедаия. Эти люди были вождями священников и их родственниками. Они были вождями в дни Иисуса.

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.

Левитами были Иисус, Биннуй, Кадмиил, Шеревия, Иуда и Матфания. Матфания и его родственники отвечали за песни, прославляющие Бога.

Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

Бакбукия и Унний были родственниками этих левитов. Эти двое мужчин во время службы стояли напротив них.

Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in the watches.

Иисус был отцом Иоакима. Иоаким был отцом Елиашива. Елиашив был отцом Иоиада.

And Jeshua begat Joiakim, Joiakim also begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,

Иоиада был отцом Ионафана. Ионафан был отцом Иаддуя.

And Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.

В дни Иоакима эти люди были вождями семей священников: Вождём семьи Сераии был Мераия. Вождём семьи Иеремии был Ханания.

And in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

Вождём семьи Ездры был Мешуллам. Вождём семьи Амарии был Иоханан.

Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

Вождём семьи Мелиха был Ионафан. Вождём семьи Шевании был Иосиф.

Of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

Вождём семьи Харима был Адна. Вождём семьи Мераиофа был Хелкия.

Of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

Вождём семьи Адды был Захария. Вождём семьи Гиннефона был Мешуллам.

Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

Вождём семьи Авии был Зихрий. Вождём семей Миниамина и Моадии был Пилтай.

Of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;

Вождём семьи Вилги был Шаммуй. Вождём семьи Шемаии был Ионафан.

Of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

Вождём семьи Иоиарива был Мафнай. Вождём семьи Иедаии был Уззия.

And of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

Вождём семьи Саллая был Каллай. Вождём семьи Амока был Евер.

Of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

Вождём семьи Хелкии был Хашавия. Вождём семьи Иедаии был Нафанаил.

Of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.

Имена вождей семей левитов и священников в дни Елиашива, Иоиада, Иоханана и Иаддуя были записаны во время царствования персидского царя Дария.

The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Darius the Persian.

Вожди семей среди потомков Левия и до времён Иоханана, сына Елиашива, записаны в книге летописей.

The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

Вот главы левитов: Хашавия, Шеревия, Иисус, сын Кадмиила, и их братья, которые стояли напротив, чтобы прославлять и благодарить Бога. Одна группа отвечала другой группе, как и было установлено Давидом, Божьим человеком.

And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.

Привратниками, которые охраняли кладовые у ворот, были Матфания, Бакбукия, Авдия, Мешуллам, Талмон и Аккув.

Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.

Они служили во времена Иоакима, сына Иисуса, который был сыном Иоседека, а также во времена правления областного начальника Неемии и во времена священника и книжника Ездры.

These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

Народ освятил стену Иерусалима. Люди привели в Иерусалим всех левитов из городов, в которых жили. Они пришли в этот город, чтобы отпраздновать освящение стены Иерусалима, а также чтобы петь Богу хвалебные и благодарственные песни, играя на кимвалах, арфах и лирах.

And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

Кроме них, все певцы тоже пришли в Иерусалим из окрестных сёл, а также из городов Нетофаф, Беф-Галгала, Гевы и Азмавефа.

And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;

Певцы построили для себя небольшие города вокруг Иерусалима.

Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.

Священники и левиты очистились в соответствии с обрядом, а затем, согласно обряду, они очистили народ, ворота и стену Иерусалима.

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,

And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,

Некоторые священники с трубами следовали за ними. Также за ними шёл Захария, сын Ионафана (Ионафан был сыном Шемаии, который был сыном Матфании, который был сыном Михея, который был сыном Закхура, который был сыном Асафа).

And certain of the priests' sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:

Там были и братья Асафа: Шемаия, Азариил, Милалай, Гилалай, Маай, Нафанаил, Иуда и Ханани. У них были музыкальные инструменты Давида, Божьего человека. Книжник Ездра шёл впереди этой группы людей.

And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.

Пойдя к воротам Источника, они поднялись по ступенькам к городу Давида на вершине городской стены. Затем они прошли над домом Давида и отправились по направлению к Водяным воротам.

And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.

Вторая группа певцов двигалась в другом направлении, налево. Я следовал за ними, когда они поднялись на стену. Половина людей следовала за ними. Они прошли мимо Печной башни до Широкой стены.

And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;

Затем они прошли над Ефремовыми, Старыми и Рыбными воротами, над башней Хананела и башней Сотни. Достигнув Овечьих ворот, они остановились у Темничных ворот.

And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.

Затем оба хора пошли на свои места в храме Божьем, я занял своё место, а половина приближённых встала на свои места в храме.

So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:

And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

Затем следующие священники стали на свои места в храме: Маасея, Шемаия, Елеазар, Уззия, Иоханан, Малхия, Елам и Ецер. Затем оба хора во главе с Израхией начали петь.

And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.

В этот особый день священники принесли много жертв. Все были очень счастливы. Бог осчастливил каждого. Даже женщины и дети веселились и радовались. Далеко можно было слышать радостные звуки, доносившиеся из Иерусалима.

Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

В тот день народ выбрал людей, которые несли ответственность за кладовые. Люди приносили первые плоды с деревьев и десятую часть своего урожая, а ответственные складывали всё это в кладовые. Евреи были очень рады видеть дежуривших священников и левитов и приносили в кладовые много вещей.

And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.

Священники и левиты выполняли работу для своего Бога. Они совершали обряды, которые очищали людей, в то время как певцы и привратники исполняли свои обязанности. Они делали всё, что приказали Давид и Соломон.

And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.

(Давно, во времена Давида, Асаф был начальником, и у него в распоряжении было много хвалебных и благодарственных песен Богу).

For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

Так во времена Зоровавеля и Неемии все израильтяне давали ежедневную долю для содержания певцов и привратников. Люди также откладывали деньги для остальных левитов, а левиты откладывали деньги для потомков Аарона (священников).

And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.
