2 Летопись 28 глава

Ахазу было двадцать лет, когда он стал царём. Он правил в Иерусалиме шестнадцать лет. Ахаз не делал то, что Господь считал праведным и не подчинялся Господу, как его предок Давид.

 

Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. He did not do what was pleasing in the sight of the LORD, as his ancestor David had done.

Ахаз творил зло, подобно другим израильским царям. Он сделал литых идолов, чтобы поклоняться Ваалу.

 

Instead, he followed the example of the kings of Israel. He cast metal images for the worship of Baal.

Он сжигал благовонное курение в долине Бен-Енном. Он даже своих сыновей принёс в жертву на огне, следуя страшным грехам народов, которых Господь прогнал из страны, когда пришли израильтяне.

 

He offered sacrifices in the valley of Ben-Hinnom, even sacrificing his own sons in the fire.a In this way, he followed the detestable practices of the pagan nations the LORD had driven from the land ahead of the Israelites.

Он совершал жертвоприношения и сжигал благовонное курение на высотах, холмах и под каждым зелёным деревом.

 

He offered sacrifices and burned incense at the pagan shrines and on the hills and under every green tree.

Ахаз грешил, и поэтому Господь позволил сирийскому царю одержать победу над ним. Сирийский царь и его войско разбили Ахаза и, захватив в плен много иудеев, увели их в Дамаск. Господь позволил также сыну Ремалии Факею, израильскому царю, нанести поражение Ахазу.

 

Because of all this, the LORD his God allowed the king of Aram to defeat Ahaz and to exile large numbers of his people to Damascus. The armies of the king of Israel also defeated Ahaz and inflicted many casualties on his army.

Факей и его войско убили в один день сто двадцать тысяч храбрых воинов из Иудеи. Израильский царь уничтожил иудеев, потому что они оставили Господа Бога, Которому поклонялись их предки.

 

In a single day Pekah son of Remaliah, Israel’s king, killed 120,000 of Judah’s troops, all of them experienced warriors, because they had abandoned the LORD, the God of their ancestors.

Зихрий был храбрым воином из Ефрема, который убил Маасею, сына царя Ахаза, Азрикама, начальника над царскими палатами, и Елкану, который был вторым лицом после царя.

 

Then Zicri, a warrior from Ephraim, killed Maaseiah, the king’s son; Azrikam, the king’s palace commander; and Elkanah, the king’s second-in-command.

Израильское войско взяло в плен двести тысяч своих же родственников, живших в Иудее. Они захватили в Иудее женщин, детей и много ценных вещей и привезли пленных и добычу в Самарию.

 

The armies of Israel captured 200,000 women and children from Judah and seized tremendous amounts of plunder, which they took back to Samaria.

Но там находился один из пророков Господа по имени Овид. Он встретил израильское войско, возвращавшееся в Самарию, и сказал: «Господь Бог, Которому подчинялись ваши предки, позволил вам поразить иудеев, потому что Он гневался на них. Вы убили и жестоко наказали народ Иудеи, и теперь Бог гневается на вас.

 

But a prophet of the LORD named Oded was there in Samaria when the army of Israel returned home. He went out to meet them and said, “The LORD, the God of your ancestors, was angry with Judah and let you defeat them. But you have gone too far, killing them without mercy, and all heaven is disturbed.

Вы задумали держать народ Иудеи и Иерусалима в рабстве. Вы также согрешили против Господа, Бога вашего.

 

And now you are planning to make slaves of these people from Judah and Jerusalem. What about your own sins against the LORD your God?

А теперь послушайте меня. Отпустите своих братьев и сестёр, которых вы взяли в плен, потому что страшный гнев Господа направлен против вас».

 

Listen to me and return these prisoners you have taken, for they are your own relatives. Watch out, because now the LORD’s fierce anger has been turned against you!”

Когда некоторые вожди народа Ефрема увидели израильских воинов, возвращающихся с войны, они встретили их и предостерегли. Эти вожди были: Азария, сын Иоханана, Берехия, сын Мешиллемофа, Иехизкия, сын Селлума, и Амессай, сын Хадлая.

 

Then some of the leaders of Israelb — Azariah son of Jehohanan, Berekiah son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah son of Shallum, and Amasa son of Hadlai — agreed with this and confronted the men returning from battle.

Они сказали израильским воинам: «Не приводите сюда пленных из Иудеи, чтобы наш грех перед Господом не стал ещё больше. Это лишь усугубит наш грех и вину, и гнев Господа будет над Израилем!»

 

“You must not bring the prisoners here!” they declared. “We cannot afford to add to our sins and guilt. Our guilt is already great, and the LORD’s fierce anger is already turned against Israel.”

Тогда воины передали пленных и ценные вещи этим вождям и народу Израиля.

 

So the warriors released the prisoners and handed over the plunder in the sight of the leaders and all the people.

Вожди же, упомянутые раньше, встали и помогли пленным. Эти четверо мужчин взяли одежду, которую захватили израильские воины, и отдали её нагим пленным. Вожди также обули их, дали пленным иудеям есть и пить и растёрли их маслом. Затем вожди из народа Ефрема посадили всех ослабевших пленных на ослов и отправили их обратно к их семьям в город Иерихон, который назывался городом Пальм. После этого четверо вождей вернулись домой в Самарию.

 

Then the four men just mentioned by name came forward and distributed clothes from the plunder to the prisoners who were naked. They provided clothing and sandals to wear, gave them enough food and drink, and dressed their wounds with olive oil. They put those who were weak on donkeys and took all the prisoners back to their own people in Jericho, the city of palms. Then they returned to Samaria.

At that time King Ahaz of Judah asked the king of Assyria for help.

В то время снова пришли идумеяне и разбили иудеев, захватив многих в плен.

 

The armies of Edom had again invaded Judah and taken captives.

Филистимляне тоже напали на города, находившиеся на холмах и на юге Иудеи. Они захватили города Вефсамис, Аиалон, Гедероф, Сохо, Фимнаф, Гимзо и все маленькие города вокруг них и поселились там.

 

And the Philistines had raided towns located in the foothills of Judahc and in the Negev of Judah. They had already captured and occupied Beth-shemesh, Aijalon, Gederoth, Soco with its villages, Timnah with its villages, and Gimzo with its villages.

Господь принёс беды Иудее, потому что Ахаз, иудейский царь, вводил народ Иудеи в грех и не был верен Господу.

 

The LORD was humbling Judah because of King Ahaz of Judah,d for he had encouraged his people to sin and had been utterly unfaithful to the LORD.

Феглафелласар, ассирийский царь, пришёл к Ахазу, но вместо того, чтобы помочь ему, принёс Ахазу только беды.

 

So when King Tiglath-pilesere of Assyria arrived, he attacked Ahaz instead of helping him.

Ахаз взял некоторые сокровища из храма Господа, из царского дворца и из дома князей и отдал их ассирийскому царю, но и это ему не помогло.

 

Ahaz took valuable items from the LORD’s Temple, the royal palace, and from the homes of his officials and gave them to the king of Assyria as tribute. But this did not help him.

Во время своих бед Ахаз грешил ещё тяжелее и становился всё более неверным Господу.

 

Even during this time of trouble, King Ahaz continued to reject the LORD.

Он приносил жертвы богам, которым поклонялся народ Дамаска. Народ Дамаска разбил Ахаза, и поэтому он подумал: «Боги, которым поклоняются сирийцы, помогают им. Если я принесу жертвы этим богам, может быть, они и мне помогут». Поклоняясь этим богам, Ахаз сам грешил, а также вводил народ Израиля в грех.

 

He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus who had defeated him, for he said, “Since these gods helped the kings of Aram, they will help me, too, if I sacrifice to them.” But instead, they led to his ruin and the ruin of all Judah.

Ахаз собрал священные предметы из храма Божьего и разбил их на куски, а затем закрыл двери храма Господа. Он сделал алтари и поставил их на каждом углу в Иерусалиме.

 

The king took the various articles from the Temple of God and broke them into pieces. He shut the doors of the LORD’s Temple so that no one could worship there, and he set up altars to pagan gods in every corner of Jerusalem.

В каждом городе Иудеи Ахаз сделал высоты для сжигания благовонного курения, чтобы поклоняться другим богам. Ахаз очень прогневил Господа Бога, Которому повиновались его предки.

 

He made pagan shrines in all the towns of Judah for offering sacrifices to other gods. In this way, he aroused the anger of the LORD, the God of his ancestors.

The rest of the events of Ahaz’s reign and everything he did, from beginning to end, are recorded in The Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.

Ахаз умер и был похоронен со своими предками в Иерусалиме, но не в той гробнице, где хоронили израильских царей, а после него новым царём стал его сын Езекия.

 

When Ahaz died, he was buried in Jerusalem but not in the royal cemetery of the kings of Judah. Then his son Hezekiah became the next king.
