{A Song; a Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.} Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the hill of his holiness.

Нача́льнику хо́ра. Сыно́в Коре́евых. Псало́м.

Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

Слу́шайте сие́, все наро́ды; внима́йте сему́, все живу́щие во вселе́нной, —

God is known in her palaces as a high fortress.

и просты́е и зна́тные, бога́тый, ра́вно как бе́дный.

For behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together;

Уста́ мои́ изреку́т прему́дрость, и размышле́ния се́рдца моего́ — зна́ние.

They saw, -- so they marvelled; they were troubled, they fled in consternation:

Приклоню́ у́хо моё к при́тче, на гу́слях откро́ю зага́дку мою́:

Trembling took hold upon them there; anguish, as of a woman in travail.

«для чего́ боя́ться мне во дни бе́дствия, когда́ беззако́ние путе́й мои́х окружи́т меня́?»

With an east wind thou hast broken the ships of Tarshish.

Наде́ющиеся на си́лы свои́ и хваля́щиеся мно́жеством бога́тства своего́!

As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of Jehovah of hosts, in the city of our God: God doth establish it for ever. Selah.

челове́к ника́к не иску́пит бра́та своего́ и не даст Бо́гу вы́купа за него́:

We have thought, O God, of thy loving-kindness, in the midst of thy temple.

дорога́ цена́ искупле́ния души́ их, и не бу́дет того́ вове́к,

According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

что́бы оста́лся кто жить навсегда́ и не уви́дел моги́лы.

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

Ка́ждый ви́дит, что и му́дрые умира́ют, ра́вно как и неве́жды и бессмы́сленные погиба́ют и оставля́ют иму́щество своё други́м.

Walk about Zion, and go round about her: count the towers thereof;

В мы́слях у них, что домы́ их ве́чны и что жили́ща их в род и род, и зе́мли свои́ они́ называ́ют свои́ми имена́ми.

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces: that ye may tell it to the generation following.

Но челове́к в че́сти не пребу́дет; он уподо́бится живо́тным, кото́рые погиба́ют.

For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide until death.

Э́тот путь их есть безу́мие их, хотя́ после́дующие за ни́ми одобря́ют мне́ние их.
