Это служение дано нам Божьей милостью, и мы не разочаровываемся в нем.

Therefore, having this ministry, as we have had mercy shewn us, we faint not.

Мы отвергаем постыдные дела, которые совершаются втайне, не лжем и не искажаем Божье слово. Мы проповедуем истину, и пусть каждый человек судит нас в своей совести перед Богом.

But we have rejected the hidden things of shame, not walking in deceit, nor falsifying the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.

Если для кого-то наше Евангелие и закрыто, то только для тех, кто идет к погибели,

But if also our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those that are lost;

для неверующих, у которых бог этого мира ослепил умы, чтобы они не увидели света Евангелия и славы Христа, который есть образ Бога.

in whom the god of this world has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the radiancy of the glad tidings of the glory of the Christ, who is [the] image of God, should not shine forth [for them].

Ведь мы проповедуем не самих себя, а Христа Иисуса как Господа, мы же ваши рабы ради Иисуса.

For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus Lord, and ourselves your bondmen for Jesus' sake.

Бог сказал: "Из тьмы пусть воссияет свет!" И сам Он есть тот свет, который светит в наших сердцах. Он дает нам знание Божьей славы в лице Иисуса Христа.

Because [it is] the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in [the] face of [Jesus] Christ.

Но это драгоценное сокровище мы носим в глиняных сосудах и показываем, что эта выдающаяся сила исходит не от нас, а от Бога.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be of God, and not from us:

На нас давят со всех сторон, но мы не сломлены; мы в смущении, но не в отчаянии;

every way afflicted, but not straitened; seeing no apparent issue, but our way not entirely shut up;

нас преследуют, но мы не покинуты; мы сильно побиты, но не убиты.

persecuted, but not abandoned; cast down, but not destroyed;

В нашем теле мы всегда носим смерть Иисуса, чтобы в нас была явлена и Его жизнь.

always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body;

Пока мы живы, нас все время предают смерти за Иисуса; мы стоим перед лицом смерти, чтобы и жизнь Иисуса была явлена в наших смертных телах.

for we who live are always delivered unto death on account of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh;

Смерть совершает свою работу в нас ради того, чтобы в вас совершила свою работу жизнь!

so that death works in us, but life in you.

А поскольку мы обладаем тем же духом веры — как написано: "Я поверил, поэтому я говорил", — мы тоже верим и поэтому говорим.

And having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I have believed, therefore have I spoken; we also believe, therefore also we speak;

Мы знаем, что тот, кто воскресил Господа Иисуса, воскресит с Иисусом и нас, и поставит перед собой рядом с вами.

knowing that he who has raised the Lord Jesus shall raise us also with Jesus, and shall present [us] with you.

Все это к вашему благу, чтобы благодать, достигающая все большего и большего числа людей, делала все сильнее благодарность, возносимую во славу Бога.

For all things [are] for your sakes, that the grace abounding through the many may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

Поэтому мы не падаем духом. Если даже мы разрушаемся физически, то внутренне мы изо дня в день обновляемся.

Wherefore we faint not; but if indeed our outward man is consumed, yet the inward is renewed day by day.

Наши временные страдания принесут нам грядущую вечную славу.

For our momentary [and] light affliction works for us in surpassing measure an eternal weight of glory;

Мы смотрим не на видимое, а на невидимое, потому что видимое временно, а невидимое вечно.

while we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen; for the things that are seen [are] for a time, but those that are not seen eternal.
