Второе послание к Коринфянам святого апостола Павла

Так что мы не унываем: нам по милости Божьей дано столь великое служение.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

Нет у нас ничего такого, что пришлось бы со стыдом скрывать, мы не прибегаем к хитрости и не извращаем Слова Божьего — мы открываем истину, мы перед Богом позволяем совести всякого человека судить о нас.

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Если же наше Евангелие для кого-то по-прежнему скрыто под покрывалом, это покрывало — только для тех, кто погибает.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

Разум неверных ослепил тот, кого в этом мире принимают за бога, чтобы не просветил их свет славного Христова Евангелия, а Христос — это образа Бога.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Ведь мы проповедуем не самих себя, а Господа Иисуса Христа. Сами мы, благодаря Иисусу — ваши рабы.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

Бог некогда сказал: «из тьмы воссияет свет», — и теперь Он просветил наши сердца светом познания Божьей славы, явленной в Иисусе Христе.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Вот какое сокровище хранится в наших телах, словно в глиняных сосудах; эта величайшая сила — от Бога, а не от нас самих.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Отовсюду нас теснят, но мы не сломлены; мы в нужде, но не в отчаянии;

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

нас гонят, но мы не одиноки, унижают — но мы не погибли.

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

Постоянно, где бы мы ни были, в нашем теле умирает Иисус, чтобы и жизнь Иисуса проявилась в нашем теле.

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Мы живы, но нас постоянно предают на смерть ради Иисуса, но так и жизнь Иисуса проявится в смертном нашем теле.

For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

Так что смерть действует в нас, а жизнь — в вас.

So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

У нас один и тот же дух веры, как и написано: «я веровал, и потому говорил» — и мы веруем, и потому говорим.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Мы знаем: Кто воскресил Господа Иисуса, и нас вместе с вами воскресит с Иисусом и поставит пред Собой.

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

Всё это происходит ради вас, чтобы всё больше людей принимали благодать и множили благодарность во славу Божью.

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

Так что мы не унываем: если человеческое наше естество подвержено распаду, то внутренняя сущность обновляется изо дня в день.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

Нынешние наши малые скорби лишь увеличивают для нас вечную славу,

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

и наши взоры устремлены не к заметному, а к незримому: заметное временно, незримое вечно.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
