Я заклинаю тебя перед Богом и Помазанником Иисусом, который будет судить живых и мёртвых в явление Его и в Царстве Его:

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Проповедуй слово, выполняй своё задание в удобное и неудобное время, обличай, порицай, ободряй со всем долготерпением и учением.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Ведь будет время, когда здравого учения не будут держаться, но по своим собственным желаниям окружат себя кучей учителей, льстящих слух [буквально: щекочащих слух];

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

И от истины отвратят слух и обратятся к сказкам.

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Ты же будь бдительным во всём, переноси тяготы, исполняй работу благовестника, полностью совершай своё служение.

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Я уже становлюсь жертвой возлияния, и время моего отшествия уже близко.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

Я доблестно состязался в борьбе, бег завершил, веру сохранил,

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

И теперь мне отложен венок праведности, который отдаст мне Господь, Праведный Судья, и не только мне, но и всем, кто полюбил явление Его.

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Постарайся прийти ко мне поскорей,

Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

Потому что Димас оставил меня, возлюбив нынешний мир, и пошёл в Фессалонику, Крискент в Галатию, а Тит в Далматию;

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Один Лука со мной. Марка возьми ко мне с собой, потому что он полезен мне для служения.

Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

Тихика же я послал в Эфес.

And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

Плащ, который я оставил в Троаде у Карпа, возьми и принеси с собой, и свитки, особенно пергаменты.

The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.

Александр медник много сделал мне зла, пусть Господь воздаст ему по делам его:

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

Остерегайся его и ты, ведь он очень противостал нашим словам.

Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

Во время первой моей защиты в суде никого не было на моей стороне, напротив, все оставили меня. Да не вменится им это!

At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

Господь же мне явился и укрепил меня, чтобы через меня проповедь была полностью совершена и услышали [её] все народы, и я был спасён из пасти льва.

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

И спасёт меня Господь от всякого злого дела и сохранит для Своего Небесного Царства, Ему слава во веки веков, аминь.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Эраст остался в Коринфе, Трофима же я оставил больного в Милите.

Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

Постарайся прийти до зимы. Приветствуют тебя Эвбул, Пуд, Лин и Клавдия, и все братья.

Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

Пусть Господь будет с духом твоим! И да будет с вами милость Божья!

The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen. {The second epistle unto Timotheus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Ephesians, was written from Rome, when Paul was brought before Nero the second time.}
