Второе послание Тимофею

Прошу тебя перед Богом и Христом Иисусом, Его явлением, Его Царством и Его грядущим судом над живыми и мертвыми:

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Возвещай Слово. Не унимайся ни в урочное, ни в неурочное время. Делай упор на главное, укоряй, разубеждай терпеливо. Учи доказательно.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Будет время, когда здравое учение посчитают невыносимым и будут из соображений удобства приглашать толпы учителей, не раздражающих слух.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

От истины слух отвратят и увлекутся выдумками.

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

А ты на жизнь смотри здраво. Страдания принимай как должное. Совершай труд евангелиста, иди путем своего служения.

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Пролился я жертвенным возлиянием. Пришло время моего отшествия.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

Состязался я честным состязанием, с дистанции не сошел, выполнил все требования.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Теперь готовится мне венец праведности. Им наградит меня в Свой День Господь, праведный Судья. И не только меня, но и всех, кто любит думать о Его возвращении.

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Постарайся прийти ко мне поскорей.

Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

Демас увлекся нынешним веком, оставил меня, ушел в Фессалонику. Криск — в Галатию, Тит — в Далматию.

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Один Лука со мной. Возьми с собой Марка, пусть придет: он в служении хороший мне помощник.

Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

Тихика я отправил в Эфес.

And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

Когда пойдешь, прихвати накидку, которую я оставил в Троаде у Карпа, и книги, особенно пергамент.

The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.

Мне много навредил Александр медник. Да воздаст ему Господь по его делам!

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

Опасайся его и ты. Он никак не хотел терпеть наших слов.

Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

На первом слушании никто меня не поддержал, все отказались. Да не зачтется им!

At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

За меня вступился Господь, дал мне силу. Ему нужно, чтобы через меня сработало евангелие, дошло до всех язычников и избежал я пасти льва.

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Господь избавит меня от злых мучений, сохранит для Своего Небесного Царства. Ему слава во веки веков! Аминь.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Передавай привет Приске и Аквиле и дому Онисифора.

Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.

Эраст остался в Коринфе. Трофим был болен, когда я уходил из Милета.

Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

Постарайся прийти до зимы. Тебе передают привет Эвбул, Пуд, Лин, Клавдия и все братья.

Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

С духом твоим да будет Господь! Благодать да будет с вами!

The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen. {The second epistle unto Timotheus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Ephesians, was written from Rome, when Paul was brought before Nero the second time.}
