Те, кто верят, что Иисус — Христос, становятся детьми Божьими. И каждый, кто любит Отца, любит и дитя Его.

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.

Вот как мы узнаем, что любим детей Божьих: любя Бога и повинуясь Его заповедям.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.

Вот как мы показываем свою любовь к Богу: тем, что исполняем заповеди Его. И Его заповеди не слишком трудно исполнять,

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

потому что каждый, кто от Бога, побеждает мир. Вот что принесло нам победу над миром — наша вера.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — [a]our faith.

Так кто же завоюет мир, если не тот, кто верит, что Иисус — Сын Божий?

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Это Он, Иисус Христос, пришёл к нам с водой и кровью. Он пришёл к нам не только с водой, но с водой и с кровью. И Дух — свидетель этому, потому что Дух — это истина.

This is He who came by water and blood — Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Есть тому три свидетеля:

For there are three that bear witness [b]in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

Дух, вода и кровь, и все они свидетельствуют об одном и том же.

And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

Если мы принимаем свидетельство людское, то должны признать, что свидетельство Бога ценнее. И вот каково свидетельство Бога: Он свидетельствует о Своём Сыне.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of [c]God which He has testified of His Son.

Кто верит в Сына Божьего, несёт это свидетельство в себе; кто не верит в то, что говорит Бог, превращает его в лжеца, потому что не верит в свидетельство Бога о Своём Сыне.

He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.

Свидетельство же вот в чём: Бог дал нам вечную жизнь, и эта жизнь в Сыне Его.

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

Тот, у кого есть Сын, имеет эту жизнь; тот же, у кого нет Сына Божьего, не имеет этой жизни.

He who has the Son has [d]life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Я пишу вам, верующим в Сына Божьего, чтобы вы знали, что обладаете вечной жизнью.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, [e]and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Мы с уверенностью можем прийти к Богу, потому что если попросим о чём-то согласно Его воле, то Он услышит нас.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

И если мы знаем, что Он слышит нас, о чём бы мы ни просили Его, то знаем также, что то, о чём мы просили, Он нам даёт.

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Если кто уличит верующего брата своего в грехе, но не в смертельном, то должен помолиться за брата, и Бог дарует ему жизнь. Я говорю о тех, кто впал в грех, но не в смертельный. Есть же такой грех, который ведёт к смерти. Я не говорю, что вы должны молиться о таком грехе.

If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that.

Любой неправедный поступок — грех, но есть грех, который не приводит к смерти.

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.

Мы знаем, что любой, кто становится одним из детей Божьих, не упорствует в грехах, и Сын Божий бережёт его, и тогда лукавый не может повредить ему.

We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps[f] [g]himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

Мы знаем, что принадлежим Богу, хотя весь мир находится во власти лукавого.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

Но мы знаем, что Сын Божий пришёл и принёс нам понимание, чтобы мы узнали истинного Бога. И мы пребываем в Том, Кто истинен, потому что мы в Сыне Его — Иисусе Христе. Он — истинный Бог, Он — вечная жизнь!

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Дети мои! Сторонитесь лжебогов.

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
