“Here is the list of the tribes of Israel and the territory each is to receive. The territory of Dan is in the extreme north. Its boundary line follows the Hethlon road to Lebo-hamath and then runs on to Hazar-enan on the border of Damascus, with Hamath to the north. Dan’s territory extends all the way across the land of Israel from east to west.

Сия же имена племен от начала еже к северу, по стране схождения разделяющаго ко входу имафову двора енаня, предел дамасков к северу по стране имафова двора: и будут им яже на востоки, даже до моря, даново едино.

“Asher’s territory lies south of Dan’s and also extends from east to west.

И от предел дановых к востоком даже до моря, асирово едино.

Naphtali’s land lies south of Asher’s, also extending from east to west.

И от предел асировых, от сущих к востоком, даже до моря, неффалимле едино.

Then comes Manasseh south of Naphtali, and its territory also extends from east to west.

От предел же неффалимлих от страны восточныя даже до страны моря, манассиино едино.

South of Manasseh is Ephraim,

От предел же манассииных, сущих на востоки, даже до сущих к морю, ефремле едино.

and then Reuben,

От предел же ефремлих, иже на восток, даже до моря, рувимле едино.

and then Judah, all of whose boundaries extend from east to west.

От предел же рувимлих, иже на востоки, даже до моря, иудино едино.

“South of Judah is the land set aside for a special purpose. It will be 8 1/3 milesa wide and will extend as far east and west as the tribal territories, with the Temple at the center.

А от предел иудиных, иже к востоком, даже до моря, будет начаток уделения двадесяти и пяти тысящ широта, и долгота якоже едина от частей сущих к востоком, и даже до тех яже к морю: и будет святое посреде их.

“The area set aside for the LORD’s Temple will be 8 1/3 miles long and 6 2/3 miles wide.b

Начаток, егоже отделят Господеви, в долготу двадесять и пять тысящ и в широту двадесять и пять тысящ.

For the priests there will be a strip of land measuring 8 1/3 miles long by 3 1/3 miles wide,c with the LORD’s Temple at the center.

От сих будет начаток святых жерцем, к северу (в долготу) двадесять и пять тысящ, и к морю в широту десять тысящ, и к востоку десять тысящ, и на юг в долготу двадесять и пять тысящ: и гора святых будет посреде его

This area is set aside for the ordained priests, the descendants of Zadok who served me faithfully and did not go astray with the people of Israel and the rest of the Levites.

жерцем, освященным сыном садуковым, стрегущым стражбы храма, иже не прельстишася во прельщение сынов израилевых, якоже прельстишася левити.

It will be their special portion when the land is distributed, the most sacred land of all. Next to the priests’ territory will lie the land where the other Levites will live.

И будет им начаток даемый от начатков земли, святое святых от предел левитских.

“The land allotted to the Levites will be the same size and shape as that belonging to the priests — 8 1/3 miles long and 3 1/3 miles wide. Together these portions of land will measure 8 1/3 miles long by 6 2/3 miles wide.d

Левитом же ближняя пределов жреческих, двадесяти и пяти тысящ в долготу, а в широту десяти тысящ: вся долгота двадесяти и пяти тысящ, а широта десяти тысящ.

None of this special land may ever be sold or traded or used by others, for it belongs to the LORD; it is set apart as holy.

Да не продастся от него, ни заменится, ниже отимутся первая жита земли, яко свято есть Господеви.

“An additional strip of land 8 1/3 miles long by 1 2/3 miles wide,e south of the sacred Temple area, will be allotted for public use — homes, pasturelands, and common lands, with a city at the center.

Пять же тысящ избыточных в широте двадесяти и пяти тысящей, предградие да будет граду на вселение и в разстояние его: и да будет град среде его.

The city will measure 1 1/2 milesf on each side — north, south, east, and west.

И сия меры его: от севера четыре тысящы и пять сот, и от юга четыре тысящы и пять сот, и от восток четыре тысящы и пять сот, и от моря четыре тысящы и пять сот.

Open lands will surround the city for 150 yardsg in every direction.

И да будет разстояние граду к северу двусту и пятидесяти, и к югу двусту и пятидесяти, и на восток двусту и пятидесяти, и к морю двусту и пятидесяти.

Outside the city there will be a farming area that stretches 3 1/3 miles to the east and 3 1/3 miles to the westh along the border of the sacred area. This farmland will produce food for the people working in the city.

Избыток же долготы держащься начатков святых десять тысящ к востоком и десять тысящ к морю: и будут начатки святаго, и будут жита ея во хлебы делающым град.

Those who come from the various tribes to work in the city may farm it.

Делающии же град да делают его от всех племен израилевых.

This entire area — including the sacred lands and the city — is a square that measures 8 1/3 milesi on each side.

Весь начаток двадесяти и пяти тысящ на двадесять и пять тысящ: четвероуголно отделите от него начаток святаго, от одержания градскаго,

“The areas that remain, to the east and to the west of the sacred lands and the city, will belong to the prince. Each of these areas will be 8 1/3 miles wide, extending in opposite directions to the eastern and western borders of Israel, with the sacred lands and the sanctuary of the Temple in the center.

а избыток старейшине от сего: и от онаго, от начатков святаго и во участие града, спреди на двадесять и пять тысящ долгота, до предел, иже к морю и к востоком, спреди на двадесять и пять тысящ, до предел, иже к морю, близ частей старейшины: и да будет начаток святых и освящение храма среде его.

So the prince’s land will include everything between the territories allotted to Judah and Benjamin, except for the areas set aside for the sacred lands and the city.

От участия же левитска и от участия града, среде старейшин, будет среде предел иудиных и среде предел вениаминих, и старейшин да будет.

“These are the territories allotted to the rest of the tribes. Benjamin’s territory lies just south of the prince’s lands, and it extends across the entire land of Israel from east to west.

А избыточное племен от сущих к востоком даже до сущих к морю, вениаминово едино.

South of Benjamin’s territory lies that of Simeon, also extending across the land from east to west.

От предел же вениаминих к востоком даже до страны яже к морю, симеоне едино.

Next is the territory of Issachar with the same eastern and western boundaries.

От предел же симеоних, от страны яже на восток даже до страны яже к морю, иссахарово едино.

“Then comes the territory of Zebulun, which also extends across the land from east to west.

А от предел иссахаровых, от востоков даже до моря, завулоне едино.

The territory of Gad is just south of Zebulun with the same borders to the east and west.

От предел же завулоних, от востока даже до страны моря, гадово едино.

The southern border of Gad runs from Tamar to the waters of Meribah at Kadeshj and then follows the Brook of Egypt to the Mediterranean.k

От предел же гадовых, от востока даже до ливы: и будут пределы его от юга, и воды варимоф-кадиса, наследия даже до моря великаго.

“These are the allotments that will be set aside for each tribe’s exclusive possession. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!

Сия земля, юже расположите жребием племеном израилевым: и сии разделы их, глаголет Господь Бог.

“These will be the exits to the city: On the north wall, which is 1 1/2 miles long,

И сии исходы града, иже к северу, четыре тысящы и пять сот мерою:

there will be three gates, each one named after a tribe of Israel. The first will be named for Reuben, the second for Judah, and the third for Levi.

врата же града по именом племен израилевых: врата троя на север: врата рувимля едина, врата же иудина едина и врата левиина едина:

On the east wall, also 1 1/2 miles long, the gates will be named for Joseph, Benjamin, and Dan.

и на восток четыре тысящы и пять сот, и врата троя: врата едина иосифова, врата же едина вениаминя и врата данова едина:

The south wall, also 1 1/2 miles long, will have gates named for Simeon, Issachar, and Zebulun.

и яже к югу четыре тысящы и пять сот мерою, и врата троя: врата едина симеону, врата же едина иссахару и врата едина завулону:

And on the west wall, also 1 1/2 miles long, the gates will be named for Gad, Asher, and Naphtali.

и яже к морю четыре тысящы и пять сот мерою: врата троя: врата едина гадова, и врата асирова едина и врата неффалимова едина.

“The distance around the entire city will be 6 miles.l And from that day the name of the city will be ‘The LORD Is There.’m”

Округлость же осминадесяти тысящ: имя же граду, от негоже дне будет, Господь тамо будет имя ему.
