This is a revelation froma Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soonb take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John,

Апокалипсис Иисуса Христа, егоже даде ему Бог, показати рабом своим, имже подобает быти вскоре. И сказа, послав чрез ангела своего рабу своему иоанну,

who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

иже свидетелствова слово Божие и свидетелство Иисус Христово, и елика виде.

God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.

Блажен чтый, и слышащии словеса пророчествия, и соблюдающии писаная в нем: время бо близ.

This letter is from John to the seven churches in the province of Asia.c Grace and peace to you from the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come; from the sevenfold Spiritd before his throne;

Иоанн седмим Церквам, яже суть во асии: благодать вам и мир от сущаго, и иже бе, и грядущаго, и от седми духов, иже пред престолом его суть,

and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.

и от Иисуса Христа, иже есть свидетель верный, первенец из мертвых и Князь царей земных: любящу ны и омывшу нас от грех наших кровию своею,

He has made us a Kingdom of priests for God his Father. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

и сотворил есть нас цари и иереи Богу и Отцу своему, тому слава и держава во веки веков. Аминь.

Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him — even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!

Се, грядет со облаки, и узрит его всяко око и иже его прободоша, и плачь сотворят о нем вся колена земная. Ей, аминь.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega — the beginning and the end,”e says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come — the Almighty One.”

Аз есмь алфа и омега, начаток и конец, глаголет Господь, сый, и иже бе, и грядый, вседержитель.

I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom and in the patient endurance to which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus.

Аз иоанн, иже и брат ваш и общник в печали и во Царствии и в терпении Иисус Христове, бых во острове нарицаемем патмос за слово Божие и за свидетелство Иисус Христово.

It was the Lord’s Day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit.f Suddenly, I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet blast.

Бых в дусе в день неделный, и слышах за собою глас велий яко трубы глаголющия: аз есмь алфа и омега, первый и последний:

It said, “Write in a bookg everything you see, and send it to the seven churches in the cities of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

и: яже видиши, напиши в книгу, и посли Церквам, яже суть во асии: во ефес и в смирну, в пергам и в фиатир, и в сардис и в филаделфию и в лаодикию.

When I turned to see who was speaking to me, I saw seven gold lampstands.

И обратихся видети глас, иже глаголаше со мною: и обратився видех седмь светилник златых,

And standing in the middle of the lampstands was someone like the Son of Man.h He was wearing a long robe with a gold sash across his chest.

и посреде седми светилников подобна Сыну Человечу, облечена в подир и препоясана при сосцу поясом златым:

His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire.

глава же его и власи белы аки ярина белая, якоже снег: и очи его яко пламень огнен:

His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves.

и нозе его подобне халколивану, якоже в пещи разжженне: и глас его яко глас вод мног:

He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword came from his mouth. And his face was like the sun in all its brilliance.

и держя в руце своей десней седмь звезд: и из уст его мечь обоюду остр изострен исходяй: и лице его якоже солнце сияет в силе своей.

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.

И егда видех его, падох к ногама его яко мертв. И положи десницу свою на мне, глаголя ми: не бойся: аз есмь первый и последний

I am the living one. I died, but look — I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.i

и живый: и бых мертв, и се, жив есмь во веки веков, аминь: и имам ключи ада и смерти.

“Write down what you have seen — both the things that are now happening and the things that will happen.j

Напиши убо, яже видел еси, и яже суть, и имже подобает быти по сем.

This is the meaning of the mystery of the seven stars you saw in my right hand and the seven gold lampstands: The seven stars are the angelsk of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Таинство седми звезд, яже видел еси на деснице моей, и седмь светилник златых: седмь звезд ангели седми Церквей суть: и седмь светилников, яже видел еси, седмь Церквей суть.
