Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

Павал, воляй Божаю Апостал Езуса Хрыстуса, і Тыматэй —

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

сьвятым у Калёссах і верным братом у Хрыстусе: ласка вам і спакой ад Бога Айца нашага і Усеспадара Езуса Хрыстуса.

We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

Заўсёды молячыся за вас, мы дзякуем Богу й Айцу Езуса Хрыстуса Усеспадара нашага,

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints;

пачуўшы аб веры вашай у Хрыстуса Езуса, ды аб любасьці аб усіх сьвятых,

because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel

дзеля надзеі, чакаючай вас у нябёсах, аб якой чулі ў навучанні Эванэліі праўды,

which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard of it and understood the grace of God in truth;

што дайшла да вас і, як у ва ўсім сьвеце, пладавіта ўзрастае з таго дня, як пачулі й пазналі ласку Божую ў праўдзе,

just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,

ад навучаўшага Эпафра, любага супрацоўніка нашага, а для вас вернага слугу Хрыстусавага.

and he also informed us of your love in the Spirit.

Ён і выявіў нам любасьць вашую ў духу.

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

Таму мы з таго дня, як гэта пачулі, не перастаём за вас маліцца і прасіць, каб вы дайшлі да поўнага пазнання Божае волі ў ва ўсякай мудрасьці й духовым разуменні;

so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

каб паступаць вам спосабам дастойным Бога, у ва ўсім Яму дагаджаючы, прыносячы плод у кажным добрым дзеле ды ўзрастаючы ў спазнанні Бога;

strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously

дужэючы ўсесілаю магуцтва славы Ягонай ва ўсякай цярплівасьці й пагоднай радасьці,

giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

дзякуючы Айцу з радассьцяй, што паклікаў вас да удзелу ў сьветлай спадчыне сьвятых,

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

што вызваліў нас ад улады цемры й перанёс у валадарства наймілейшага свайго Сына,

in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

ў якім маем адкупленне ягонай крывёю і грахоў дараванне.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Ён ёсьць вобразам нявідомага Бога, першародны ўсякага стварэння;

For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through Him and for Him.

у Ім бо створана ўсё на небе й на зямлі, бачнае й нябачнае: ці то троны, ці дзяржавы, ці то валадарствы, ці ўлады, — усё Ім і для Яго ўтворана;

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Ён ёсьць першы за ўсё і ўсё ў Ім трывае.

He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

Ён такжа галава цела, Эклезіі, Ён першародны з мяртвых, так, каб у ва ўсём Яму быць першым,

For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,

Айцу бо даўспадобна было, каб у Ім прабывала ўсякая поўня,

and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.

ды каб празь Яго ўсё міжсобку пагадзіць на зямлі й на небе, ўціхамірыўшы крывёю ягонага крыжа.

And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,

Дый вас самых, што калісь чужымі й варожымі былі праз думкі й нахілы да благіх учынкаў,

yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach —

прыяднаў цяпер у целе сьмерцю свайго Цела, каб зрабіць вас сьвятымі й беззаганнымі перад Сабою;

if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

Толькіж трымайцеся ў веры цьвёрда і стала, не слабнучы ў надзеі Эванэліі, апавяшчэнне якое ўсякаму стварэнню пад небам вы чулі. Ейнаю то я, Павал, стаўся слугою.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions.

Цяпер вось радуюся ў муках за вас і дапаўняю ва ўласным цее тое, чаго шчэ не хапае з Хрыстусавай журбы аб Ягоным целе, гэта знача Эклезіі,

Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,

якое стаўся я слугою з Божага даручэння поўніць сярод вас Божае слова,

that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints,

тайніцу укрытую ад вякоў і ад родаў, цяпержа выяўленую сьвятым Ягоным,

to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

якім воліў Бог аказаць як вялікім ёсьць сярод паганаў багацьце хвалы у гэнай тайніцы, што ёсьць у вас Хрыстус, надзея славы.

We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.

Яго мы прапаведуем, настаўляючы кажнага чалавека і вучачы ўсякае мудрасьці, каб зрабіць дасканалым у Хрыстусе.

For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me.

Над гэтым я і працую, змагаючыся Ягонай сілай, якая дзее ў ва мне магутна.
