Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

Паўла, воляй Божаю Апостал Ісуса Хрыста, і Цімахве́й, брат, —

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

сьвятым і ве́рным братом у Хрысьце́, што ў Калосах: Ласка вам і мір ад Бога Айца нашага і Госпада Ісуса Хрыста.

We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

Дзякуем Богу і Айцу Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста, заўсёды молячыся аб вас,

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints;

пачуўшы аб ве́ры вашай у Хрыста Ісуса і аб любві да ўсіх сьвятых,

because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel

дзеля надзе́і, што прыгатавана вам у нябёсах, аб якой вы ране́й чулі ў слове праўды Эвангельля,

which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard of it and understood the grace of God in truth;

што ёсьць у вас, як і ў-ва ўсім сьве́це, і прыносіць плод, як і між вамі, з таго дня, як вы пачулі і пазналі ласку Божую ў праўдзе,

just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,

як і навучыліся ад Эпафра, умілаванага супрацоўніка нашага, які ёсьць ве́рным за вас слугой Хрыста,

and he also informed us of your love in the Spirit.

які і апавясьціў нас аб вашай любві ў Духу.

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

Дзеля гэтага і мы, з таго дня, як пачулі, не пакідалі маліцца за вас і прасіць, каб вы напаўняліся пазнаньнем волі Яго ў-ва ўсякай мудрасьці і разуме́ньні духоўным,

so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

каб паступалі дасто́йна Бога, у-ва ўсім дагаджаючы Яму, прыносячы плод у кожнай добрай справе і узрастаючы ў пазнаньні Бога,

strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously

дужэючы ўсякаю сілаю па магутнасьці славы Яго на ўсякую цярплівасьць і вялікадушнасьць з радасьцяй,

giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

дзякуючы Айцу, што паклікаў нас да ўчасьця ў спадчыне сьвятых у сьве́тласьці,

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

вызваліў нас ад улады це́мры і перанёс у Царства Сына любві Свае́й,

in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

у Якім мы маем адкупле́ньне крывёю Яго і дараваньне грахоў,

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Які есьць абра́з Бога нявідомага, пярша́к усякага стварэньня;

For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through Him and for Him.

бо Ім створана ўсе, што на нябесах і што на зямлі, бачнае і нябачнае: ці то пасады, ці дзяржавы, ці начальства, ці ўлады, — усе Ім і для Яго ство́рана;

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

і Ён пе́рш за ўсё, і ўсё ў Ім стаіць.

He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

І Ён ёсьць галава це́ла, Царквы́; Ён — пачатак, пярша́к із мёртвых, каб быць Яму ўва ўсім пе́ршым;

For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,

бо ўгодна было (Айцу), каб у Ім жыла ўсякая поўня,

and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.

і каб праз Яго пагадзіць з сабою ўсё, уціхамірыўшы праз Яго, крывёю крыжа Яго, ці тое, што на зямлі, ці тое, што ў нябёсах.

And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,

Дый вас, што былі калісь чужымі і ворагамі праз склоннасьць да благіх дзе́л,

yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach —

цяпе́р пагадзіў у це́ле плоці Яго праз сьме́рць, каб паставіць вас сьвятымі й беззаганнымі і бязьвіннымі перад абліччам Сваім,

if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

калі трываеце ў ве́ры цьвёрда і непарушна, і не адпадаеце ад надзе́і Эвангельля, якое вы чулі, якое абвяшчаеца ўсяму стварэньню пад не́бам, якога я, Паўла, слуга.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions.

Цяпе́р радуюся ў муках маіх за вас і дапаўняю недахват у це́ле маім сумаваньняў Хрыстовых за Яго це́ла, якое есьць Царква,

Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,

якой я стаўся служкаю паводле распарадку Божага, даручанага мне́ для вас, каб выпаўніць слова Божае,

that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints,

тайну, укрытую ад вякоў і ад родаў, цяпе́р жа выяўленую сьвятым Яго,

to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

якім схаце́ў Бог даць пазнаньне, што́ за багацьце славы ў тайне гэнай сярод паганаў, якое ёсьць Хрыстос у вас, надзе́я славы,

We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.

Якога мы абвяшчаем, навучаючы кожнага чалаве́ка і вучачы ўсякае мудрасьці, каб нам прадставіць усякага чалаве́ка дасканалым у Хрысьце́ Ісусе,

For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me.

дзеля чаго я і працую, змагаючыся сілаю Яго, што дзеець у-ва мне́ магутна.
