ГОСПОДЬ сказал Ною: «Войди в ковчег и ты, и вся семья твоя. Я вижу, что из всего поколения этого ты один человек праведный.

And Jehovah said to Noah, Go into the ark, thou and all thy house; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

И возьми с собой чистых животных всякого рода по семь пар, самцов и самок, а от нечистых1 животных — по паре, самца и самку,

Of all clean beasts thou shalt take to thee by sevens, a male and its female; but of the beasts that are not clean two, a male and its female.

и от птиц по семь пар, самцов и самок, чтобы род их сохранить на земле.

Also of the fowl of the heavens by sevens, male and female; to keep seed alive on the face of all the earth.

Ибо еще семь дней, и Я пошлю на землю дождь, который будет идти сорок дней и сорок ночей, и сотру с лица земли всякое живое существо, которое Я создал».

For in yet seven days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living being which I have made will I destroy from the ground.

Ной сделал всё, как повелел ему ГОСПОДЬ.

And Noah did according to all that Jehovah had commanded him.

Было Ною шестьсот лет, когда воды потопа пришли на землю.

And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was on the earth.

И, чтобы спастись от потопа, вошел он в ковчег вместе с сыновьями, женой и женами сыновей.

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

(Из животных чистых и нечистых, из птиц и всех по земле ползающих существ

Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowl, and of everything that creeps on the ground,

по паре, самец и самка, вошли к Ною в ковчег, как Бог повелел ему.)

there came two and two unto Noah into the ark, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.

Семь дней спустя воды потопа пришли на землю.

And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth.

Случилось это в шестисотый год жизни Ноя, в семнадцатый день второго месяца: в этот день разверзлись все источники великой бездны и окна небесные отворились —

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

и хлынул на землю ливень, сорок дней и сорок ночей лился он.

And the pour of rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

В тот самый день Ной вместе с сыновьями: Симом, Хамом, Яфетом, с женой своей и с тремя женами сыновей вошел в ковчег.

On the same day went Noah, and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

Они вошли, а с ними и всякого рода дикие животные, и скот, и всякого рода пресмыкающиеся твари, что по земле ползают, всякого рода птицы, все летающие и крылатые существа —

they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and all fowl after its kind -- every bird of every wing.

все,2 в ком есть дыхание жизни, пара за парой вошли в ковчег к Ною.

And they went to Noah, into the ark, two and two of all flesh, in which was the breath of life.

Пришедшие парами были самец и самка из всех живых существ, как Бог повелел Ною. И ГОСПОДЬ затворил за ним дверь ковчега.

And they that came, came male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him. And Jehovah shut him in.

Сорок дней по всей земле вода прибывала, стало ее так много, что она подняла ковчег, и он оторвался от земли.

And the flood was forty days on the earth. And the waters increased, and bore up the ark; and it was lifted up above the earth.

И плавал ковчег на поверхности поднимающихся вод, которые всё больше затопляли землю.

And the waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark went on the face of the waters.

Они настолько поднялись, что покрыли все самые высокие горы, какие есть под небом;

And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth; and all the high mountains that are under all the heavens were covered.

затопив горы, вода поднялась над ними на пятнадцать локтей.3

Fifteen cubits upward the waters prevailed; and the mountains were covered.

Погибло тогда всякое живое творение, обитавшее на земле: и птицы, и скот, и звери, и все прочие существа, которыми изобиловала земля, и погибли все люди.

And all flesh that moved on the earth expired, fowl as well as cattle, and beasts, and all crawling things which crawl on the earth, and all mankind:

Все обитатели суши, все, в чьих ноздрях было дыхание жизни, умерли.

everything which had in its nostrils the breath of life, of all that was on the dry [land], died.

Так уничтожил Бог4 всё живое, что было на земле, — людей, скот, ползающих по земле тварей и птиц небесных, — всё было истреблено, остался в живых лишь Ной и те, кто был с ним в ковчеге.

And every living being was destroyed that was on the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping things, and fowl of the heavens; and they were destroyed from the earth. And Noah alone remained, and what was with him in the ark.

Сто пятьдесят дней водная стихия господствовала на земле.

And the waters prevailed on the earth a hundred and fifty days.
