Christ, then, having suffered for us in [the] flesh, do ye also arm yourselves with the same mind; for he that has suffered in [the] flesh has done with sin,

Христу убо пострадавшу за ны Плотию, и вы в ту же мысль вооружитеся: зане пострадавый плотию, преста от греха,

no longer to live the rest of [his] time in [the] flesh to men's lusts, but to God's will.

во еже не ктому человеческим похотем, но воли Божией прочее во плоти жити время.

For the time past [is] sufficient [for us] to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, walking in lasciviousness, lusts, wine-drinking, revels, drinkings, and unhallowed idolatries.

Довлеет бо вам мимошедшее время жития, волю языческую творившым, хождшым в нечистотах, в похотех, в мужеложстве, в скотоложстве, в помыслех, в пиянстве, в козлогласованиих, в лихоимании и богомерзких идолослужениих:

Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same sink of corruption, speaking injuriously [of you];

о немже дивятся, не сходящымся вам в тоже блуда разлияние, хуляще:

who shall render account to him who is ready to judge [the] living and [the] dead.

иже воздадят слово готову сущему судити живым и мертвым.

For to this [end] were the glad tidings preached to [the] dead also, that they might be judged, as regards men, after [the] flesh, but live, as regards God, after [the] Spirit.

На се бо и мертвым благовестися, да суд убо приимут по человеку плотию, поживут же по Бозе Духом.

But the end of all things is drawn nigh: be sober therefore, and be watchful unto prayers;

Всем же кончина приближися. Уцеломудритеся убо и трезвитеся в молитвах.

but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;

Прежде же всех друг ко другу любовь прилежну имейте, зане любовь покрывает множество грехов.

hospitable one to another, without murmuring;

Страннолюбцы друг ко другу, без роптании.

each according as he has received a gift, ministering it to one another, as good stewards of [the] various grace of God.

Кийждо якоже прият дарование, между себе сим служаще, яко добрии строителие различныя благодати Божия.

If any one speak -- as oracles of God; if any one minister -- as of strength which God supplies; that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the might for the ages of ages. Amen.

Аще кто глаголет, яко словеса Божия: аще кто служит, яко от крепости, юже подает Бог: да о всем славится Бог Иисус Христом, емуже есть слава и держава во веки веков. Аминь.

Beloved, take not [as] strange the fire [of persecution] which has taken place amongst you for [your] trial, as if a strange thing was happening to you;

Возлюбленнии, не дивитеся еже в вас раждежению ко искушению вам бываему, яко чужду вам случающуся:

but as ye have share in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, that in the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exultation.

но понеже приобщаетеся Христовым страстем, радуйтеся, яко да и в явление славы его возрадуетеся веселящеся.

If ye are reproached in [the] name of Christ, blessed [are ye]; for the [Spirit] of glory and the Spirit of God rests upon you: [on their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.]

Аще укоряеми бываете о имени Христове, блажени есте яко славы и Божий Дух на вас почивает: онеми убо хулится, а вами прославляется.

Let none of you suffer indeed as murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or as overseer of other people's matters;

Да не кто убо от вас постраждет яко убийца, или яко тать, или яко злодей, или яко чуждопосетитель:

but if as a christian, let him not be ashamed, but glorify God in this name.

аще ли же яко Христианин, да не стыдится, да прославляет же Бога в части сей.

For the time of having the judgment begin from the house of God [is come]; but if first from us, what [shall be] the end of those who obey not the glad tidings of God?

Яко время начати суд от дому Божия: аще же прежде от вас, кая кончина противящымся Божию Евангелию?

And if the righteous is difficultly saved, where shall the impious and [the] sinner appear?

И аще праведник едва спасется, нечестивый и грешный где явится?

Wherefore also let them who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing to a faithful Creator.

Темже и страждущии по воли Божией, яко верну зиждителю да предадят душы своя во благотворении.
