Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: “I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into the sea.

Тогда Моисей и израильский народ запели песнь Господу: «Воспою Господа, Он совершил великое: сбросил в море и коня и всадника.

“The Lord is my strength and my defensea; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Господь — моя сила, Он спасает меня, Ему пою я хвалебные песни предков, и я почитаю Его.

The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name.

Господь — великий Воин, имя Его — Господь.

Pharaoh’s chariots and his army he has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh’s officers are drowned in the Red Sea.b

Он сбросил воинов и колесницы фараона в море, лучшие из лучших воинов фараона утонули в Красном море.

The deep waters have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.

Скрыли их глубокие воды, и они словно камни пошли ко дну.

Your right hand, Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand, Lord, shattered the enemy.

Десница Твоя поражает силой своей, Господи, ею сокрушил Ты врага.

“In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble.

Величием славы Своей сокрушил Ты восставших против Тебя, гнев Твой истребил их словно огонь, сжигающий солому.

By the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up. The surging waters stood up like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.

Ветер, который Ты послал в гневе Своём, высоко поднял воды, и стали текущие воды сплошной стеной, и отвердела пучина моря.

The enemy boasted, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.’

Враг сказал: „Я погонюсь за ними и поймаю их, отберу их богатства, всё отберу у них мечом своим, всё возьму себе”.

But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

Но Ты подул на них, и море их покрыло; словно свинец утонули они в глубинах морских.

Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you — majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

Кто из богов подобен Господу? Нет богов, подобных Тебе! Ты — дивно свят, Ты — необыкновенно могуществен, Ты творишь великие чудеса!

“You stretch out your right hand, and the earth swallows your enemies.

Ты мог бы мановением Своей правой руки уничтожить мир!

In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.

Но милостью Своей Ты вёл спасённый Тобой народ и силою Своей повёл его в Свою святую землю.

The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people of Philistia.

Услышав об этом, устрашатся другие народы. Задрожат от страха вожди филистимлян,

The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, the peoplec of Canaan will melt away;

страх охватит вождей Едома и Моава, утратит храбрость народ Ханаана.

terror and dread will fall on them. By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone — until your people pass by, Lord, until the people you boughtd pass by.

Все эти народы преисполнятся страха, увидев Твою силу, и замрут словно камни, пока не пройдёт народ Господний, пока не пройдёт народ, созданный Тобой.

You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance — the place, Lord, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established.

Господи, Ты приведёшь Твой народ к Своей горе, Ты позволишь ему жить около того места, которое подготовил Ты для Своего престола. Ты сам установишь Своё святилище, Владыка мой!

“The Lord reigns for ever and ever.”

Господь будет царствовать во веки веков!»

When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemene went into the sea, the Lord brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.

Именно так всё и случилось! И кони, и всадники, и колесницы фараона вошли в море, и Господь обрушил на них сверху все воды морские! А израильский народ перешёл море по суше.

Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.

Затем сестра Аарона, пророчица Мариамь, взяла тамбурин и стала вместе с женщинами петь и танцевать,

Miriam sang to them: “Sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into the sea.”

повторяя слова: «Воспойте Господа! Он свершил великое, сбросив в море и коня, и всадника…»

Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.

Моисей увёл израильский народ от Красного моря в пустыню Сур. Израильтяне шли по пустыне три дня и не могли найти воду.

When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.f)

Через три дня они пришли в Мерру. Там была вода, но она оказалась слишком горькой на вкус, потому и было названо это место Меррой.

So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”

И стал народ жаловаться, говоря Моисею: «Что же нам пить?»

Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.

Моисей воззвал к Господу, и Господь указал ему дерево, и, когда Моисей погрузил это дерево в воду, она стала пригодной для питья. На этом месте Господь дал народу Израиля Свой закон и заповеди и испытал их веру.

He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”

«Вы должны повиноваться Господу, Богу вашему, — сказал Господь, — должны исполнять угодное Ему. Если будете исполнять все уставы и законы Господние, вы не пострадаете от тех болезней, которыми Я поразил египтян. Я — Господь, целитель ваш!»

Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.

Затем они пришли в Елим, где было двенадцать источников воды и семьдесят финиковых пальм, и разбили лагерь около воды.
