The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt,

Когда Моисей и Аарон ещё находились в Египте, Господь обратился к ним с такими словами:

“This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.

«Пусть этот месяц будет для вас первым месяцем года.

Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamba for his family, one for each household.

Вот наказ всей общине израильтян: десятого числа этого месяца каждый должен взять себе одного ягнёнка для своей семьи.

If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat.

Если семья так мала, что не сможет съесть целого ягнёнка, пусть позовут соседей и разделят с ними еду. Мяса ягнёнка должно хватить на всех.

The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.

Этот ягнёнок должен быть совершенно здоровым годовалым животным мужского пола, барашком или козлёнком.

Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.

Пусть животное остаётся у вас до четырнадцатого дня этого месяца. В тот день, как только наступят сумерки, вся израильская община должна заколоть этих животных,

Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.

собрать их кровь и помазать ею косяки и перекладины дверей в тех домах, где израильтяне будут есть мясо этих животных.

That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without yeast.

В ту ночь вы должны зажарить ягнёнка и съесть всё мясо, приправляя его горькими травами и заедая пресным хлебом.

Do not eat the meat raw or boiled in water, but roast it over a fire — with the head, legs and internal organs.

Не ешьте мясо ягнёнка сырым и не варите его в воде, а зажарьте целиком на огне. Зажарьте также голову, ноги и все внутренности, прежде чем их съесть.

Do not leave any of it till morning; if some is left till morning, you must burn it.

В эту ночь вы должны съесть всё мясо, а если что-то останется до утра, то сожгите все остатки на огне.

This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover.

Когда будете есть мясо, вы должны быть полностью одеты, как будто собрались в дорогу: на вас должна быть обувь, в руке — дорожный посох, и есть вы должны второпях, потому что это будет Пасха Господняя.

“On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.

Сегодня ночью Я пройду по Египту и убью всех первенцев, людей и животных, и произведу суд над всеми богами Египта. Я — Господь.

The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

Кровь же на ваших домах будет для Меня особым знаком: увидев кровь, Я обойду ваши дома стороной. Всё плохое Я причиню только египетскому народу, вас же не поразит ни одна из этих страшных болезней.

“This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord — a lasting ordinance.

Поэтому вы навсегда запомните сегодняшний день — это будет ваш особый праздник, и, отмечая его, потомки ваши будут вовеки чтить Господа.

For seven days you are to eat bread made without yeast. On the first day remove the yeast from your houses, for whoever eats anything with yeast in it from the first day through the seventh must be cut off from Israel.

В этот праздник вы будете есть пресный хлеб на протяжении семи дней. В самый первый день уберите всё квасное из своих домов, и никто не должен есть ничего, замешанного на дрожжах полных семь дней, а если кто поест квасное, вы должны отделить его от остальных израильтян.

On the first day hold a sacred assembly, and another one on the seventh day. Do no work at all on these days, except to prepare food for everyone to eat; that is all you may do.

В первый и в последний день праздника будут святые собрания. В эти дни вы не должны исполнять никакую работу, за исключением приготовления еды.

“Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread, because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt. Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come.

Вы должны помнить праздник Пресных Хлебов, потому что в этот день Я вывел ополчениями весь ваш народ из Египта. Так вот, все ваши потомки должны помнить этот день. Это — закон, который сохранится навечно.

In the first month you are to eat bread made without yeast, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day.

Начиная с вечера четырнадцатого дня первого месяца вы будете есть пресный хлеб, и это будет продолжаться до вечера двадцать первого дня того же месяца.

For seven days no yeast is to be found in your houses. And anyone, whether foreigner or native-born, who eats anything with yeast in it must be cut off from the community of Israel.

В течение семи дней в ваших домах не должно быть ничего замешанного на дрожжах. Всякий, кто в это время будет есть квасное, будь то чужеземец или житель Израиля, должен быть отделён от других израильтян.

Eat nothing made with yeast. Wherever you live, you must eat unleavened bread.”

В этот праздник вы не должны есть квасное, а нужно есть только пресный хлеб, где бы вы ни были».

Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb.

Моисей созвал старейшин и сказал им: «Возьмите по ягнёнку для своих семейств и заколите ягнят на Пасху.

Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning.

Соберите также стебли иссопа в пучки, окуните их в чаши с кровью и помажьте кровью косяки и перекладины дверей. Никто не должен выходить из дома до утра.

When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.

Когда Господь пройдёт по Египту, убивая первенцев, Он увидит кровь на косяках и перекладинах дверей и защитит тот дом. Он не допустит, чтобы Губитель вошёл в ваши дома и повредил вам.

“Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants.

Вы должны помнить этот наказ, он будет законом для вас и ваших потомков навеки.

When you enter the land that the Lord will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony.

Не забывайте соблюдать Мой наказ, даже когда придёте в ту землю, которую Господь даёт вам.

And when your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’

Когда ваши дети спросят вас: „Зачем мы исполняем этот обряд?” —

then tell them, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’ ” Then the people bowed down and worshiped.

вы скажете: „Эта Пасха — в честь Господа, так как, когда мы были в Египте, Господь обошёл стороной дома Израиля. Всевышний убил египтян, но спас народ в наших домах”». Затем народ склонился перед Господом и поклонился Ему.

The Israelites did just what the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron.

Вот что Господь повелел Моисею и Аарону, и народ Израиля исполнил наказ Господа.

At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.

В полночь Господь убил всех первенцев в Египте: от сына первенца фараона, владыки Египта, до сына первенца узника, находившегося в темнице. Погиб и весь перворождённый скот.

Pharaoh and all his officials and all the Egyptians got up during the night, and there was loud wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone dead.

В ту ночь в каждом египетском доме кто-то умер, и громко рыдали фараон, и его правители, и весь народ Египта.

During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the Lord as you have requested.

В ту же ночь фараон призвал Моисея и Аарона и сказал: «Поднимитесь и уходите из моего народа, как и просили. Идите и совершите служение Господу!

Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me.”

Можете взять с собой всех своих овец и скот, как вы и хотели. Идите! И меня также благословите!»

The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country. “For otherwise,” they said, “we will all die!”

И все египтяне тоже просили их поскорее уйти, умоляя: «Если вы не уйдёте, мы все умрём!»

So the people took their dough before the yeast was added, and carried it on their shoulders in kneading troughs wrapped in clothing.

У израильтян не было времени даже положить закваску в хлеб, они просто завернули квашни в одежду и понесли их на плечах.

The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing.

Затем израильтяне сделали то, что велел Моисей: они пошли к своим соседям-египтянам и стали просить у них одежду и изделия из серебра и золота.

The Lord had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians.

Господь сделал так, что египтяне по-доброму отнеслись к израильскому народу и отдали ему свои богатства.

The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Sukkoth. There were about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children.

Израильский народ отправился из Раамсеса в Сокхоф; всего же израильтян было около 600 000 мужчин, не считая детей.

Many other people went up with them, and also large droves of livestock, both flocks and herds.

У них было великое множество овец, скота и всякого другого добра. С ними также отправилось много людей, которые принадлежали к другим народам. Эти люди не были израильтянами, но они ушли из Египта вместе с ними.

With the dough the Israelites had brought from Egypt, they baked loaves of unleavened bread. The dough was without yeast because they had been driven out of Egypt and did not have time to prepare food for themselves.

У народа не было времени положить закваску в хлеб, но поскольку они не приготовили себе никакой особой еды на дорогу, им пришлось испечь хлеб без закваски.

Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egyptb was 430 years.

Народ Израиля прожил в Египте 430 лет,

At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the Lord’s divisions left Egypt.

а через 430 лет, день в день, всё Господнее ополчение покинуло Египет.

Because the Lord kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the Lord for the generations to come.

И потому эта ночь особая — ночь, когда люди вспоминают, что сделал Господь. И весь израильский народ будет помнить эту ночь во веки веков.

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “These are the regulations for the Passover meal: “No foreigner may eat it.

Господь сказал Моисею и Аарону: «Вот правила Пасхи: никакой чужестранец не должен участвовать в пасхальной трапезе.

Any slave you have bought may eat it after you have circumcised him,

Если человек купит раба и сделает ему обрезание, то раб может есть пасхальную еду.

but a temporary resident or a hired worker may not eat it.

Если же этот человек живёт в вашей стране или его наняли работать на вас, то он не должен участвовать в пасхальной трапезе.

“It must be eaten inside the house; take none of the meat outside the house. Do not break any of the bones.

Ешьте эту еду в одном доме, ничего из этой еды не выносите из дома и не ломайте кости ягнёнка.

The whole community of Israel must celebrate it.

Вся израильская община должна исполнять этот обряд.

“A foreigner residing among you who wants to celebrate the Lord’s Passover must have all the males in his household circumcised; then he may take part like one born in the land. No uncircumcised male may eat it.

Если с вами живёт неизраильтянин и хочет разделить с вами Пасху Господню, то ему следует сделать обрезание, тогда он станет гражданином Израиля и сможет разделить с вами эту трапезу. Но если человек не обрезан, то он не может есть пасхальную еду.

The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner residing among you.”

Эти правила одинаковы для всех, будь то гражданин Израиля или неизраильтянин, живущий в вашей стране».

All the Israelites did just what the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.

Весь народ Израиля повиновался наказу, данному Господом Моисею и Аарону.

And on that very day the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.

И в тот же самый день Господь вывел весь израильский народ из Египетской земли по ополчениям.
