І прыйшоў адзін з сямі анёлаў, якія мелі сем чар, і прамовіў да мяне, кажучы: «Падыдзі, пакажу табе знішчэнне вялікай распусніцы, што сядзіць над водамі многімі,

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying [a]to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,

з якой чужаложылі многія цары зямлі, і жыхары зямлі ўпіваліся віном распуснасці яе».

with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

І перанёс мяне ў духу ў пустыню. І ўбачыў я жанчыну, якая сядзела на чырвоным зверы, поўным імён блюзнячых, які меў сем галоў і дзесяць рагоў.

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Жанчына ж была ўбраная ў пурпур і багата ўпрыгожаная золатам, дарагімі камянямі і перламі, і ў руцэ сваёй трымала залатую чару, поўную брыдоты і нечыстотаў сваёй распусты,

The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of [b]her fornication.

і на сваім чале мела напісанае імя: «Таямніца: Вялікі Бабілон, маці распусты і агіды зямлі».

And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,THE MOTHER OF HARLOTSAND OF THE ABOMINATIONSOF THE EARTH.

І бачыў я гэтую жанчыну п’янаю крывёй святых і крывёй мучанікаў Ісусавых. І здзівіўся, калі ўбачыў яе, вялікім здзіўленнем.

I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

І анёл сказаў мне: «Чаго дзівішся? Я табе выкажу таямніцу жанчыны і звера, што яе носіць, які мае сем галоў і дзесяць рагоў.

But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the [c]mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

Звер, якога ты бачыў, быў, і няма ўжо яго, і зноў выйдзе з бяздоння і пойдзе на загубу. На від звера, які быў, і якога ўжо няма, і які зноў з’явіцца, задзівяцца ўсе жыхары зямлі, імёны якіх ад заснавання свету не запісаны ў кнізе жыцця.

The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to [d]perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and [e]yet is.

Вось, тут розум, які мае мудрасць. Сем галоў — гэта сем узгоркаў, на якіх сядзіць жанчына, і сем цароў.

“Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.

Пяць упала, адзін трывае, а іншы яшчэ не прыйшоў і, калі прыйдзе, належыць яму кароткі час прабыць.

There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time.

І звер, які быў і якога ўжо няма, ёсць восьмы, і з сямі паходзіць, і ідзе на загубу.

The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to [f]perdition.

І дзесяць рагоў, якія ты бачыў, гэта дзесяць цароў, якія яшчэ не атрымалі ўлады, але атрымаюць царскую ўладу ў адзін час са зверам.

“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.

У іх адзін намер; і моц і ўладу сваю аддадуць зверу.

These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.

Яны будуць ваяваць супраць Ягняці, і Ягня пераможа іх, бо Ён — Госпад пануючых і Валадар валадароў; і разам з Ім пакліканыя, і выбраныя, і верныя».

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

І кажа ён мне: «Воды, што ты бачыў, дзе сядзіць распусніца, — гэта народы, і натоўпы, і плямёны, і мовы.

Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.

Дзесяць жа рагоў, што ты бачыў у звера, гэта тыя, што будуць мець у нянавісці распусніцу, і знішчаць яе, і аголяць яе, і цела яе з’ядуць, і спаляць яе агнём.

And the ten horns which you [g]saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

Бог бо даў ім у сэрцы іх, каб выканалі яны тое, што ім наканавана, і выканалі аднадумна, і аддалі царства сваё зверу, аж пакуль не споўняцца словы Божыя.

For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.

І жанчына, якую ты бачыў, — гэта вялікі горад, які мае панаванне над царамі зямлі».

And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
