The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Пе́рвую кни́гу написа́л я к тебе́, Феофи́л, о всём, что Иису́с де́лал и чему́ учи́л от нача́ла

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

до того́ дня, в кото́рый Он вознёсся, дав Святы́м Ду́хом повеле́ния Апо́столам, кото́рых Он избра́л,

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

кото́рым и яви́л Себя́ живы́м, по страда́нии Своём, со мно́гими ве́рными доказа́тельствами, в продолже́ние сорока́ дней явля́ясь им и говоря́ о Ца́рствии Бо́жием.

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

И, собра́в их, Он повеле́л им: не отлуча́йтесь из Иерусали́ма, но жди́те обе́щанного от Отца́, о чём вы слы́шали от Меня́,

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

и́бо Иоа́нн крести́л водо́ю, а вы, че́рез не́сколько дней по́сле сего́, бу́дете крещены́ Ду́хом Святы́м.

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Посему́ они́, сойдя́сь, спра́шивали Его́, говоря́: не в сие́ ли вре́мя, Го́споди, восстановля́ешь Ты ца́рство Изра́илю?

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Он же сказа́л им: не ва́ше де́ло знать времена́ и́ли сро́ки, кото́рые Оте́ц положи́л в Свое́й вла́сти,

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

но вы при́мете си́лу, когда́ сойдёт на вас Дух Свято́й; и бу́дете Мне свиде́телями в Иерусали́ме и во всей Иуде́е и Сама́рии и да́же до кра́я земли́.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Сказа́в сие́, Он подня́лся в глаза́х их, и о́блако взя́ло Его́ из ви́да их.

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

И когда́ они́ смотре́ли на не́бо, во вре́мя восхожде́ния Его́, вдруг предста́ли им два му́жа в бе́лой оде́жде

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

и сказа́ли: мужи́ Галиле́йские! что вы стои́те и смо́трите на не́бо? Сей Иису́с, вознёсшийся от вас на не́бо, придёт таки́м же о́бразом, как вы ви́дели Его́ восходя́щим на не́бо.

Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

Тогда́ они́ возврати́лись в Иерусали́м с горы́, называ́емой Елео́н, кото́рая нахо́дится близ Иерусали́ма, в расстоя́нии суббо́тнего пути́.

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

И, придя́, взошли́ в го́рницу, где и пребыва́ли, Пётр и Иа́ков, Иоа́нн и Андре́й, Фили́пп и Фома́, Варфоломе́й и Матфе́й, Иа́ков Алфе́ев и Си́мон Зило́т, и Иу́да, брат Иа́кова.

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Все они́ единоду́шно пребыва́ли в моли́тве и моле́нии, с не́которыми жёнами и Мари́ею, Мате́рию Иису́са, и с бра́тьями Его́.

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

И в те дни Пётр, став посреди́ ученико́в, сказа́л

Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

(бы́ло же собра́ние челове́к о́коло ста двадцати́): мужи́ бра́тия! Надлежа́ло испо́лниться тому́, что в Писа́нии предрёк Дух Свято́й уста́ми Дави́да об Иу́де, бы́вшем вожде́ тех, кото́рые взя́ли Иису́са;

For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

он был сопричи́слен к нам и получи́л жре́бий служе́ния сего́;

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

но приобрёл зе́млю непра́ведною мздо́ю, и, когда́ низри́нулся, рассе́лось чре́во его́, и вы́пали все вну́тренности его́;

And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

и э́то сде́лалось изве́стно всем жи́телям Иерусали́ма, так что земля́ та на оте́чественном их наре́чии на́звана Акелда́ма, то́ есть «земля́ кро́ви».

For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

В кни́ге же Псалмо́в напи́сано: «да бу́дет двор его́ пуст, и да не бу́дет живу́щего в нём»; и: «досто́инство его́ да прии́мет друго́й».

Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

Ита́к, на́добно, что́бы оди́н из тех, кото́рые находи́лись с на́ми во всё вре́мя, когда́ пребыва́л и обраща́лся с на́ми Госпо́дь Иису́с,

Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

начина́я от креще́ния Иоа́ннова до того́ дня, в кото́рый Он вознёсся от нас, был вме́сте с на́ми свиде́телем воскресе́ния Его́.

And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

И поста́вили двои́х: Ио́сифа, называ́емого Варса́вою, кото́рый про́зван Иу́стом, и Матфи́я;

And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

и помоли́лись и сказа́ли: Ты, Го́споди, Сердцеве́дец всех, покажи́ из сих двои́х одного́, кото́рого Ты избра́л

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

приня́ть жре́бий сего́ служе́ния и Апо́стольства, от кото́рого отпа́л Иу́да, что́бы идти́ в своё ме́сто.

And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

И бро́сили о них жре́бий, и вы́пал жре́бий Матфи́ю, и он сопричи́слен к оди́ннадцати Апо́столам.
