Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.

После этого поставил Господь еще Семьдесят [двух] и разослал их по двое пред Собою в каждый город и в каждое место, куда намеревался идти Сам,

And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

и говорил им: «Велика жатва, а работников мало; так просите Хозяина жатвы, чтобы Он выслал работников на жатву Свою.

“Go; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.

Идите; вот, Я посылаю вас, как ягнят в среду волков.

“Carry no money belt, no bag, no shoes; and greet no one on the way.

Не носите с собой ни мешка, ни сумы, ни обуви, и никого в пути не приветствуйте.

“Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’

"А в какой дом бы вы ни пришли, прежде всего говорите: "Мир этому дому!"

“If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.

И если будет там сын мира, мир ваш низойдет на него, а если нет, мир ваш возвратится на вас.

“Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they give you; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house.

И в этом доме вы оставайтесь, ешьте и пейте все, что у них есть, ибо работник заслуживает платы; из дома в дом не переходите.

“Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat what is set before you;

И в какой бы город вы ни пришли, если вас примут, ешьте, что дадут,

and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

"исцеляйте местных больных и говорите жителям: "Близко к вам Царство Божие!"

“But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,

А если в каком-либо городе вас не примут, выйдите на улицы его и скажите:

‘Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’

"Даже прах города вашего, приставший к нашим ногам, мы отрясаем и возвращаем вам. И все же знайте: Царство Божие близко!"

“I say to you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.

Говорю вам, Содому в оный День придется легче, чем городу тому.

“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles had been performed in Tyre and Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Горе тебе, Хоразин! Горе тебе, Вифсаида! Ведь если бы в Тире и Сидоне совершены были чудеса, какие совершились у вас, то они давно бы принесли покаяние, сидя в рубище и пепле.

“But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

Да, Тиру и Сидону легче придется на Суде, нежели вам!

“And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades!

И ты, Капернаум, до неба ли превознесешься? До преисподней будешь ты низвержен.

“The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

Тот, кто слушает вас, слушает Меня, и кто отвергает вас, отвергает Меня, а кто отвергает Меня, отвергает Того, Кто послал Меня».

The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

Между тем Семьдесят возвратились в радости и говорили: «Господи, даже бесы покорны нам во имя Твое!»

And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.

А Он сказал им: «Я видел, как сатана, словно молния, пал с неба.

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.

Вот, Я дал вам власть попирать змей и скорпионов и всякую вражью силу, и ничто не причинит вам вреда.

“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

Однако радуйтесь не тому, что духи вам покорны, а тому, что имена ваши написаны на небесах».

At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.

И в этот же час Он исполнился ликованием от Духа Святого и сказал: «Благодарю Тебя, Отче, Господи неба и земли, что Ты сокрыл от мудрых и разумных то, что открыл Ты младенцам! Да, Отче, ибо так было Тебе благоугодно.

“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”

Все вверено Мне Отцом Моим, и никто не знает, кто есть Сын, кроме Отца, и кто есть Отец, кроме Сына — и того, кому Сын пожелает открыть».

Turning to the disciples, He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see,

И, обернувшись к ученикам, сказал Он им одним: «Блаженны глаза, видящие то, что видите вы!

for I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them.”

Ибо говорю вам: многие пророки и цари хотели увидеть то, что видите вы, — и не увидели; и услышать то, что слышите вы, — и не услышали».

And a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

И вот некий учитель Закона встал и сказал, желая испытать Его: «Учитель, что мне делать, чтобы получить в удел жизнь вечную?»

And He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?”

Он же сказал ему: «В Законе что написано? Как ты читаешь?»

And he answered, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”

Тот сказал в ответ: «Возлюби Господа, Бога твоего, всем сердцем твоим, и всей душой твоею, и всей силой твоею, и всем рассуждением твоим; и ближнего твоего, как самого себя».

And He said to him, “You have answered correctly; DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE.”

А Иисус сказал ему: «Ответил ты правильно; поступай так, и будешь жить».

But wishing to justify himself, he said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

Но тот, желая оправдать себя, сказал Иисусу: «А кто мне ближний?»

Jesus replied and said, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went away leaving him half dead.

На это Иисус ответил: «Шел человек из Иерусалима в Иерихон и попался разбойникам; те раздели его, изранили и ушли, оставив полумертвым.

“And by chance a priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

Некий священник случайно спускался той же дорогой, увидел его — и прошел мимо.

“Likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

Также и левит, придя на это место, увидел его — и прошел мимо.

“But a Samaritan, who was on a journey, came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,

А некий самаритянин, шедший тем путем,

and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care of him.

подошел и, увидев его, от сердца сжалился; наклонясь, он омыл ему раны вином, помазал оливковым маслом, перевязал, а после, погрузив на собственного осла, отвез его в гостиницу и там принял на себя заботы о нем.

“On the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return I will repay you.’

А на другой день он вынул два динария, вручил хозяину гостиницы и сказал: «Позаботься о нем, а если тебе доведется потратить больше, на обратном пути все тебе выплачу».

“Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers’ hands?”

Кто же из этих трех, по твоему мнению, оказался ближним для пострадавшего от разбойников?»

And he said, “The one who showed mercy toward him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do the same.”

А тот сказал: «Сотворивший для него дело милосердия». И сказал ему Иисус: «Ступай, и поступай так же».

Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.

А когда были они в пути, зашел Он в одно селение, где некая женщина по имени Марфа приняла Его у себя дома;

She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word.

и была у нее сестра, которую звали Мариам, и она, сев у ног Господа, слушала Его речи.

But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.”

А Марфа была вся в трудах служения. И вот она подошла и сказала: «Господи, Тебе и дела нет, что сестра оставила на меня одну все заботы? Скажи ей, чтобы она мне помогла!»

But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things;

И сказал Господь ей в ответ: «Марфа, Марфа! Ты хлопочешь и беспокоишься о многом,

but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

между тем как нужно только одно. А Мариам выбрала себе благую долю, которую у нее не отнимут».
