После мора Господь говорил с Моисеем и священником Елеазаром, сыном Аарона.

After the plague had ended,a the LORD said to Moses and to Eleazar son of Aaron the priest,

«Пересчитайте израильский народ, — сказал Он. — Пересчитайте всех от двадцати лет и старше и перечислите по семействам всех мужчин, которые могут служить в израильской армии».

“From the whole community of Israel, record the names of all the warriors by their families. List all the men twenty years old or older who are able to go to war.”

В то время народ поставил стан в Моаве, в долине Иордана у Иерихона. И вот Моисей и священник Елеазар, обратившись к народу, сказали:

So there on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest issued these instructions to the leaders of Israel:

«Пересчитайте всех мужчин от двадцати лет и старше, как повелел Моисею Господь». Вот перечень израильского народа, вышедшего из Египта:

“List all the men of Israel twenty years old and older, just as the LORD commanded Moses.” This is the record of all the descendants of Israel who came out of Egypt.

в роду Рувима, первенца Израиля: от Ханоха — поколение Ханоха; от Фаллу — поколение Фаллу;

These were the clans descended from the sons of Reuben, Jacob’sb oldest son: The Hanochite clan, named after their ancestor Hanoch. The Palluite clan, named after their ancestor Pallu.

от Есрома — поколение Есрома; от Харми — поколение Харми.

The Hezronite clan, named after their ancestor Hezron. The Carmite clan, named after their ancestor Carmi.

Такие поколения были в роду Рувима, общее же число мужчин в них было 43 730.

These were the clans of Reuben. Their registered troops numbered 43,730.

У Елиава, сына Фаллы,

Pallu was the ancestor of Eliab,

было три сына: Немуил, Дафан и Авирон, те самые Дафан и Авирон, которые восстали против Моисея и Аарона и последовали за Кореем, когда он восстал против Господа.

and Eliab was the father of Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. This Dathan and Abiram are the same community leaders who conspired with Korah against Moses and Aaron, rebelling against the LORD.

Тогда разверзлась земля и поглотила Корея и всех его сообщников, и умерло 250 человек! Это было предупреждением всему израильскому народу.

But the earth opened up its mouth and swallowed them with Korah, and fire devoured 250 of their followers. This served as a warning to the entire nation of Israel.

Другие же члены семьи Корея не умерли.

However, the sons of Korah did not die that day.

Поколения рода Симеона: от Немуила — поколение Немуила; от Иамина — поколение Иамина; от Иахина — поколение Иахина;

These were the clans descended from the sons of Simeon: The Jemuelite clan, named after their ancestor Jemuel.c The Jaminite clan, named after their ancestor Jamin. The Jakinite clan, named after their ancestor Jakin.

от Зары — поколение Зары; от Саула — поколение Саула.

The Zoharite clan, named after their ancestor Zohar.d The Shaulite clan, named after their ancestor Shaul.

Такие поколения были в роду Симеона, общее же число мужчин в них было 22 200.

These were the clans of Simeon. Their registered troops numbered 22,200.

Поколения рода Гада: от Цефона — поколение Цефона; от Хаггия — поколение Хаггия; от Шуния — поколение Шуния;

These were the clans descended from the sons of Gad: The Zephonite clan, named after their ancestor Zephon. The Haggite clan, named after their ancestor Haggi. The Shunite clan, named after their ancestor Shuni.

от Озния — поколение Озния; от Ерия — поколение Ерия;

The Oznite clan, named after their ancestor Ozni. The Erite clan, named after their ancestor Eri.

от Арода — поколение Арода; от Арелия — поколение Арелия.

The Arodite clan, named after their ancestor Arodi.e The Arelite clan, named after their ancestor Areli.

Такие поколения были в роду Гада, общее же число мужчин в них было 40 500.

These were the clans of Gad. Their registered troops numbered 40,500.

Поколения рода Иуды (два сына Иуды, Ир и Онан, умерли в Ханаане):

Judah had two sons, Er and Onan, who had died in the land of Canaan.

от Салы — поколение Салы; от Фареса — поколение Фареса; от Зары — поколение Зары.

These were the clans descended from Judah’s surviving sons: The Shelanite clan, named after their ancestor Shelah. The Perezite clan, named after their ancestor Perez. The Zerahite clan, named after their ancestor Zerah.

Потомки в роду Фареса: от Есрома — поколение Есрома; от Хамула — поколение Хамула.

These were the subclans descended from the Perezites: The Hezronites, named after their ancestor Hezron. The Hamulites, named after their ancestor Hamul.

Такие поколения были в роду Иуды, общее же число мужчин в них было 76 500.

These were the clans of Judah. Their registered troops numbered 76,500.

Поколения в роду Иссахара: от Фолы — поколение Фолы; от Фувы — поколение Фувы;

These were the clans descended from the sons of Issachar: The Tolaite clan, named after their ancestor Tola. The Puite clan, named after their ancestor Puah.f

от Иашува — поколение Иашува; от Шимрона — поколение Шимрона.

The Jashubite clan, named after their ancestor Jashub. The Shimronite clan, named after their ancestor Shimron.

Такие поколения были в роду Иссахара, общее же число мужчин в них было 64 300.

These were the clans of Issachar. Their registered troops numbered 64,300.

Поколения в роду Завулона: от Середа — поколение Середа; от Елона — поколение Елона; от Иахлеила — поколение Иахлеила.

These were the clans descended from the sons of Zebulun: The Seredite clan, named after their ancestor Sered. The Elonite clan, named after their ancestor Elon. The Jahleelite clan, named after their ancestor Jahleel.

Такие поколения были в роду Завулона, общее же число мужчин было 60 500.

These were the clans of Zebulun. Their registered troops numbered 60,500.

У Иосифа было два сына, Манассия и Ефрем, от каждого сына пошёл род с собственными поколениями.

Two clans were descended from Joseph through Manasseh and Ephraim.

Поколения Манассии: от Махира, отца Галаада, — поколение Махира; от Галаада — поколение Галаада.

These were the clans descended from Manasseh: The Makirite clan, named after their ancestor Makir. The Gileadite clan, named after their ancestor Gilead, Makir’s son.

Поколения Галаада: от Иезера — поколение Иезера; от Хелека — поколение Хелека;

These were the subclans descended from the Gileadites: The Iezerites, named after their ancestor Iezer. The Helekites, named after their ancestor Helek.

от Асриила — поколение Асриила; от Сихема — поколение Сихема;

The Asrielites, named after their ancestor Asriel. The Shechemites, named after their ancestor Shechem.

от Шемида — поколение Шемида; от Хефера — поколение Хефера.

The Shemidaites, named after their ancestor Shemida. The Hepherites, named after their ancestor Hepher.

У Салпаада, сына Хефера, не было сыновей, а только дочери, имена же дочерей Салпаада: Махла, Ноа, Хогла, Милка и Фирца.

(One of Hepher’s descendants, Zelophehad, had no sons, but his daughters’ names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.)

Такие поколения были в роду Манассии, общее же число мужчин в них было 52 700.

These were the clans of Manasseh. Their registered troops numbered 52,700.

Поколения в роду Ефрема: от Шутелы — поколение Шутелы; от Бекера — поколение Бекера; от Тахана — поколение Тахана;

These were the clans descended from the sons of Ephraim: The Shuthelahite clan, named after their ancestor Shuthelah. The Bekerite clan, named after their ancestor Beker. The Tahanite clan, named after their ancestor Tahan.

от Арана, сына Шутелы — поколение Арана.

This was the subclan descended from the Shuthelahites: The Eranites, named after their ancestor Eran.

Такие поколения были в роду Ефрема, общее же число мужчин в них было 32 500. Все эти люди входили в роды Иосифа.

These were the clans of Ephraim. Their registered troops numbered 32,500. These clans of Manasseh and Ephraim were all descendants of Joseph.

Поколения в роду Вениамина: от Белы — поколение Белы; от Ашбела — поколение Ашбела; от Ахирама — поколение Ахирама;

These were the clans descended from the sons of Benjamin: The Belaite clan, named after their ancestor Bela. The Ashbelite clan, named after their ancestor Ashbel. The Ahiramite clan, named after their ancestor Ahiram.

от Шефуфама — поколение Шефуфама; от Хуфама — поколение Хуфама.

The Shuphamite clan, named after their ancestor Shupham.g The Huphamite clan, named after their ancestor Hupham.

Поколения Белы были: от Арда — поколение Арда; от Неемана — поколение Неемана.

These were the subclans descended from the Belaites: The Ardites, named after their ancestor Ard.h The Naamites, named after their ancestor Naaman.

Такие поколения были в роду Вениамина, общее же число мужчин в них было 45 600.

These were the clans of Benjamin. Their registered troops numbered 45,600.

Поколения в роду Дана: от Шухама — поколение Шухама. Это поколение было в роду Дана.

These were the clans descended from the sons of Dan: The Shuhamite clan, named after their ancestor Shuham.

Поколение Шухама было большое, общее же число мужчин в нём было 64 400.

These were the Shuhamite clans of Dan. Their registered troops numbered 64,400.

Поколения рода Асира: от Имны — поколение Имны; от Ишвы — поколение Ишвы; от Верии — поколение Верии.

These were the clans descended from the sons of Asher: The Imnite clan, named after their ancestor Imnah. The Ishvite clan, named after their ancestor Ishvi. The Beriite clan, named after their ancestor Beriah.

Поколение Верии: от Хевера — поколение Хевера; от Малхиила — поколение Малхиила.

These were the subclans descended from the Beriites: The Heberites, named after their ancestor Heber. The Malkielites, named after their ancestor Malkiel.

(У Асира была также дочь по имени Серах).

Asher also had a daughter named Serah.

Такие поколения были в роду Асира, общее же число мужчин в них было 53 400.

These were the clans of Asher. Their registered troops numbered 53,400.

Поколения в роду Неффалима: от Иахцеила — поколение Иахцеила; от Гуни — поколение Гуни;

These were the clans descended from the sons of Naphtali: The Jahzeelite clan, named after their ancestor Jahzeel. The Gunite clan, named after their ancestor Guni.

от Иецера — поколение Иецера; от Шиллема — поколение Шиллема.

The Jezerite clan, named after their ancestor Jezer. The Shillemite clan, named after their ancestor Shillem.

Такие были поколения в роду Неффалима, общее же число мужчин в них было 45 400.

These were the clans of Naphtali. Their registered troops numbered 45,400.

Итак, общее число мужчин в Израиле было 601 730.

In summary, the registered troops of all Israel numbered 601,730.

Тогда Господь сказал Моисею:

Then the LORD said to Moses,

«Земля будет разделена и отдана этим людям. Каждое колено получит достаточно земли на каждого из пересчитанных.

“Divide the land among the tribes, and distribute the grants of land in proportion to the tribes’ populations, as indicated by the number of names on the list.

Большая семья получит больше земли, а маленькая семья получит меньше. Размер земельного участка, который они получат, будет соответствовать количеству пересчитанного народа.

Give the larger tribes more land and the smaller tribes less land, each group receiving a grant in proportion to the size of its population.

Бросайте жребий, чтобы решить, какая семья получит сколько земли. Каждая семья получит свою долю земли, и эта земля получит своё название по имени той семьи.

But you must assign the land by lot, and give land to each ancestral tribe according to the number of names on the list.

Земля будет дана каждой семье, как большой, так и маленькой; разделяйте землю по жребию».

Each grant of land must be assigned by lot among the larger and smaller tribal groups.”

Пересчитали также и род левитов. Поколения в роду Левия: от Гирсона — поколение Гирсона; от Каафа — поколение Каафа; от Мерари — поколение Мерари.

This is the record of the Levites who were counted according to their clans: The Gershonite clan, named after their ancestor Gershon. The Kohathite clan, named after their ancestor Kohath. The Merarite clan, named after their ancestor Merari.

И ещё поколения рода Левия: поколение Левния; поколение Хеврона; поколение Махли; поколение Муши; поколение Корея. Амрам же был из поколения Каафа.

The Libnites, the Hebronites, the Mahlites, the Mushites, and the Korahites were all subclans of the Levites. Now Kohath was the ancestor of Amram,

Жену Амрама звали Иохаведа, она тоже была из рода Левия и родилась в Египте. У Амрама с Иохаведой было два сына: Аарон и Моисей, и дочь Мариамь.

and Amram’s wife was named Jochebed. She also was a descendant of Levi, born among the Levites in the land of Egypt. Amram and Jochebed became the parents of Aaron, Moses, and their sister, Miriam.

Аарон был отцом Авиуда, Надава, Елеазара и Ифамара.

To Aaron were born Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

Надав и Авиуд умерли, потому что совершили приношение Господу на недозволенном огне.

But Nadab and Abihu died when they burned before the LORD the wrong kind of fire, different than he had commanded.

Общее число мужчин в роду левитов было 23 000, но они не были пересчитаны вместе с израильским народом и не получили доли от земли, которую Господь дал израильскому народу.

The men from the Levite clans who were one month old or older numbered 23,000. But the Levites were not included in the registration of the rest of the people of Israel because they were not given an allotment of land when it was divided among the Israelites.

Моисей со священником Елеазаром пересчитали весь этот народ. Они пересчитали его, когда ещё находились в Иорданской долине в Моаве, у реки Иордан, близ Иерихона.

So these are the results of the registration of the people of Israel as conducted by Moses and Eleazar the priest on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.

За много лет до этого в Синайской пустыне Моисей и священник Аарон пересчитали израильский народ, но все те люди умерли. Никого из них не осталось в живых,

Not one person on this list had been among those listed in the previous registration taken by Moses and Aaron in the wilderness of Sinai.

потому что Господь сказал тому народу, что все люди умрут в пустыне. В живых остались только Халев, сын Иефоннии, и Иисус, сын Навина.

For the LORD had said of them, “They will all die in the wilderness.” Not one of them survived except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
