Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved fellow worker

Павал, вязень Ісуса Хрыста, і Цімахвей, брат — Хвілімону любаснаму і супрацоўніку нашаму,

and Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier, and the church in your house:

і Аппіі любаснай, і Архіпу, сузмагару нашаму, і ўсёй тваёй дамовай царкве:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Багадаць вам і Мір ад Бога Бацькі нашага і Госпада Ісуса Хрыста.

I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers,

Дзякую Богу майму, заўсёды ўспамінаючы пра цябе ў малітвах маіх,

because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints,

чуючы пра тваю веру і любоў, якую ты маеш да Госпада Ісуса і да ўсіх сьвятых,

and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.a

каб супольнасьць веры тваёй аказалася чыннай у спазнаньні ўсякага дабра ў вас у Хрысьце Ісусе.

For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you.

Бо мы маем вялікую радасьць і суцяшэньне ў тваёй любові, бо табою, браце, супакоены сэрцы сьвятых.

Accordingly, though I am bold enough in Christ to command you to do what is required,

yet for love’s sake I prefer to appeal to you — I, Paul, an old man and now a prisoner also for Christ Jesus —

I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus,b whose father I became in my imprisonment.

(Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.)

Ён некалі быў табе бяскарысным, а цяпер ён карысны і мне, і табе;

I am sending him back to you, sending my very heart.

I would have been glad to keep him with me, in order that he might serve me on your behalf during my imprisonment for the gospel,

Я хацеў затрымаць яго пры сабе, каб ён замест цябе паслужыў мне ў путах за Эвангельле.

but I preferred to do nothing without your consent in order that your goodness might not be by compulsion but of your own accord.

Але бяз тваёй згоды я нічога ня хацеў зрабіць, каб тваё дабрадзейства было ня як прымусовае, але з добрае волі.

For this perhaps is why he was parted from you for a while, that you might have him back forever,

Бо магчыма ён дзеля таго на час адлучыўся, каб ты прыняў яго назаўсёды:

no longer as a bondservantc but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother — especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

ужо ня як раба, але больш чым як раба, як брата любаснага, асабліва для мяне; а для цябе яшчэ больш — і па целу, і ў Госпадзе.

So if you consider me your partner, receive him as you would receive me.

Дык калі ты маеш мяне за супольніка, то прымі яго, як мяне.

If he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, charge that to my account.

А калі ён цябе чым-небудзь пакрыўдзіў альбо што вíнен табе, залічы гэтае на мяне.

I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it — to say nothing of your owing me even your own self.

Я, Павал, напісаў гэта маёй рукой: я заплачу; каб ня казаць табе, што ты і самім сабою вінен мне.

Yes, brother, I want some benefit from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Christ.

Так, браце, дай мне скарыстацца табою ў Госпадзе; супакой маё сэрца ў Госпадзе.

Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say.

Будучы ўпэўненым у тваёй паслухмянасьці, я напісаў табе, ведаючы, што ты зробіш больш за тое, пра што я гавару табе.

At the same time, prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that through your prayers I will be graciously given to you.

Адначасова (прашу): прыгатуй мне кватэру; бо спадзяюся, што дзякуючы малітвам вашым я буду падараваны вам.

Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends greetings to you,

Вітаюць цябе Эпахрас, які зьняволены разам са мною ў Хрысьце Ісусе,

and so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.

Марк, Арыстарх, Дзімас, Лукаш, супрацоўнікі мае.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
