The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who dwell in the land of Egypt, who dwell at Migdol, at Tahpanhes, at Noph,[a] and in the country of Pathros, saying,

Сло́во, кото́рое бы́ло к Иереми́и о всех Иуде́ях, живу́щих в земле́ Еги́петской, посели́вшихся в Магдо́ле и Тафни́се, и в Но́фе, и в земле́ Пафро́с:

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘You have seen all the calamity that I have brought on Jerusalem and on all the cities of Judah; and behold, this day they are a desolation, and no one dwells in them,

так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф, Бог Изра́илев: вы ви́дели всё бе́дствие, како́е Я навёл на Иерусали́м и на все города́ Иуде́йские; вот, они́ тепе́рь пусты́, и никто́ не живёт в них,

because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke Me to anger, in that they went to burn incense and to serve other gods whom they did not know, they nor you nor your fathers.

за нече́стие их, кото́рое они́ де́лали, прогневля́я Меня́, ходя́ кади́ть и служи́ть ины́м бога́м, кото́рых не зна́ли ни они́, ни вы, ни отцы́ ва́ши.

However I have sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, “Oh, do not do this abominable thing that I hate!”

Я посыла́л к вам всех рабо́в Мои́х, проро́ков, посыла́л с ра́ннего утра́, что́бы сказа́ть: «не де́лайте э́того ме́рзкого де́ла, кото́рое Я ненави́жу».

But they did not listen or incline their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense to other gods.

Но они́ не слу́шали и не приклони́ли у́ха своего́, что́бы обрати́ться от своего́ нече́стия, не кади́ть ины́м бога́м.

So My fury and My anger were poured out and kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they [b]are wasted and desolate, as it is this day.’

И излила́сь я́рость Моя́ и гнев Мой и разгоре́лась в города́х Иуде́и и на у́лицах Иерусали́ма; и они́ сде́лались разва́линами и пусты́нею, как ви́дите ны́не.

“Now therefore, thus says the Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Why do you commit this great evil against yourselves, to cut off from you man and woman, child and infant, out of Judah, leaving none to remain,

И ны́не так говори́т Госпо́дь Бог Савао́ф, Бог Изра́илев: заче́м вы де́лаете э́то вели́кое зло ду́шам ва́шим, истребля́я у себя́ муже́й и жён, взро́слых дете́й и младе́нцев из среды́ Иуде́и, что́бы не оста́вить у себя́ оста́тка,

in that you provoke Me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have gone to dwell, that you may cut yourselves off and be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

прогневля́я Меня́ изде́лием рук свои́х, кажде́нием ины́м бога́м в земле́ Еги́петской, куда́ вы пришли́ жить, что́бы погуби́ть себя́ и сде́латься прокля́тием и поноше́нием у всех наро́дов земли́?

Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Ра́зве вы забы́ли нече́стие отцо́в ва́ших и нече́стие царе́й Иуде́йских, ва́ше со́бственное нече́стие и нече́стие жён ва́ших, како́е они́ де́лали в земле́ Иуде́йской и на у́лицах Иерусали́ма?

They have not been humbled,[c] to this day, nor have they feared; they have not walked in My law or in My statutes that I set before you and your fathers.’

Не смири́лись они́ и до сего́ дня, и не боя́тся и не поступа́ют по зако́ну Моему́ и по уста́вам Мои́м, кото́рые Я дал вам и отца́м ва́шим.

“Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Behold, I will set My face against you for catastrophe and for [d]cutting off all Judah.

Посему́ так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф, Бог Изра́илев: вот, Я обращу́ про́тив вас лицо́ Моё на поги́бель и на истребле́ние всей Иуде́и

And I will take the remnant of Judah who have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to dwell there, and they shall all be consumed and fall in the land of Egypt. They shall be consumed by the sword and by famine. They shall die, from the least to the greatest, by the sword and by famine; and they shall be an oath, an astonishment, a curse and a reproach!

и возьму́ оста́вшихся Иуде́ев, кото́рые обрати́ли лицо́ своё, что́бы идти́ в зе́млю Еги́петскую и жить там, и все они́ бу́дут истреблены́, паду́т в земле́ Еги́петской; мечо́м и го́лодом бу́дут истреблены́; от ма́лого и до большо́го умру́т от меча́ и го́лода, и бу́дут прокля́тием и у́жасом, поруга́нием и поноше́нием.

For I will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence,

Посещу́ живу́щих в земле́ Еги́петской, как Я посети́л Иерусали́м, мечо́м, го́лодом и морово́ю я́звою,

so that none of the remnant of Judah who have gone into the land of Egypt to dwell there shall escape or survive, lest they return to the land of Judah, to which they desire[e] to return and dwell. For none shall return except those who escape.’ ”

и никто́ не избежи́т и не уцеле́ет из оста́тка Иуде́ев, прише́дших в зе́млю Еги́петскую, что́бы пожи́ть там и пото́м возврати́ться в зе́млю Иуде́йскую, куда́ они́ все́ю душо́ю жела́ют возврати́ться, что́бы жить там; никто́ не возврати́тся, кро́ме тех, кото́рые убегу́т отту́да.

Then all the men who knew that their wives had burned incense to other gods, with all the women who stood by, a great multitude, and all the people who dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying:

И отвеча́ли Иереми́и все мужья́, зна́вшие, что жёны их кадя́т ины́м бога́м, и все жёны, стоя́вшие там в большо́м мно́жестве, и весь наро́д, жи́вший в земле́ Еги́петской, в Пафро́се, и сказа́ли:

“As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you!

слова́, кото́рое ты говори́л нам и́менем Го́спода, мы не слу́шаем от тебя́;

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of [f]food, were well-off, and saw no trouble.

но непреме́нно бу́дем де́лать всё то́, что вы́шло из уст на́ших, что́бы кади́ть боги́не не́ба и возлива́ть ей возлия́ния, как мы де́лали, мы и отцы́ на́ши, цари́ на́ши и князья́ на́ши, в города́х Иуде́и и на у́лицах Иерусали́ма, потому́ что тогда́ мы бы́ли сы́ты и сча́стливы и беды́ не ви́дели.

But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have been consumed by the sword and by famine.”

А с того́ вре́мени, как переста́ли мы кади́ть боги́не не́ба и возлива́ть ей возлия́ния, те́рпим во всём недоста́ток и ги́бнем от меча́ и го́лода.

The women also said, “And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make cakes for her, to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her without our husbands’ permission?”

И когда́ мы кади́ли боги́не не́ба и возлива́ли ей возлия́ния, то ра́зве без ве́дома муже́й на́ших де́лали мы ей пирожки́ с изображе́нием её и возлива́ли ей возлия́ния?

Then Jeremiah spoke to all the people — the men, the women, and all the people who had given him that answer — saying:

Тогда́ сказа́л Иереми́я всему́ наро́ду, мужья́м и жёнам, и всему́ наро́ду, кото́рый так отвеча́л ему́:

“The incense that you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the Lord remember them, and did it not come into His mind?

не э́то ли кажде́ние, кото́рое соверша́ли вы в города́х Иуде́йских и на у́лицах Иерусали́ма, вы и отцы́ ва́ши, цари́ ва́ши и князья́ ва́ши, и наро́д страны́, воспомяну́л Госпо́дь? И не оно́ ли взошло́ Ему́ на се́рдце?

So the Lord could no longer bear it, because of the evil of your doings and because of the abominations which you committed. Therefore your land is a desolation, an astonishment, a curse, and without an inhabitant, as it is this day.

Госпо́дь не мог бо́лее терпе́ть злых дел ва́ших и ме́рзостей, каки́е вы де́лали; поэ́тому и сде́лалась земля́ ва́ша пусты́нею и у́жасом, и прокля́тием, без жи́телей, как ви́дите ны́не.

Because you have burned incense and because you have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord or walked in His law, in His statutes or in His testimonies, therefore this calamity has happened to you, as at this day.”

Так как вы, соверша́я то куре́ние, греши́ли пред Го́сподом, и не слу́шали гла́са Го́спода, и не поступа́ли по зако́ну Его́, и по установле́ниям Его́, и по повеле́ниям Его́, то и пости́гло вас э́то бе́дствие, как ви́дите ны́не.

Moreover Jeremiah said to all the people and to all the women, “Hear the word of the Lord, all Judah who are in the land of Egypt!

И сказа́л Иереми́я всему́ наро́ду и всем жёнам: слу́шайте сло́во Госпо́дне, все Иуде́и, кото́рые в земле́ Еги́петской:

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying: ‘You and your wives have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled with your hands, saying, “We will surely keep our vows that we have made, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her.” You will surely keep your vows and perform your vows!’

так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф, Бог Изра́илев: вы и жёны ва́ши, что уста́ми свои́ми говори́ли, то и рука́ми свои́ми де́лали; вы говори́те: «ста́нем выполня́ть обе́ты на́ши, каки́е мы обеща́ли, что́бы кади́ть боги́не не́ба и возлива́ть ей возлия́ние», — твёрдо держи́тесь обе́тов ва́ших и в то́чности исполня́йте обе́ты ва́ши.

Therefore hear the word of the Lord, all Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: ‘Behold, I have sworn by My great name,’ says the Lord, ‘that My name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, “The Lord God lives.”

За то вы́слушайте сло́во Госпо́дне, все Иуде́и, живу́щие в земле́ Еги́петской: вот, Я покля́лся вели́ким и́менем Мои́м, говори́т Госпо́дь, что не бу́дет уже́ на всей земле́ Еги́петской произноси́мо и́мя Моё уста́ми како́го-ли́бо Иуде́я, говоря́щего: «жив Госпо́дь Бог!»

Behold, I will watch over them for adversity and not for good. And all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by famine, until there is an end to them.

Вот, Я бу́ду наблюда́ть над ва́ми к поги́бели, а не к добру́; и все Иуде́и, кото́рые в земле́ Еги́петской, бу́дут погиба́ть от меча́ и го́лода, доко́ле совсе́м не истребя́тся.

Yet a small number who escape the sword shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah; and all the remnant of Judah, who have gone to the land of Egypt to dwell there, shall know whose words will stand, Mine or theirs.

То́лько ма́лое число́ избежа́вших от меча́ возврати́тся из земли́ Еги́петской в зе́млю Иуде́йскую, и узна́ют все оста́вшиеся Иуде́и, кото́рые пришли́ в зе́млю Еги́петскую, что́бы пожи́ть там, чьё сло́во сбу́дется: Моё и́ли их.

And this shall be a sign to you,’ says the Lord, ‘that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for adversity.’

И вот вам знаме́ние, говори́т Госпо́дь, что Я посещу́ вас на сём ме́сте, что́бы вы зна́ли, что сбу́дутся слова́ Мои́ о вас на поги́бель вам.

“Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies and into the hand of those who seek his life, as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, his enemy who sought his life.’ ”

Так говори́т Госпо́дь: вот, Я отда́м фарао́на Ва́фрия, царя́ Еги́петского, в ру́ки враго́в его́ и в ру́ки и́щущих души́ его́, как отда́л Седе́кию, царя́ Иуде́йского, в ру́ки Навуходоно́сора, царя́ Вавило́нского, врага́ его́ и иска́вшего души́ его́.
