Thus says the Lord: “Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and there speak this word,

Так сказа́л Госпо́дь: сойди́ в дом царя́ Иуде́йского и произнеси́ сло́во сие́

and say, ‘Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, you who sit on the throne of David, you and your servants and your people who enter these gates!

и скажи́: вы́слушай сло́во Госпо́дне, царь Иуде́йский, сидя́щий на престо́ле Дави́довом, ты, и слу́ги твои́, и наро́д твой, входя́щие си́ми воро́тами.

Thus says the Lord: “Execute[a] judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.

Так говори́т Госпо́дь: производи́те суд и пра́вду и спаса́йте обижа́емого от руки́ притесни́теля, не обижа́йте и не тесни́те прише́льца, сироты́ и вдовы́, и неви́нной кро́ви не пролива́йте на ме́сте сём.

For if you indeed do this thing, then shall enter the gates of this house, riding on horses and in chariots, accompanied by servants and people, kings who sit on the throne of David.

И́бо е́сли вы бу́дете исполня́ть сло́во сие́, то бу́дут входи́ть воро́тами до́ма сего́ цари́, сидя́щие вме́сто Дави́да на престо́ле его́, е́здящие на колесни́це и на коня́х, са́ми и слу́ги их и наро́д их.

But if you will not [b]hear these words, I swear by Myself,” says the Lord, “that this house shall become a desolation.” ’ ”

А е́сли не послу́шаете слов сих, то Мно́ю кляну́сь, говори́т Госпо́дь, что дом сей сде́лается пусты́м.

For thus says the Lord to the house of the king of Judah: “You are Gilead to Me, The head of Lebanon; Yet I surely will make you a wilderness, Cities which are not inhabited.

И́бо так говори́т Госпо́дь до́му царя́ Иуде́йского: Галаа́д ты у Меня́, верши́на Лива́на; но Я сде́лаю тебя́ пусты́нею и города́ необита́емыми

I will prepare destroyers against you, Everyone with his weapons; They shall cut down your choice cedars And cast them into the fire.

и пригото́влю про́тив тебя́ истреби́телей, ка́ждого со свои́ми ору́диями, и сру́бят лу́чшие ке́дры твои́ и бро́сят в ого́нь.

And many nations will pass by this city; and everyone will say to his neighbor, ‘Why has the Lord done so to this great city?’

И мно́гие наро́ды бу́дут проходи́ть че́рез го́род сей и говори́ть друг дру́гу: «за что Госпо́дь так поступи́л с э́тим вели́ким го́родом?»

Then they will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and worshiped other gods and served them.’ ”

И ска́жут в отве́т: «за то, что они́ оста́вили заве́т Го́спода Бо́га своего́ и поклоня́лись ины́м бога́м и служи́ли им».

Weep not for the dead, nor bemoan him; Weep bitterly for him who goes away, For he shall return no more, Nor see his native country.

Не пла́чьте об уме́ршем и не жале́йте о нём; но го́рько пла́чьте об отходя́щем в плен, и́бо он уже́ не возврати́тся и не уви́дит родно́й страны́ свое́й.

For thus says the Lord concerning Shallum[c] the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, who went from this place: “He shall not return here anymore,

И́бо так говори́т Госпо́дь о Саллу́ме, сы́не Ио́сии, царе́ Иуде́йском, кото́рый ца́рствовал по́сле отца́ своего́, Ио́сии, и кото́рый вы́шел из сего́ ме́ста: он уже́ не возврати́тся сюда́,

but he shall die in the place where they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.

но умрёт в том ме́сте, куда́ отвели́ его́ пле́нным, и бо́лее не уви́дит земли́ сей.

“Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness And his [d]chambers by injustice, Who uses his neighbor’s service without wages And gives him nothing for his work,

Го́ре тому́, кто стро́ит дом свой непра́вдою и го́рницы свои́ беззако́нием, кто заставля́ет бли́жнего своего́ рабо́тать да́ром и не отдаёт ему́ пла́ты его́,

Who says, ‘I will build myself a wide house with spacious [e]chambers, And cut out windows for it, Paneling it with cedar And painting it with vermilion.’

кто говори́т: «постро́ю себе́ дом обши́рный и го́рницы просто́рные», — и проруба́ет себе́ о́кна, и обшива́ет ке́дром, и кра́сит кра́сною кра́скою.

“Shall you reign because you enclose yourself in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink, And do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.

Ду́маешь ли ты быть царём, потому́ что заключи́л себя́ в кедр? оте́ц твой ел и пил, но производи́л суд и пра́вду, и потому́ ему́ бы́ло хорошо́.

He [f]judged the cause of the poor and needy; Then it was well. Was not this knowing Me?” says the Lord.

Он разбира́л де́ло бе́дного и ни́щего, и потому́ ему́ хорошо́ бы́ло. Не э́то ли зна́чит знать Меня́? говори́т Госпо́дь.

“Yet your eyes and your heart are for nothing but your covetousness, For shedding innocent blood, And practicing oppression and violence.”

Но твои́ глаза́ и твоё се́рдце обращены́ то́лько к твое́й коры́сти и к проли́тию неви́нной кро́ви, к тому́, что́бы де́лать притесне́ние и наси́лие.

Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah: “They shall not lament for him, Saying, ‘Alas, my brother!’ or ‘Alas, my sister!’ They shall not lament for him, Saying, ‘Alas, master!’ or ‘Alas, his glory!’

Посему́ так говори́т Госпо́дь о Иоаки́ме, сы́не Ио́сии, царе́ Иуде́йском: не бу́дут опла́кивать его́: «увы́, брат мой!» и: «увы́, сестра́!» Не бу́дут опла́кивать его́: «увы́, госуда́рь!» и: «увы́, его́ вели́чие!»

He shall be buried with the burial of a donkey, Dragged and cast out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.

Осли́ным погребе́нием бу́дет он погребён; вы́тащат его́ и бро́сят далеко́ за воро́та Иерусали́ма.

“Go up to Lebanon, and cry out, And lift up your voice in Bashan; Cry from Abarim, For all your lovers are destroyed.

Взойди́ на Лива́н и кричи́, и на Васа́не возвы́сь го́лос твой и кричи́ с Авари́ма, и́бо сокрушены́ все друзья́ твои́.

I spoke to you in your prosperity, But you said, ‘I will not hear.’ This has been your manner from your youth, That you did not obey My voice.

Я говори́л тебе́ во вре́мя благоде́нствия твоего́; но ты сказа́л: «не послу́шаю». Таково́ бы́ло поведе́ние твоё с са́мой ю́ности твое́й, что ты не слу́шал гла́са Моего́.

The wind shall eat up all your [g]rulers, And your lovers shall go into captivity; Surely then you will be ashamed and humiliated For all your wickedness.

Всех па́стырей твои́х унесёт ве́тер, и друзья́ твои́ пойду́т в плен; и тогда́ ты бу́дешь постыжён и посрамлён за все злодея́ния твои́.

O inhabitant of Lebanon, Making your nest in the cedars, How gracious will you be when pangs come upon you, Like the pain of a woman in [h]labor?

Живу́щий на Лива́не, гнездя́щийся на ке́драх! как жа́лок бу́дешь ты, когда́ пости́гнут тебя́ му́ки, как бо́ли же́нщины в ро́дах!

“As I live,” says the Lord, “though [i]Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were the [j]signet on My right hand, yet I would pluck you off;

Живу́ Я, сказа́л Госпо́дь: е́сли бы Иехо́ния, сын Иоаки́ма, царь Иуде́йский, был пе́рстнем на пра́вой руке́ Мое́й, то и отсю́да Я сорву́ тебя́

and I will give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of those whose face you fear — the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and the hand of the [k]Chaldeans.

и отда́м тебя́ в ру́ки и́щущих души́ твое́й и в ру́ки тех, кото́рых ты бои́шься, в ру́ки Навуходоно́сора, царя́ Вавило́нского, и в ру́ки Халде́ев,

So I will cast you out, and your mother who bore you, into another country where you were not born; and there you shall die.

и вы́брошу тебя́ и твою́ мать, кото́рая родила́ тебя́, в чужу́ю страну́, где вы не роди́лись, и там умрёте;

But to the land to which they desire to return, there they shall not return.

а в зе́млю, куда́ душа́ их бу́дет жела́ть возврати́ться, туда́ не возвратя́тся.

“Is this man [l]Coniah a despised, broken idol — A vessel in which is no pleasure? Why are they cast out, he and his descendants, And cast into a land which they do not know?

«Неуже́ли э́тот челове́к, Иехо́ния, есть созда́ние презре́нное, отве́рженное? и́ли он — сосу́д непотре́бный? за что они́ вы́брошены — он и пле́мя его́, и бро́шены в страну́, кото́рой не зна́ли?»

O earth, earth, earth, Hear the word of the Lord!

О, земля́, земля́, земля́! слу́шай сло́во Госпо́дне.

Thus says the Lord: ‘Write this man down as childless, A man who shall not prosper in his days; For none of his descendants shall prosper, Sitting on the throne of David, And ruling anymore in Judah.’ ”

Так говори́т Госпо́дь: запиши́те челове́ка сего́ лишённым дете́й, челове́ком злополу́чным во дни свои́, потому́ что никто́ уже́ из пле́мени его́ не бу́дет сиде́ть на престо́ле Дави́довом и влады́чествовать в Иуде́е.
