Against the Ammonites. Thus says the Lord: “Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why then does [a]Milcom inherit Gad, And his people dwell in its cities?

О сыновья́х Аммо́новых так говори́т Госпо́дь: ра́зве нет сынове́й у Изра́иля? ра́зве нет у него́ насле́дника? Почему́ же Малхо́м завладе́л Га́дом и наро́д его́ живёт в города́х его́?

Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “That I will cause to be heard an alarm of war In Rabbah of the Ammonites; It shall be a desolate mound, And her [b]villages shall be burned with fire. Then Israel shall take possession of his inheritance,” says the Lord.

Посему́ вот, наступа́ют дни, говори́т Госпо́дь, когда́ в Ра́вве сынове́й Аммо́новых слы́шен бу́дет крик бра́ни, и сде́лается она́ гру́дою разва́лин, и города́ её бу́дут сожжены́ огнём, и овладе́ет Изра́иль те́ми, кото́рые владе́ли им, говори́т Госпо́дь.

“Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is plundered! Cry, you daughters of Rabbah, Gird yourselves with sackcloth! Lament and run to and fro by the walls; For [c]Milcom shall go into captivity With his priests and his princes together.

Рыда́й, Есево́н, и́бо опустошён Гай; кричи́те, до́чери Ра́ввы, опоя́шьтесь вре́тищем, пла́чьте и скита́йтесь по огоро́дам, и́бо Малхо́м пойдёт в плен вме́сте со свяще́нниками и князья́ми свои́ми.

Why do you boast in the valleys, [d]Your flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? Who trusted in her treasures, saying, ‘Who will come against me?’

Что хва́лишься доли́нами? Потечёт доли́на твоя́ кро́вью, вероло́мная дочь, наде́ющаяся на сокро́вища свои́, говоря́щая: «кто придёт ко мне?»

Behold, I will bring fear upon you,” Says the Lord God of hosts, “From all those who are around you; You shall be driven out, everyone headlong, And no one will gather those who wander off.

Вот, Я наведу́ на тебя́ у́жас со всех окре́стностей твои́х, говори́т Госпо́дь Бог Савао́ф; разбежи́тесь кто куда́, и никто́ не соберёт разбежа́вшихся.

But afterward I will bring back The captives of the people of Ammon,” says the Lord.

Но по́сле того́ Я возвращу́ плен сынове́й Аммо́новых, говори́т Госпо́дь.

Against Edom. Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Is wisdom no more in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom vanished?

О Едо́ме так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф: ра́зве нет бо́лее му́дрости в Фема́не? ра́зве не ста́ло сове́та у разу́мных? ра́зве оскуде́ла му́дрость их?

Flee, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan! For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, The time that I will punish him.

Беги́те, обрати́в тыл, скрыва́йтесь в пеще́рах, жи́тели Деда́на, и́бо поги́бель Иса́ва Я наведу́ на него́, — вре́мя посеще́ния Моего́.

If grape-gatherers came to you, Would they not leave some gleaning grapes? If thieves by night, Would they not destroy until they have enough?

Е́сли бы обира́тели виногра́да пришли́ к тебе́, то, ве́рно, оста́вили бы не́сколько недо́бранных я́год. И е́сли бы во́ры пришли́ но́чью, то они́ похи́тили бы ско́лько им ну́жно.

But I have made Esau bare; I have uncovered his secret places, And he shall not be able to hide himself. His descendants are plundered, His brethren and his neighbors, And he is no more.

А Я донага́ оберу́ Иса́ва, откро́ю потаённые места́ его́, и скры́ться он не мо́жет. Истреблено́ бу́дет пле́мя его́, и бра́тья его́ и сосе́ди его́; и не бу́дет его́.

Leave your fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; And let your widows trust in Me.”

Оста́вь сиро́т твои́х, Я поддержу́ жизнь их, и вдо́вы твои́ пусть наде́ются на Меня́.

For thus says the Lord: “Behold, those whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunk. And are you the one who will altogether go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, but you shall surely drink of it.

И́бо так говори́т Госпо́дь: вот и те, кото́рым не суждено́ бы́ло пить ча́шу, непреме́нно бу́дут пить её, и ты ли оста́нешься ненака́занным? Нет, не оста́нешься ненака́занным, но непреме́нно бу́дешь пить ча́шу.

For I have sworn by Myself,” says the Lord, “that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a [e]waste, and a curse. And all its cities shall be perpetual [f]wastes.”

И́бо Мно́ю кляну́сь, говори́т Госпо́дь, что у́жасом, посмея́нием, пусты́нею и прокля́тием бу́дет Восо́р, и все города́ его́ сде́лаются ве́чными пусты́нями.

I have heard a message from the Lord, And an ambassador has been sent to the nations: “Gather together, come against her, And rise up to battle!

Я слы́шал слух от Го́спода, и посо́л по́слан к наро́дам сказа́ть: собери́тесь и иди́те про́тив него́, и поднима́йтесь на войну́.

“For indeed, I will make you small among nations, Despised among men.

И́бо вот, Я сде́лаю тебя́ ма́лым ме́жду наро́дами, презре́нным ме́жду людьми́.

Your fierceness has deceived you, The pride of your heart, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, Who hold the height of the hill! Though you make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from there,” says the Lord.

Гро́зное положе́ние твоё и надме́нность се́рдца твоего́ обольсти́ли тебя́, живу́щего в рассе́линах скал и занима́ющего верши́ны холмо́в. Но, хотя́ бы ты, как орёл, высоко́ свил гнездо́ твоё, и отту́да низри́ну тебя́, говори́т Госпо́дь.

“Edom also shall be an astonishment; Everyone who goes by it will be astonished And will hiss at all its plagues.

И бу́дет Едо́м у́жасом; вся́кий, проходя́щий ми́мо, изуми́тся и посви́щет, смотря́ на все я́звы его́.

As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah And their neighbors,” says the Lord, “No one shall remain there, Nor shall a son of man dwell in it.

Как ниспрове́ргнуты Содо́м и Гомо́рра и сосе́дние города́ их, говори́т Госпо́дь, так и там ни оди́н челове́к не бу́дет жить, и сын челове́ческий не остано́вится в нём.

“Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the [g]floodplain of the Jordan Against the dwelling place of the strong; But I will suddenly make him run away from her. And who is a chosen man that I may appoint over her? For who is like Me? Who will arraign Me? And who is that shepherd Who will withstand Me?”

Вот, восхо́дит он, как лев, от возвыше́ния Иорда́на на укреплённые жили́ща; но Я заста́влю их поспе́шно уйти́ из Идуме́и, и кто и́збран, того́ поста́влю над не́ю. И́бо кто подо́бен Мне? и кто потре́бует отве́та от Меня́? и како́й па́стырь противоста́нет Мне?

Therefore hear the counsel of the Lord that He has taken against Edom, And His purposes that He has proposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall [h]draw them out; Surely He shall make their dwelling places desolate with them.

Ита́к, вы́слушайте определе́ние Го́спода, како́е Он постанови́л об Едо́ме, и наме́рения Его́, каки́е Он име́ет о жи́телях Фема́на: и́стинно, са́мые ма́лые из стад повлеку́т их и опустоша́т жили́ща их.

The earth shakes at the noise of their fall; At the cry its noise is heard at the Red Sea.

От шу́ма паде́ния их потрясётся земля́, и отголо́сок кри́ка их слы́шен бу́дет у Че́рмного мо́ря.

Behold, He shall come up and fly like the eagle, And spread His wings over Bozrah; The heart of the mighty men of Edom in that day shall be Like the heart of a woman in birth pangs.

Вот, как орёл подни́мется он, и полети́т, и распу́стит кры́лья свои́ над Восо́ром; и се́рдце хра́брых Идумея́н бу́дет в тот день как се́рдце же́нщины в ро́дах.

Against Damascus. “Hamath and Arpad are shamed, For they have heard bad news. They are fainthearted; There is [i]trouble on the sea; It cannot be quiet.

О Дама́ске. — Посрамлены́ Ема́ф и Арпа́д, и́бо, услы́шав ско́рбную весть, они́ уны́ли; трево́га на мо́ре, успоко́иться не мо́гут.

Damascus has grown feeble; She turns to flee, And fear has seized her. Anguish and sorrows have taken her like a woman in [j]labor.

Оробе́л Дама́ск и обрати́лся в бе́гство; страх овладе́л им; боль и му́ки схвати́ли его́, как же́нщину в ро́дах.

Why is the city of praise not deserted, the city of My joy?

Как не уцеле́л го́род сла́вы, го́род ра́дости мое́й?

Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, And all the men of war shall be cut off in that day,” says the Lord of hosts.

Ита́к, паду́т ю́ноши его́ на у́лицах его́, и все во́ины поги́бнут в тот день, говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф.

“I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, And it shall consume the palaces of Ben-Hadad.”

И зажгу́ ого́нь в сте́нах Дама́ска, и истреби́т черто́ги Венада́да.

Against Kedar and against the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon shall strike. Thus says the Lord: “Arise, go up to Kedar, And devastate the men of the East!

О Кида́ре и о ца́рствах Асо́рских, кото́рые порази́л Навуходоно́сор, царь Вавило́нский, так говори́т Госпо́дь: встава́йте, выступа́йте про́тив Кида́ра и опустоша́йте сынове́й восто́ка!

Their tents and their flocks they shall take away. They shall take for themselves their curtains, All their vessels and their camels; And they shall cry out to them, ‘Fear is on every side!’

Шатры́ их и ове́ц их возьму́т себе́, и покро́вы их и всю у́тварь их, и верблю́дов их возьму́т, и бу́дут крича́ть им: «у́жас отовсю́ду!»

“Flee, get far away! Dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Hazor!” says the Lord. “For Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken counsel against you, And has conceived a plan against you.

Беги́те, уходи́те скоре́е, сокро́йтесь в про́пасти, жи́тели Асо́ра, говори́т Госпо́дь, и́бо Навуходоно́сор, царь Вавило́нский, сде́лал реше́ние о вас и соста́вил про́тив вас за́мысел.

“Arise, go up to the wealthy nation that dwells securely,” says the Lord, “Which has neither gates nor bars, Dwelling alone.

Встава́йте, выступа́йте про́тив наро́да ми́рного, живу́щего беспе́чно, говори́т Госпо́дь; ни двере́й, ни запо́ров нет у него́, живу́т поодино́чке.

Their camels shall be for booty, And the multitude of their cattle for plunder. I will scatter to all winds those [k]in the farthest corners, And I will bring their calamity from all its sides,” says the Lord.

Верблю́ды их о́тданы бу́дут в добы́чу, и мно́жество стад их — на расхище́ние; и рассе́ю их по всем ветра́м, э́тих стригу́щих во́лосы на виска́х, и со всех сторо́н их наведу́ на них ги́бель, говори́т Госпо́дь.

“Hazor shall be a dwelling for jackals, a desolation forever; No one shall reside there, Nor son of man dwell in it.”

И бу́дет Асо́р жили́щем шака́лов, ве́чною пусты́нею; челове́к не бу́дет жить там, и сын челове́ческий не бу́дет остана́вливаться в нём.

The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,

Сло́во Го́спода, кото́рое бы́ло к Иереми́и проро́ку про́тив Ела́ма, в нача́ле ца́рствования Седе́кии, царя́ Иуде́йского:

“Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will break the [l]bow of Elam, The foremost of their might.

так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф: вот, Я сокрушу́ лук Ела́ма, гла́вную си́лу их.

Against Elam I will bring the four winds From the four quarters of heaven, And scatter them toward all those winds; There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.

И наведу́ на Ела́м четы́ре ве́тра от четырёх краёв не́ба и разве́ю их по всем э́тим ветра́м, и не бу́дет наро́да, к кото́рому не пришли́ бы и́згнанные Елами́ты.

For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them.

И поражу́ Еламитя́н стра́хом пред врага́ми их и пред и́щущими души́ их; и наведу́ на них бе́дствие, гнев Мой, говори́т Госпо́дь, и пошлю́ вслед их меч, доко́ле не истреблю́ их.

I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord.

И поста́влю престо́л Мой в Ела́ме, и истреблю́ там царя́ и князе́й, говори́т Госпо́дь.

‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the Lord.”

Но в после́дние дни возвращу́ плен Ела́ма, говори́т Госпо́дь.
