The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.

For then the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah’s house.

Тогда́ во́йско царя́ Вавило́нского осажда́ло Иерусали́м, и Иереми́я проро́к был заключён во дворе́ стра́жи, кото́рый был при до́ме царя́ Иуде́йского.

For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, “Why do you prophesy and say, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

Седе́кия, царь Иуде́йский, заключи́л его́ туда́, сказа́в: «заче́м ты проро́чествуешь и говори́шь: так говори́т Госпо́дь: вот, Я отдаю́ го́род сей в ру́ки царя́ Вавило́нского, и он возьмёт его́;

and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape from the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him [a]face to face, and see him eye to eye;

и Седе́кия, царь Иуде́йский, не избе́гнет от рук Халде́ев, но непреме́нно пре́дан бу́дет в ру́ки царя́ Вавило́нского, и бу́дет говори́ть с ним уста́ми к уста́м, и глаза́ его́ уви́дят глаза́ его́;

then he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there he shall be until I visit him,” says the Lord; “though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not succeed” ’?”

и он отведёт Седе́кию в Вавило́н, где он и бу́дет, доко́ле не посещу́ его́, говори́т Госпо́дь. Е́сли вы бу́дете воева́ть с Халде́ями, то не бу́дете име́ть успе́ха?»

And Jeremiah said, “The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И сказа́л Иереми́я: таково́ бы́ло ко мне сло́во Госпо́дне:

‘Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying, “Buy my field which is in Anathoth, for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.” ’

вот Анамеи́л, сын Саллу́ма, дя́ди твоего́, идёт к тебе́ сказа́ть: «купи́ себе́ по́ле моё, кото́рое в Анафо́фе, потому́ что по пра́ву родства́ тебе́ надлежи́т купи́ть его́».

Then Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the Lord, and said to me, ‘Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption yours; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.

И Анамеи́л, сын дя́ди моего́, пришёл ко мне, по сло́ву Госпо́дню, во двор стра́жи и сказа́л мне: «купи́ по́ле моё, кото́рое в Анафо́фе, в земле́ Вениами́новой, и́бо пра́во насле́дства твоё и пра́во вы́купа твоё; купи́ себе́». Тогда́ я узна́л, что э́то бы́ло сло́во Госпо́дне.

So I bought the field from Hanamel, the son of my uncle who was in Anathoth, and weighed out to him the money — seventeen shekels of silver.

И купи́л я по́ле у Анамеи́ла, сы́на дя́ди моего́, кото́рое в Анафо́фе, и отве́сил ему́ семь си́клей серебра́ и де́сять сре́бреников;

And I signed the [b]deed and sealed it, took witnesses, and weighed the money on the scales.

и записа́л в кни́гу и запеча́тал её, и пригласи́л к тому́ свиде́телей и отве́сил серебро́ на веса́х.

So I took the purchase deed, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open;

И взял я ку́пчую за́пись, как запеча́танную по зако́ну и уста́ву, так и откры́тую;

and I gave the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the purchase deed, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison.

и отда́л э́ту ку́пчую за́пись Вару́ху, сы́ну Нири́и, сы́на Маа́сеи, в глаза́х Анамеи́ла, сы́на дя́ди моего́, и в глаза́х свиде́телей, подписа́вших э́ту ку́пчую за́пись, в глаза́х всех Иуде́ев, сиде́вших на дворе́ стра́жи;

“Then I charged Baruch before them, saying,

и запове́дал Вару́ху в прису́тствии их:

‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Take these deeds, both this purchase deed which is sealed and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.”

так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф, Бог Изра́илев: возьми́ сии́ за́писи, э́ту ку́пчую за́пись, кото́рая запеча́тана, и э́ту за́пись откры́тую, и положи́ их в гли́няный сосу́д, что́бы они́ остава́лись там мно́гие дни.

For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.” ’

И́бо так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф, Бог Изра́илев: домы́ и поля́ и виногра́дники бу́дут сно́ва покупа́емы в земле́ сей.

“Now when I had delivered the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the Lord, saying:

И, переда́в ку́пчую за́пись Вару́ху, сы́ну Нири́и, я помоли́лся Го́споду:

‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too [c]hard for You.

о, Го́споди Бо́же! Ты сотвори́л не́бо и зе́млю вели́кою си́лою Твое́ю и простёртою мы́шцею; для Тебя́ ничего́ нет невозмо́жного;

You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them — the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts.

Ты явля́ешь ми́лость ты́сячам и за беззако́ние отцо́в воздаёшь в не́дро де́тям их по́сле них: Бо́же вели́кий, си́льный, Кото́рому и́мя Госпо́дь Савао́ф!

You are great in counsel and mighty in [d]work, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.

Вели́кий в сове́те и си́льный в дела́х, Кото́рого о́чи отве́рсты на все пути́ сыно́в челове́ческих, что́бы воздава́ть ка́ждому по путя́м его́ и по плода́м дел его́,

You have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, to this day, and in Israel and among other men; and You have made Yourself a name, as it is this day.

Кото́рый соверши́л чудеса́ и знаме́ния в земле́ Еги́петской, и соверша́ешь до сего́ дня и в Изра́иле и ме́жду все́ми людьми́, и соде́лал Себе́ и́мя, как в сей день,

You have brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror;

и вы́вел наро́д Твой Изра́иля из земли́ Еги́петской знаме́ниями и чудеса́ми, и руко́ю си́льною и мы́шцею простёртою, при вели́ком у́жасе,

You have given them this land, of which You swore to their fathers to give them — “a land flowing with milk and honey.”

и дал им зе́млю сию́, кото́рую дать им кля́твенно обеща́л отца́м их, зе́млю, теку́щую молоко́м и мёдом.

And they came in and took possession of it, but they have not obeyed Your voice or walked in Your law. They have done nothing of all that You commanded them to do; therefore You have caused all this calamity to come upon them.

Они́ вошли́ и завладе́ли е́ю, но не ста́ли слу́шать гла́са Твоего́ и поступа́ть по зако́ну Твоему́, не ста́ли де́лать того́, что Ты запове́дал им де́лать, и за то Ты навёл на них всё э́то бе́дствие.

‘Look, the siege mounds! They have come to the city to take it; and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword and famine and pestilence. What You have spoken has happened; there You see it!

Вот, на́сыпи достига́ют до го́рода, что́бы взять его́; и го́род от меча́ и го́лода и морово́й я́звы отдаётся в ру́ки Халде́ев, вою́ющих про́тив него́; что Ты говори́л, то и исполня́ется, и вот, Ты ви́дишь э́то.

And You have said to me, O Lord God, “Buy the field for money, and take witnesses”! — yet the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’ ”

А Ты, Го́споди Бо́же, сказа́л мне: «купи́ себе́ по́ле за серебро́ и пригласи́ свиде́телей», тогда́ как го́род отдаётся в ру́ки Халде́ев.

Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,

И бы́ло сло́во Госпо́дне к Иереми́и:

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?

вот, Я Госпо́дь, Бог вся́кой пло́ти; есть ли что невозмо́жное для Меня́?

Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it.

Посему́ так говори́т Госпо́дь: вот, Я отдаю́ го́род сей в ру́ки Халде́ев и в ру́ки Навуходоно́сора, царя́ Вавило́нского, и он возьмёт его́,

And the Chaldeans who fight against this city shall come and set fire to this city and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke Me to anger;

и войду́т Халде́и, осажда́ющие сей го́род, зажгу́т го́род огнём и сожгу́т его́ и домы́, на кро́влях кото́рых возноси́лись куре́ния Ваа́лу и возлива́емы бы́ли возлия́ния чужи́м бога́м, что́бы прогневля́ть Меня́.

because the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only evil before Me from their youth. For the children of Israel have provoked Me only to anger with the work of their hands,’ says the Lord.

И́бо сыновья́ Изра́илевы и сыновья́ Иу́дины то́лько зло де́лали пред оча́ми Мои́ми от ю́ности свое́й; сыновья́ Изра́илевы то́лько прогневля́ли Меня́ дела́ми рук свои́х, говори́т Госпо́дь.

‘For this city has been to Me a provocation of My anger and My fury from the day that they built it, even to this day; so I will remove it from before My face

И как бы для гне́ва Моего́ и я́рости Мое́й существова́л го́род сей с са́мого дня построе́ния его́ до сего́ дня, что́бы Я отве́рг его́ от лица́ Моего́

because of all the evil of the children of Israel and the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me to anger — they, their kings, their princes, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

за всё зло сынове́й Изра́иля и сынове́й Иу́ды, како́е они́ к прогневле́нию Меня́ де́лали, они́, цари́ их, князья́ их, свяще́нники их и проро́ки их, и мужи́ Иу́ды и жи́тели Иерусали́ма.

And they have turned to Me the back, and not the face; though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

Они́ обороти́лись ко Мне спино́ю, а не лицо́м; и когда́ Я учи́л их, с ра́ннего у́тра учи́л, они́ не хоте́ли приня́ть наставле́ния,

But they set their abominations in [e]the house which is called by My name, to defile it.

и в до́ме, над кото́рым наречено́ и́мя Моё, поста́вили ме́рзости свои́, оскверня́я его́.

And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’

Устро́или ка́пища Ваа́лу в доли́не сынове́й Енно́мовых, что́бы проводи́ть че́рез ого́нь сынове́й свои́х и дочере́й свои́х в честь Моло́ху, чего́ Я не повелева́л им, и Мне на ум не приходи́ло, что́бы они́ де́лали э́ту ме́рзость, вводя́ в грех Иу́ду.

“Now therefore, thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say, ‘It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

И одна́ко же ны́не так говори́т Госпо́дь, Бог Изра́илев, об э́том го́роде, о кото́ром вы говори́те: «он предаётся в ру́ки царя́ Вавило́нского мечо́м и го́лодом и морово́ю я́звою», —

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.

вот, Я соберу́ их из всех стран, в кото́рые изгна́л их во гне́ве Моём и в я́рости Мое́й и в вели́ком негодова́нии, и возвращу́ их на ме́сто сие́ и дам им безопа́сное житие́.

They shall be My people, and I will be their God;

Они́ бу́дут Мои́м наро́дом, а Я бу́ду им Бо́гом.

then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.

И дам им одно́ се́рдце и оди́н путь, что́бы боя́лись Меня́ во все дни жи́зни, ко бла́гу своему́ и бла́гу дете́й свои́х по́сле них.

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.

И заключу́ с ни́ми ве́чный заве́т, по кото́рому Я не отвращу́сь от них, что́бы благотвори́ть им, и страх Мой вложу́ в сердца́ их, что́бы они́ не отступа́ли от Меня́.

Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will [f]assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.’

И бу́ду ра́доваться о них, благотворя́ им, и насажду́ их на земле́ сей твёрдо, от всего́ се́рдца Моего́ и от всей души́ Мое́й.

“For thus says the Lord: ‘Just as I have brought all this great calamity on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them.

И́бо так говори́т Госпо́дь: как Я навёл на наро́д сей всё э́то вели́кое зло, так наведу́ на них всё бла́го, како́е Я изрёк о них.

And fields will be bought in this land of which you say, “It is desolate, without man or beast; it has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.”

И бу́дут покупа́ть поля́ в земле́ сей, о кото́рой вы говори́те: «э́то пусты́ня, без люде́й и без скота́; она́ о́тдана в ру́ки Халде́ям»;

Men will buy fields for money, sign deeds and seal them, and take witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the [g]lowland, and in the cities of the [h]South; for I will cause their captives to return,’ says the Lord.”

бу́дут покупа́ть поля́ за серебро́ и вноси́ть в за́писи, и запеча́тывать и приглаша́ть свиде́телей — в земле́ Вениами́новой и в окре́стностях Иерусали́ма, и в города́х Иу́ды и в города́х наго́рных, и в города́х ни́зменных и в города́х ю́жных; и́бо возвращу́ плен их, говори́т Госпо́дь.
